I ordered hot & sour soup here since I was staying at a nearby hotel. The horrific Yelp reviews really scared me but it was the closest Chinese restaurant & dangerous lightning storms were occurring. I took a chance. I walked in at 7:30 PM & there were no customers. The cashier was talking a phone order. 6 bags of delivery orders were lined up on the counter. I paid & left behind the delivery driver who was (not young, and) running with all 6 bags in her hands, in the rain! I got back to my hotel & I was saddened to see the pale broth that seems to be typical of hot & sour soups of the Northeast US. I cut my teeth on LA California's dark, rich, slightly sweet, hot & sour soup bases. However, the aroma was pleasant. The soup did NOT Taste like my favorite hot & sours...but the flavor was delicious!! There was no visible meat, but I'm sure there was a meat-based broth. The soup was loaded with eggs, bamboo shoots, cut Lily buds & mushrooms. I was very satisfied & I would return. Women's restroom was clean. read more

Typically I'm happy with my orders from here but the last two I'm NOT happy with. first, I had a mixup with their online tip (i typed $35 thinking that was the total I wanted to pay, my fault) and when I called them they said they would fix it. Then they said I'd get a call back from the manager. Never did, and it's "too late" now so they got a $35 tip on a damn $27 order. I have 1 Star for the Lady at the register. Now I didn't notice anyone in the back. After 3 minutes 2 cooks came from outside, went straight to work getting my food. I have given this place my last try. Used to stop for lunch buffet. Last couple times I was really wondering why. At 11:30 AM the food should not be luke warm. I tried the hot and sour soup and the House Special LoMein. Both were excellent. The hot and sour is lighter in color than the Boston, MA soup I am used to. However, the flavor was the best I ever had! It was loaded with vegetables and had an awesome garlic taste! The Lo Mein was perfect with lots of meat and shrimp! I keep giving this place a try and it continually disappoints me. The food at China Inn is significantly better. One of my favorite favorite dishes is crab rangoon and I really don't know how you mess that up but in all my experience this is supposed to be slightly sweet. The ones from here are not even a little sweet they are disgusting and they cost 2 dollars more than at China Inn. I do not like this place. The service is only decent and the food and is even worse. It's not very good Chinese food. The only times I've eat it is because they deliver and sometimes it's convenient. The buffet they have in there is small and questionable. I never leave pleased with what I've eaten. Tried this place 4 times. Ate here twice and walked out the other 2 times. The buffet at 7 pm on Thursday night looked like 20 grade school kids just went thru it. Messy dried up and just very old looking food left there to choose from. We had to walk out because all the tables were dirty, every last one and only 2 people in restaurant waiting on I assume take out. They were actually prepping food on one of the dining tables! This is twice at almost the same time on the same day this has happened. We try to help the little folks and small businesses by patronizing them. We wont be back here. read more

This may be the best China style eatery i have ever been to and is close to my 3rd favorite junk yard in this nation. Their noodles are a photo booth of desire and i hope the stains they have left on my clothes will be everlasting. They did not even give me a cross look when I requested no frozen water in my liquid water. I may be both physically and mentally addicted to MSG and this place is like a crack den of delicious. Never, ever again will I dine at this restaurant. I went a few years back and dined in. During that experience my sesame chicken was not fully cooked. The owner's children hung out in the dining area while we were served, and I felt as if I were intruding upon their family time.
