I am a local and it's one of my go to places. The food is always fresh although it is a small buffet. They've always got good reviews with the health inspector. Food- 8/10 It's a small American Chinese buffet but it ticks off all the boxes for when you're craving this kind of food. It filling and if you're looking for spice, don't miss the chili oil cause it made even me tear up. So good. Service- 10/10 The ladies working are always around to help. Me and my buddy we're driving through from backpacking in Virginia. This place was actually bomb. I'm usually skeptical about buffets but my friend was really wanting one and this was absolutely a hit. About 6:00 on Tuesday and it's packed with locals. Service was awesome and friendly but most important the food was actually awesome. Hot and fresh most importantly but their general Tso chicken was great. During the Last Twenty years this place has changed hands a few times. with a few minor improvements with every new owner, but the main setup is still the same. Place is kept clean, The food on the buffet is warm during the busy hours, But after seven 7.00 pm , it can be out of its full potential. Specially during the winters the evening dinner rush hour starts about 4.30 PM. there is never an early Bird special at this place but many seniors arrive to dine early. There is also a choice of carryout from the Buffet the price is by the pound and is reasonable for this town. The food wasn't great but for the price it was fulfilling. The best thing we got was the veggie friend rice- it was actually really good! The bean curd with mixed vegetables was pretty gross. The tofu tasted old and sour. I wouldn't recommend coming here for authentic food but if you want a cheap take out option this is a good spot. read more

Weekend nights are the best time to visit because they have sushi and cocktail shrimp during these times. The staff's English is sometimes not very good, but they are always friendly and they are constantly cleaning. This place is great for take out, you can go in and load up a Styrofoam container at lunch or dinner time and be out the door in less than five minutes, and they weigh the amount of food you're getting, so if you're a light eater like me, you can have lunch for around $3. Definitely better to go when the place is busy to ensure the food is fresh on the buffet. read more

Were feeling in the mood for some Chinese buffet on the way up to Cedar Point, and used yelp app to identify this place. When we first pulled up it seemed sketchy - they don't accept credit cards, the place was absolutely empty and the buffet was very small. However, once we got to taste the food those fears were put to rest. First, every dish I tried tasted great and was at the proper temperature. I have been to too many Chinese buffets where the food is lukewarm/cold (ahem ahem Hunan Gate in Ballston) - not the case here. I had a pile of lo mein, garlic chicken and broccoli, a pile of mushrooms and pork pieces, egg drop soup with crackers, shrimp balls and this dessert dish that I call "sugary donut balls" because I'm not sure what they are called or how else to describe them. Literally every one of these foods tasted great and it was hard to decide between them. Unfortunately, the plates were small so there was only so much you can fit on your plate per trip. Still, I stuffed myself silly as did the others. This amazing meal was super cheap also, around $7 per person. Complaints: Please provide bigger plates for the lazy people who don't want to make a billion trips, and please accept credit cards for the lazy people who don't feel like finding an ATM to get cash. The service was helpfully and friendly, that's why I gave this place 1 star and not -2. The buffet itself is meager and what little they offer is precariously positioned in the corner of the room so only a few people may visit the food trough at a time. As the line forms behind the buffet you are left hoping there are enough scraps left to piece together some semblance of a meal when it is your turn. I felt like the runt of the litter being muscled off the suckling teat by my fat, greedy liter mates. A bit dramatic I know... When it was my turn at the trough, there was very little to choose from. The buffet itself did not look like it had been cleaned since the previous feeding. The almost empty bowl of egg drop soup formed a slimy crust along the inside of the bowl and buffet surface. It looked like some kind of Jackson Pollock vomit art. I decided that I would grab a few items from the buffet and try to return when they freshened the inventory. As I ate my soup and scraps I happened to glance at the patron in front of me; starring right back was his hairy overweight plumbers crack. I then decided that I had enough and asked for my check. So I guess if you are one of those people who make recommendations based on portion size then you might like this place because it's a buffet, portion sizes are entirely up to you. If, however, you value taste and cleanliness for the love of all that is holy, avoid this place at all cost. read more

I was pleasantly surprised at lunch today when I stopped and there was freshly made sushi amongst the buffet options. It was freshly made and fully cooked. This was not the typical buffet sushi that you would normally steer clear of. I would have paid far more than the per pound rate they charged just to have fresh sushi available in Bedford. Quite good, the usual soups, about 15 hot appetizers and entrees, noodles, salads, etc., it is all freshly cooked, even in the middle of the afternoon. Their food seems to be lighter, less salt and oil, than most similar places. This is one of the few places in Bedford that I will take a visitor. read more

What an awesome surprise this place is. Our tour group found it while traveling. Very clean restaurant, food was pleasantly fresh and tasty (kind of surprising for a Chinese buffet). Yesterday I ate at the King Buffet. I don't know why it's called the New King Buffet. Nothing has changed about it. I arrived there about 1:45pm. The food I got off the buffet was stone cold. I told the waitress and she did nothing. I called her over second time. I said it's cold and she just looked at me. I told her I wanted it heated up. She stood there like a dummy. Finally she said something to the other worker and it was heated up in the microwave that's sitting on a table near the register. This isn't the first time the food wasn't hot. For a small town in the middle of nowhere this is the best bargain for a good meal. I eat here at least 3 times a month because the food is good, price is right, and I have had no complaints about wait staff or cleanliness. Yeah, maybe it does need new flooring and a few touch ups, but I don't eat off the floor. I always pay cash, but to update on complaints for other reviewers, I believe they do accept credit cards now. It's better food and you get more for your money than going to a burger king or macdonalds. In reference to the complaints about food being cold....I want my food hot too and I have rarely had a problem with any of the food not being hot enough. Reviewers are way too critical. If you want some place fancy with 100 dishes on the buffet go to a big city and leave us small town people have our good, decent place to eat. read more
