Great General Tso's Chicken in generous portions. No dine-in. Takeout only I believe.

I tried it for the first tome today and really enjoyed it! I ordered the shrimp lo mein lunch special and a shrimp egg roll. The prices are great and the portions are huge! When I called in to place my order it rang forever. I almost hung up when someone had finally answered. He was very nice and made sure he had my order right before he hung up the phone. These guys are located off the square, so finding a place to park can be tricky. When I arrived and opened the door they have a table blocking the entrance so people cannot come in as a precaution due to COVID. My order wasn't ready yet so I waited outside where they had a heater to keep patrons warm. The food itself was very good. The shrimp lo mein was packed with veggies, and had a fair amount of shrimp in it. It came with their pork fried rice which was pretty good as well. I don't like onions and it had huge chunks of onions in it. Luckily because they were so big I could easily pick them out. The portions were enormous. I basically ate two lunches - one at 12, and then again at 2. I still have enough for one more meal! The shrimp egg roll wasn't the best I've ever had, but it was good. I would order both items again, but I'm eager to try more things off their menu.

The food is always great. I call ahead and when I arrive I have it in a few minutes. Whatever I order I am happy with.

Food was horrible, seems like they reheated the food and sent it out. I don't recommend this place. Rated 1 star cause I have no choice.

Standard serve yerself buffet with the usual favorites, but I was overjoyed to find steak slices w/ mushrooms marinated in fish sauce (don't judge me - was good!). Interactions with staff were good & everyone seemed friendly. Vibe is not super fancy - just a good down-to-Earth buffet. I had heard about this place for years from friends living in the area, but never had gotten around to trying it out - wish I had sooner.

For nearly 11 years we've resided in delightful Gettysburg and have been enjoying Li's for most of that time ever since it was converted from a karate studio to a Chinese restaurant, although the majority has been take out over the last 6-7 years. Tonight i was hungry after a 4 hour drive home and decided upon this reliable dining establishment. I was immediately greeted and seated by a young and affable woman named "Abby" who spoke little English (and I speak zero mandarin!) I arrived at 4pm on a Monday which was the dinner buffet (see photo). There was only one other couple when I was immediately seated, however within 15 minutes there were about a dozen people and a seemingly consistent take-out business. I filled my plate and after enjoying that chose about 8 assorted sushi bites. My beverage was hot tea which was brought to my table within a minute of my arrival. Everything was fresh and tasty. My appetite mostly assuaged, I went back up for some dessert pickings (see photo) I also enjoyed a cup of wonton soup, freshly prepared. (pic attached). The bill for me came to $20.09 plus a tip which I happily included because my pleasant server was so accommodating, smiled a lot, hustled, and evidently tried her best. I brought my own hand sanitizer and really think that they should be available since people touch all sort of nasty things and then touch the utensils at the buffet bar. If a tourist to our historic and charming town, check it out rather than visiting a national burger franchise. If a local as am I, order from here and support a local business, whether dining in or take out you walnt be disappointed. Oh, as if 4:30 pm as I'm wrapping up my review, there are about 18-20 people here, still with loads of seating available!

We thought we would give it a try. Who knew they had sushi too? The food is better than most any other place we have ever been to and we have travelled extensively and are foodies. The waitress was great and recommended the crab Rangoon (hand made to order) and the steamed dumplings. We got some avocado and California rolls and then shared a spicy beef soup with udon noodles. It comes with dumplings and the richest most flavorful broth and tenderest beef you've ever had in your life guaranteed!! And wasn't even terribly spicy so get it if you are afraid of spice! You won't be sorry. We noticed they have home made deserts as well like cheesecake and tiramisu. We LOVE this place and will be back a lot. A lesson learned in not judging a restaurant by its' cover. I also hear the tofu general tso's is incredible and so much so that it is even better than the chicken !

