Singapore noodles were amazing as always. The service was polite and the restaurant was clean. Very good experience all around.

It is your run of the mill Chinese restaurant. Conveniently on the main street with adequate parking. Minimal decor inside, restrooms complete opposite of the counter, and only half the menu is on the wall. So if you are a first timer you may want to grab a to go menu for the full array. It is order at the counter but they do bring you your order. Also conveniently they serve the entrees in to-go boxes whether you order dine in or take out. I like that. Paper plate for the appetizers. The crab rangoons while filled appropriately, in my taste, did have a weird taste to it. I can't put my finger out it even now looking back. They were alright though. Not going to order them next time if I come in though because of that. Which is sad considering thats like prime number one for Americans to order at Chinese restaurants lol. Also my favorite so, disappointing. The entree I got was good. The steak texture was mushy? If that makes sense... I could tell what it should've been but it was just very soft... my steamed rice was very pressed and overly steamed in several spots where it lost recognizable rice shape. Which is whatever I mean I ate my whole entree mainly as leftovers later. The dumplings were crispy and good. Decent and average. Not stellar but worth it you're in the mood for Chinese. read more

Really love coming here. I like the Singapore Noodles extra spicy. Delicious everytime! Bo Bo platter is a little bit of everythin in appetizers. The Crab Rangoon is sweet & a special treat. Tried a new place for dinner and was not disappointed. Where most customers were ordering takeout, we opted to eat in. We split the orange chicken, fried rice and two egg rolls. It was a large amount of food so splitting was great. They brought us an extra plate and we split the meal ourselves. Everything was hot and tasty. For a dinner for less than $9 for two people it was a great deal. The only thing I wish they would change is the plastic silverware and styrofoam plates. Happy Garden is my favorite place in Maryville to get Chinese food. For around $7, I get crab rangoons, rice and a generous portion of the meat entree -- usually enough for leftovers the next day. Most of the time, I get one of the chicken or shrimp entrees, but if you feel like soup,the three they offer are reasonably priced. The wonton soup is my favorite. I usually see the same employees there whenever I stop in, and they're always friendly. My order is comes out relatively quickly and is piping hot every time. Amazing restaurant truly one of a kid. This is a great local restaurant with good bang for your buck. You can get enough food for 2 people for around $7 the portions are amazing you will not leave hungry. The parking lot is rather small but you can always find a place to park. read more

Happy Garden is my favorite place to eat Chinese food. I love spicy food, so I crave the hot and sour soup at least once a week. I lived in Maryville for 18 months, only did I try this place in the last 2 I lived there, and how I regret not trying it sooner. The food is very, very good and fairly inexpensive. The only thing I did not like was their egg rolls, which had a minty taste to it, and not sure why. Otherwise everything was great. Let me start off by saying the food is awesome! In the past three years I haven't encountered a problem with this establishment. I went here at least once a week but they've always been a bit stingy when it came to extra sauces. I usually get the same thing every time I visit, afterwards I ask for two to three extra sweet and sour sauces that I like to put on my food. Today I asked for two extra sweet and sour sauces, very politely may I add, and the lady working blatantly rolled her eyes at me and walked in the kitchen. She returns to the lobby with one, hands it to me and I immediately left. I love the food here but after this I just felt so disrespected it will be hard returning with the same attitude. Yummy beef & broccoli, even if the sauce is a tad salty (I kinda like it that way). The beef is actually tender and delicious, unlike the usual beef at Chinese places that's full of grisly bits and tough. I like that you get a bit of rice and a couple of mini egg rolls (or crab rangoon if you'd rather) with your meal. And they get bonus points for delivering straight to my dorm! Only complaint so far: they won't steam their dumplings, only fry 'em. :( read more

i have eaten here a time or two. for me it was sort of hard to understand the server. the food was good and hot.

Went there to try it out.. the worse Chinese food I have ever tried and the customer service was terrible. The chicken lo mein I ordered had no flavor. My friend ordered the orange chicken and it was served to her cold. She then alerted the server who began arguing with my friend about how they just took her food off the "cooker." The server picked up the plate and then stated, very rudely, that she can microwave it for her. At this point all my friend wanted was a refund but the lady took the plate and mumbled something to herself. They did end up cooking her a fresh plate of food that was hot (which is how it should have been in the first place) but that was at least an hour and a half after we had initially ordered. Had she been respectful and took my friends concerns seriously then I might have rated them a 3, but due to the customer service and tasteless food I will not be returning to this establishment nor recommending to any of my friends. read more
