The food came out quickly from the kitchen and was piping hot. I had the mu shu pork. The good news is the vegetables and mushrooms were great, and the mushrooms very authentic. the bad news was they ran out of pancakes, kind of unforgivable since they could have whipped up a batch in just a few minutes. China king is probably the best chinese for many miles. I always get Schezwan Beef, which is both sweet and spicy, and full of fresh veggies. The meat has been very tender. Portion sizes are huge, and the lunch combo is the best deal. You get entree, and choice of side (soup, crab rangoon). I usually have enough for 2 meals. If they don't get some better plastic utensils, I might bring my own fork. They also charge for water (bottles only, no tap), and the dining room is straight-up no-frills but you're here for the food and not the ambiance. If youre passing through, stop here and skip the fast food. And bring a fork. You wont regret either. read more

Wow, didn't expect this good in Bethany! Had Hunan Chicken--all fresh vegetables including mushrooms, hot, good sauce, good flavor. Also MooShu Pork--good, fresh filling, but pancakes were dry and tasteless---more like rice paper, not moo shu pancakes we're used to, but rest was great. Note.. they are located in the old bank building on the main road now... their old location is now a nice liquor store--- get some chilled white wine to got with your Chinese! read more

If you're a local, you LOVE having this place! You won't find Chinese anywhere else around unless you travel more than 50 minutes. I grew up in St. Louis MO with all the best of the Chinese restaurants you could experience. This place cooks the food pipping hot and fresh. Every time I go back to the city I wish they had our China King there. They make THE BEST Orange Chicken I've ever had! They add these tiny orange peels that really boost the flavor in a way I've never had before. Panda Express can move aside. Ben Zou and Han are an awesome married couple that run the place with their parents. I'm a frequent customer. They start giving you free soup and extras when they get used to you. Their prices are inexpensive and comparable. Ignore the bad reviews. I've NEVER got a single hair in my food. I feel bad for that guy that posted it but it could've even blown in his car window. The cooks are careful and even wear hair nets, they have better hygiene than most of the restaurants I've been to and that's a lot! Also the owners are so kind they would give you a new meal just for something a lot more minuet like it being too spicy. I wish he would've said something to them. What a surprise! A very tasty Chinese Restaurant in Bethany right off the interstate. I had the hot and sour soup which was okay. I like mine more peppery and with more vinegar, but it was way better than a fast food burger. The meat in the Pepper Beef was tender and flavorful. Again I would have enjoyed additional pepper. The green peppers and other vegetables were cooked exactly right. There were some odd fried wonton strips with sugar for a dessert. The whole meal plus and good iced tea cost me less than $8.00. WORST RESTAURANT EVER. They couldn't PAY me to eat here after how shitty they treat customers. When I called to make a phone order I was greeted by the manger himself who was horribly rude even before I spoke a word. I gave them all my information and even asked if I could get confirmation on my order but I was abruptly cut off with "47 minutes" and he hung up. I thought you know maybe they had a bad day, WHATEVER that's just shitty customer service maybe the food and delivery guy is worth this asshole's attitude. If you want great tasting, fresh cooked, and affordable Chinese cuisine, this is the place to go! I had never heard of China King until yesterday, and I'm so glad it was recommended by a friend. The Owner/Chef who greeted us was nice, friendly and explained the ordering process (you order and pay at the counter, and then either take out your meal or they will bring it to the sitting area for you) I had three kids with me and we ordered the large quart of Sweet and Sour Chicken (with fluffy white rice), the General Tso's Chicken Combo (with chicken fried rice that tasted fresh made), the Crab Rangoon, a veggie dish and an order of 10 dumplings. There was more than enough for myself, a teenage boy, 11 year old twins, and another meal for 2 leftover. The s/s chicken is in small pieces and sauce is separate so the fussy ones can do it themselves. The bill fir all this after taxes was only $26 - We can't eat at any Hardees, BK, DQ or KFC for even close to that. We all left happy and satisfied! read more