I'm writing this to help clear up the negative first impression the exterior might give. The windows only look dirty because they're covered in thick plastic. I drive between Baltimore County and Gettysburg often, and needed Christmas Day takeout. After reading the reviews (better than any in Gettysburg), I called on Christmas Eve to confirm they'd be open -- they were. Their menu is limited, but the prices are reasonable. I called in my order on the road; it took a couple tries to get through, and when I did, the woman let me know it would be a 40-minute wait because they were slammed. She was polite, repeated my order back, and I headed that way. When I arrived, the parking lot was quiet, but once inside I could clearly see how busy they really were from all the foot traffic in and out and lots of bags with each order. The restaurant was clean, and the woman working was warm, apologetic about the wait, and literally running back and forth to help everyone. She double-checked my bags, noticed a missing rice, and rushed to grab it. For three large entrees, egg rolls, and soup, my total was about $45 -- plus she offered a free 2-liter and pointed me to sauces and utensils. By the time I got to my parents' house 20 minutes later, the food was still piping hot. The egg drop soup was exactly what I hoped for, the egg rolls were tasty, and my chicken with broccoli was solid (I added some hot sauce for extra kick). My parents enjoyed their General Tso's -- plenty of sauce, mild-to-medium heat, and tender chicken. I took menus for myself and my parents; it may not be the closest option for them, but it's easily one of the better choices when I'm driving through. Friendly, appreciative service + clean space + good food = I'll absolutely be back.

It was pretty busy on Saturday when we went for dinner but we didn't have to wait too long and our food actually came out pretty fast. The service was as expected because it looked like 1 guy was serving all tables and he was literally running between table to table. I don't blame him for any waiting because he was busting his butt and we didn't really need to wait too long. We ordered a variety of dishes coming here but my favorite has to be the Homestyle Tofu or the Fish Filet. I would like to try more dishes next time. They give you quite a good amount of food for the price. Some places charge the same and give you much less. This place has authentic Chinese food with some common favorites that many of us also know (chicken with broccoli, lo mein, general tso's etc.) so there is something for everyone. Surprisingly Yi Pin is open and fully operational on a major federal holiday. The air conditioning is rather weak during our dining experience as I felt warm during the Northeast heat wave oppressive humidity continuous week. Customer service is attentive and staff is fluent in Mandarin and English. Yi Pin is a Chinese restaurant that serves regional cuisine of Shanghainese and Szechuan province. It is what my party of three refer non-Cantonese, Guangdong province 外省人 ngoi6 saang2 jan4 (noun) outside province; foreign person. Ergo, staff does not speak Cantonese - neither rudimentary level. Price is extortionate high, but expected in 2026 stagflation era. I was able to obtain the sales receipt as keepsake. Asian melon hard candy is distributed with the bill upon meal completion which is industry standard for Asian restaurants and cafes. At the bottom of the sales receipt there is a suggested gratuity in intervals of 18%, 20% and 22% where customers do not have to perform math calculation. There is one large beautiful Japanese beckoning cat, (maneki-neko) which adjacent to the cash register. Business cards are available for grabs. There is a customer parking lot available. Beef noodle soup $15.95 The soup broth bubbles are very visible for the high level of cholesterol and fat content. I believe the cook or kitchen staff used and implemented MSG. This was a big setback leading to disappointment for my three Yelp stars. Lo Mein chicken $12.95 It was stirred fried and abundant for excessive quantity. I did not consume any - neither one bite. It seemingly appeared very high grease and fat content for excessive oil. Shanghainese soup dumplings 6 pieces, $10.95 Pork steam soup dumplings siu2 lung4 baau1, 小籠包 tasted average, but not exuberant great to awaken my soul for sprightly liveliness. There were very minimal soup liquid inside the dumpling upon biting. I did ponder with hope and wonder during our wait for our food order arrival that these soup dumplings would be bursting with excessive soup liquid and flavor. It was not served piping hot as I am accustomed in NYC Shanghainese restaurant industry standards. These dumplings prepared by the cook(s) or kitchen staff at Yi Pin are egregiously appalling and insult to New York Chinese. I refused to apologize for being a native New Yorker. The dumpling skin tip where placing the serving tongs also tasted hard. Also another reason for my three Yelp stars.
