Byer beware tried to order the General Tso Chicken combination and they offered Vegie fried rice and charged extra 6.95. When asked why so much said because stated I requested instead of the normal meal which was untrue. One entree and crab Rangoon cost 33. We have been going there for over 30 years. I've been ordering from this restaurant for 23 years. The general tso's sauce is my favorite. They also don't put onions in fried rice, which is great. My issue is the price. The menu says $9. However in the last 6 months, I've been charged $21.50, $22.57, $23.76, and most recently $24.89 for two L30's. It's definitely the most expensive Chinese food, and for Marion. With these prices, they won't be in business much longer. I understand you have bills to pay but I'm not going to be contributing going forward. read more

Unlike another review (posted 15 hours before I arrived here) the place did NOT have cobwebs and was not, in any way dirty. I noticed the author of that review was from San Francisco CA so I have to believe he got confused and reviewed this restaurant by mistake when some awful Asian place in San Francisco CA was meant to be reviewed. The reason for my slightly below average rating was that the food was all pretty bland and, worse yet, the woman working the front desk acted as if she was doing me a huge favor by waiting on me. Asian food is not supposed to be so bland it tastes like it should be served in an old folks home. The one bright spot was the excellent hot and sour soup, which was unlike any hot and sour soup I've gotten anywhere else. It was pretty spicy and full of so many items that it was very unique. The only thing I'll likely purchase if I come back to this will be the soup. Otherwise, there are just too many other great Asian places where the help can crack a smile when they serve you. read more

The fried wontons are the only food worth consuming here. The chicken had a distinct fishy smell and taste. It was as if the same pan was used to cook the seafood and chicken. The atmosphere is outdated and dirty. This is NOT a restaurant you want to dine in--take out only. The prices are very reasonable but not enough to overcome the other negatives. read more

I have eaten General Tso's from Chinatown in L.A. to Chinatown in New York City and countless places in between. It's my go to dish; I love it. I don't know what China Wok put into that sacred little paper bucket, but it was most certainly not General Tso's! The color of the glaze was wrong, a red suspiciously similar to BBQ sauce. The flavor was wrong, though strikingly similar to , surprise, BBQ sauce... And the fried rice was absent the usual egg, peas and optional carrots. Very dirty in the restaurant and the lady working can barely hear them talk at all. Food tastes old. Cobwebs all over the place the bathrooms look aweful filled with cobwebs and holes are stuffed with paper towels. Absolutely no toilet paper available at all!!! And had to throw the paper towels in the trash after been soiled with human aftermath!!! According to their sign on the wall stating that they were out of toilet paper! The health department has been notified moments after we left the establishment!!!! read more

The food there is really good. I order over the phone as they deliver and, honestly, the only problem I have with them is their customer service. It's somewhat substandard. It's sort of hard to explain. Anyways, the food is spot on and the prices arent too bad, although i feel like it's rather much for the proportions of food you get. Sadly what started out to be a promising experience ended up in a bitter disappointment. Whereas the food is decently priced the quality is minimal and leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Word to the wise when ordering Crab Rangoon wontons if you wish to have the dipping sauce that normally comes with them- you will be charged .75 for it. We were not told that, and because of such -we had a rude awakening when we got our food back to the house. What Chinese food restaurant serves any kind of wontons without a dipping sauce? We asked if there would be a way that they could put it in their delivery schedule and swing by to drop off the sauce - they agree to only after they would charge us $.75 for the sauce and 4.00 for delivery fee. With such a debacle just trying to get the sauce for my wontons it left a bad taste in my mouth with the rest of the food. The beef from the beef and broccoli combination plate had an undesirable consistency, the broccoli tasted charred and their fried rice was mushy and not very fried at all. I will not order from here again nor will I recommend that my friends or family or anyone I know, do so. With the prices being so reasonable it's clearly obvious case of "you get what you pay for". I will pay higher prices if it means I have a better quality of food and service ! read more

My Husband and I like going to China Wok for their hot and sour soup. Of course we had a couple of complaints in the past of the soup being under cooked or not what we had ordered correctly. We live half an hour away from the place anyways so it's quite a bit of gas to and from there. We just ordered hot and sour soup tonight and usually my husband checks the soup before we leave their business which he did. On top of that the son of the owner took our order and then read it back to us which was correct. So they made the soup and we checked it and it did look done but we drove all the way home and put it in bowls to eat and come to find out they put pork in my husbands soup which he asked for that not to happen and both of our soups were gooey and not done which tasted nasty for sure. I'm 6 months pregnant and can't eat under cooked food like that. So we called them and told them about the soup and the owner she said to bring it back and she would make brand new of the soup to give us. We drove all the way back up there for new soup and we went in and she hatefully took the soup from us and hatefully opened the cash register drawer and quickly pulled out the money to give us a refund and told us that she won't make the soup that there has been way too many complaints. Then my husband asked why can't they make the soup and she said they don't have time when they have 3 more hours left with the business opened. She was turning us down just because we wanted us out of there and didn't want us to have the soup. She was very hateful about it and half the time she never looks you right in the eyes when verbally talking. Not to mention but she has her kids in the place with her and they're in and out of the kitchen all the time when we're there. The son helps more but she has two girls in there and sometimes they go back and help make the food but never wear gloves or wash their hands when walking out from the diner area. They mess with their clothes and hair and touch tables and everything and never wash hands at all and that's when they put their hands all over the food. It's not like anyone eats there anyways in the diner area let a lone it never seems like they get much business. They just lost a customer for all that we're concerned. I wouldn't send anyone there to eat since they can't cook their food right let alone get the order right half the time. read more
