China Town has the absolute Competitive Edge over a majority of USA's nationwide Chinese Restaurants when it comes to their Hot & Sour Soups. Whenever I am in desire for great soup, I usually go for Chinese Hot & Sour Soups. It's the best pick-me-up soups on the market. Today, I am feeling a little bit under the weather with an illness, so I checked out China Town restaurant in Wichita, KS for the first time ever. I ordered a quart their Hot & Sour Soup to go and when I got home, I opened the lid and the amazingly fresh aroma and sight was truly a Heavenly Meal done right. The taste was truly the best I have ever had, with all fresh ingredients and superb base broth. Again, it was truly a Delicious, Healthy and Absolutely A Heavenly Meal prepared by a "Master Chef." If this chef were to ever go on the Food Channel and compete against Bobby Flay and his "Throw Downs" or other Master Chefs on that show, I would bet an obscene amount of wager on the Master Chef of China Town to win in the perfect Chinese Hot & Sour Soups competition. I will definitely be back soon to try out the Master Chef's other dishes too, and follow up with my comments and recommendations on the other food selections too. Lunchtime delivery was super fast. This was the best part of the order. My order was Singapore rice noodles and Pepper Chicken. The noodles were not rice noodles. They looked and had the consistency of angel hair pasta. The were not translucent nor did they taste like rice noodles. Getting vegetables in the noodles cost extra. The pepper chicken was just gross, unless you like dessert chicken. I don't like sugary sauce, so I ordered a dish that is usually not sweet. I could see the pepper, but not taste it. All I could taste was sweet. I got a flyer in the mail that this place had opened and wanted to give them a try. I did. I am $32 poorer, still hungry, and won't be returning. read more

Absolutely perfect. I ordered online, pickup was a simple process. Staff was very friendly and efficient. Egg drop soup was amazing. Honey chicken was great portion and filling. This is going to be one of my favorite pick up spots in the future. Reheated leftovers were amazing. read more

New owners and it's fresh and fantastic! Please support the new owners as the bad reviews are from old owners and a different name. We moved here a year ago and recently discovered this gem from another local famous reviewer and so glad we did. Don't recommend eating there.. you can buy it's so busy to go orders and pick up window that you'll want to take it home. So Rrrrruuuuuuude!!!! The manager/owner or guy that's always there (mid 30s maybe) is so friggin rude, and always is. The food has always been on point so I continued to order both carry out and delivery. But tonight will be my last time ordering. When a customer says thank you, you don't turn your back and say NOTHING. Brought me the wrong kind of soda too. I feel bad I tipped. Never again. I just can't. Awesome sushi, there's not a lot in that area, and it's convenient. They even deliver! I like the hibachi meals; the veggies are fresh, the brown sauce perfect, and the fried rice had real eggs in it (fresh!), and the shrimp was great quality. The eggrolls are different than a lot of places, more savory and very great. I also like the sushi or noodles, I had ordered from here for years (I live close). I personally love the spicy crunchy tuna roll! Awesome batter and crunch!!!!! They also have RAMEN!!! Made fresh of course, sometimes they run out! Fuji is one of the few Japanese restaurants in town, but it is one of the best. It is a small hole in the wall, but the food here is delicious. I ate the Yakisoba steak. Moderately priced at 8.55, but it was wonderful. The sauce has a great beef flavor, and it also has onions, carrots, broccoli, zucchini and mushrooms in the dish. I ordered without zucchini and mushrooms and there were no problems altering the order. The steak was well done, but tender. The noodles themselves have a delicious bite to them, as ramen noodles should. The vegetables are crisp and flacorful. I also ordered a side of Gyoza for 5.95. It comes with 5 dumplings. (which I ate too quickly to get a picture of). Gyoza is a steamed dumpling, which is then placed on a flat top grill to crisp up one side. It is served with a side of soy sauce. The beef inside is very tender and the dumpling holds it's shape well. There are a few downsides. Being a hole in the wall. The eating area is relatively small and is nothing too lavish. The dishes come out on paper plates, and everything is disposable from the cups, to the silverware. It's a simple place. The customer service is good, but not exceptional. The best part of the place though, is that they deliver. Typically, that is how I order food from this restaurant. It is quick, you can pay with a credit card and the food comes hot. If you are wanting a quick bite, but feel more comfortable at home, I would recommend delivery. All in all, I give this place 3 stars. While the food is delicious, the decor is a bit lacking. While I don't have a problem with being pretty self serve, I would like to see better quality dishes and utensils. Avoid eating in, to avoid these problems. read more

