China King - Wrong order, overcharged, and rude customer service I ordered vegetable fried rice, but when I got home and opened the stapled-shut packaging (which makes it hard to check orders at pickup), I found house special fried rice instead, with shrimp, beef, and other meats in it. I was also charged for the house special, which I confirmed on the receipt. I understand they were extremely busy, but mistakes happen. What mattered most was how it was handled afterward. When I called to explain the issue, the response was very rude. I was told they would "take care of it next time." I explained that I rarely come there--this was only my second or third visit in about three years--and that I would not be back for a long time. The girl responded with "too bad" and then hung up on me. Between receiving the wrong food, being overcharged, and being treated rudely on the phone, this was a very frustrating experience. Customer service like that ensures I won't be returning, and I wouldn't recommend this place to others. read more

Very friendly service! Our food was brought out quickly. The lunch special is a very good deal! Lots of food for only $8.75. The Crab Rangoon is very delicious although the cream cheese in the middle tastes very cream cheesey. The shrimp curry was tasty but I wish that there was more shrimp. I had a tofu (bean curd) dish. I didn't know what it was as the cashier couldn't explain it. It was listed as being hot (chilis) and I asked how hot - was told "not very." There was no heat in it at all. It was sweet in some sort of brown sauce. The spring rolls were ok. Won't go back. read more

China King-Eureka has been our go-to Chinese restaurant for years. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. Food is prepared quickly and is always hot and tastes fresh. The crab rangoon is a sweet recipe -- and really good. I'm especially a fan of the hot pepper chicken, veggie lo-mein, and honey chicken. During times when I've needed to follow a special diet, the owner has worked with me, making suggestions. For drinks, they no longer have fountain drinks, which is really the only thing I don't like. They do have bottles available for purchase. If you're looking for a place to grab some quick Chinese food, give them a try. read more

Since the daughter has taken over the counter the place hasn't been the same. A few weeks ago she accidentally charged us $402 instead of $42 and when asked to fix the mistake she said she couldn't cancel the transaction and would have to just pay us the extra money. Which then took 4 business days to get back into the account. I understand accidents happen, but something as serious as over charging someone is a hard one to over look. Then yesterday evening we decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and try one more time. We got the order and began to check it before leaving to make sure everything was right, the daughter then told us we were interrogating her. Excuse me? I can't check my food to make sure it's correct before I leave to go home?? Most people double check their orders anywhere they go because no one wants to get all the way back home and wind up with the wrong food, especially if it's for kids. We didn't finish checking the order after her disrespectful comment, our mistake, because of course when we got home the order was wrong. Instead of chicken they gave us beef. I called up there this morning to just let them know and hopefully in the future help them not make these small mistakes, the daughter answered the phone and when I asked for a manager or owner her tone was rude. When her father picked up the phone he then said no manager and hung up. Great food, service could use some work. We have been going here for years and it's by far our favorite place as far as taste and flavor goes. Sad to see the service declining. Second order, second screw up. Simple order: two orders of pepper chicken. First time, she charged me $30 and only gave me one order. That time I checked it in the car before I left and had to go back and wait for them to cook the second order. This time I sent my college aged son to pick it up. Same order, but once again after repeating the order back to me, they failed to put two orders in the bag. When I called, the answer he kept giving me was that he only charged me for one order. Well, my son doesn't know how much it was supposed to be, so he thought $19 was appropriate for 2 orders. He's used to panda express prices. Dropped in here on way to springfield. Happy with my choice. Ordered Egg fu yong. Portion size humongous, taste pretty good. Good place to sit and eat but most people had take outs. They don't have fountain machine only bottles and cans. Since I didn't want a soda or bottled water they said they didn't have any drinking water. Bummer!! I have been going to this restaurant for about 10 years but the last 2 times I've been in there has been issues. One order they didn't give me the rice for my moo goo gai pan. The next time the stuff was just plain bad ...the moo goo gai pain basically had water crest and mushrooms only was totally missing carrot and snow peas and had green pepper which should not have been in it. It was really bland like some forgot to use any seasoning at all even salt, and My husband's egg roll was burnt to a crisp. read more

We have been regulars here for years, Kelly knows us by name and our families order. We always get the general tso chicken, sweet & sour chicken, chicken fried rice, house special lomein (to die for!), crab Rangoon (also amazing!), beef & broccoli, and wanton soup. Flavors are very rich and quite consistent every time we go. Lots of food, even tastier leftovers :) Fast service. Usually only takes 15 min (call ahead and let them know what time you'll be there).