Ordered miso soup $1.65, not a bad price, but it tasted as watered down and bland as I've had it. I was suspicious it may have been made with a miso soup packet. Also ordered the spicy tuna roll $6.95, rather overpriced for Wichita, especially at the quality presented. This roll was the saddest example of a spicy tuna roll I've seen, there was a tremendous amount of cream cheese and very little tuna, dillons makes sushi at a quality far exceeding this and that is saying something. Also I should note they do not provide a dish for soy sauce. And ordered a rainbow roll $7.95, average price, quality presented also was subpar. At this point I am not sure anyone at this location actually understands sushi making, I am also regretting my purchase. I've been aware of Fuji for many years, going back to when it was named something different, but they've never been very high on my priority list. That they've been there for so many years (dating back to when my wife was in high school) was a positive signal that I overlooked. The tofu yakisoba I ordered was fine in and of itself - a little greasy, maybe - but there was a lot more vegetables than I usually find in a noodle dish like this. Most impressive was the firm tofu, fried and seasoned to be crispy little bites that give way to a custardy interior. It's among the most effort I've seen put into making the curd taste like anything beyond its typical boring self. Given the price and overall ambiance I don't think anyone is expecting any kind of spiritual experience from the sushi, but if you're interested in the loud dressed-up kind of rolls that have creative names or lots of fried bits, Fuji is as good as anywhere else. The rainbow roll hit the spot, but what was more interesting was the sweet potato roll, a simple maki of fried sweet potato. This starch-on-starch roll of decidedly non-Japanese origin works better than it should, with the texture of the sweet potato similar to that of avocado. Perhaps I underestimated Fuji. Fast casual Japanese food is in limited supply in Wichita, and there's plenty of room for an underdog restaurant that can deliver on their modest promises of affordable sushi and piles of slurpable noodles. I'm disappointed it took me so long to find this out for myself. read more

Ordered on the website and went to pick it up. I got the eel roll, the crunchy spicy tuna roll, and a small portion of fried rice. I was going to wait and try them again before writing a review but I figured it was good enough. I really liked the tuna roll, it tasted like a cheaper version of the Stonehenge roll from wasabi. And it was much cheaper which makes me happy (about 7 bucks). The eel roll was as good as they typically get but probably won't get it again just so I can try more things. The fried rice was meh, they are definitely a Japanese place. I am looking forward to ordering from them again. Especially because they deliver, they're cheap, it's fresh and tastes like they know what they are doing, and duh, because it's sushi. Keep it up Fuji. read more

I thought the food at the previous restaurant in this location was pretty good (Yamasa.. similar if not identical menu), so I thought I would try Fuji. The specific reason I tired them last night was that they deliver.. which is a big plus in this part of town. I ordered Maki roll and Yakisoba beef. IMO, being a Japanese restaurant, your goal at a minumum should be to have better sushi than say a grocery store that is a block away from you. I felt they fell short of this. The Yakisoba beef was okay, but not quite as good as I remember it being from the previous restaurant. Fuji is our #1 stop for take out food. It's reasonably priced and absolutely delicious! My husband and I always order the teriyaki chicken with fried rice and we've never been disappointed. Tried it today: ordered beef yaki soba, crab Rangoon and M. had crunchy spicy crab roll. The Yaki soba was sweet did not taste anything like yaki soba; more lo mein than y soba. Nevertheless it was good; veggies with and mushrooms. Crab Rangoon; looked like their wraps had sugar sprinkled on it; also sweeter than I'm used to; the crab roll had 5 pieces dipped and deep fried. I love their sushi, I love the fact that they deliver all the way to my home and job, and it's fairly inexpensive.

I used to eat here but received the worst customer service ever! My son went there and placed an order and received fried shrimp instead of Teriyaki vegetables that he ordered. My son is a 30 year old successful business owner and he is very much so capable of placing an order. He and his family are also vegan. I went back to exchange the shrimp for Teriyaki vegetables because his son was in the hospital and he didn't want to leave him again, the person that came out to the register told me that he did order the shrimp and did nothing to resolve the issue. Myself and all of my children used to frequent the place but will never go again! So RUDE!!! read more

Iv ordered delivery from Fuji Grill twice now, the food is great and super cheap. The only complaint i would have Is when you order over the phone whoever it is that answers isn't very friendly, that wouldn't stop me from ordering there. Also if you call your able to put the tip on your card and they don't have that option on the online ordering system, so thats nice. read more
