We always have good food here. Staff is nice, not overly friendly, but polite. Always get refills on drinks without having to ask. The buffet is clean and neat with fresh food being brought out frequently. I can't speak to the cleanliness of the bathroom, I haven't used it. I think the food in here is great however, the service is awful If you get a buffet to go, they follow you around and watch everything you are doing and then when you go to check out, they embarrass you by saying "too heavy" or "too much" things like that!!! Its embarrassing. Lid closes and all is well but not with them. They love embarrassing you. If you dont want us getting heavy stuff or you think we got too much, then charge by weight! It was awesome! The best restaurant in the world! The crawdads were awesome, and also, something a bit weird, they asked for our age. 10, 9, and 57. Staff was nice, they got us drinks without asking! The food was really incredible, so a special shoutout for the staff and the chef for making the best food in the world! Awesome atmosphere and also the chandelier was really nice! The bathroom was not trash. The ice cream swirl too! The ambiance was fancy, and also there is a fountain that my family calls, "The Fountain of Memories!" Food was decent and the restaurant was clean overall but the staff were very rude and would ignore us constantly. Biggest issue with this restaurant is when our family was done eating three staff came around the table asking if we were done over and over trying to get us to hurry up and once we were about to leave they began going to each of us demanding a tip from us and once one of us did take out some money they came up and snatched the money from our hands. Every time I go wether it's alone or with family I always get good service. The food is always fresh especially during rush.

This restaurant used to be better, but has declined over the years. A lot of flavorless dishes and a recently new pinkish sauce to their shrimp dishes?? The pink does not add to the flavor and I have no idea why it's pinkish when it should be a white sauce. They do not devein the fried shrimp and they have frogs legs, but they are absolutely horrible! The soups get cooked over and they don't replace them with fresh soup. Who wants to eat that? Now, on the good side, the fried chicken is the best I've had, so kudos for that. Also, there are a lot of choices, so you can avoid the dishes that are.... lacking. The food and service are good most of the time, but last night we had a server that would not listen. As she was cleaning up plates, she took my 5 year old's spoon and started feeding him rice from his plate that he was done with despite me waving my hand and clearly saying "no, he's done" twice, and he was too polite to feel comfortable saying no himself. She got two spoonfuls before she stopped and went to the other side of me and was about to do it to my 3 year old until I told her "no, he didn't like it". To top off the night, my 5 year old threw up later that evening when we got home because he ate too much (and was forced more), and my husband and I got to clean it up. I understand she was trying to be nice, there's a language barrier, and my kids are cute, but I repeated exactly what she asked him first that he was done, and I shouldn't have to say "no" 3 times before someone listens. I grew up going to this place and it's always had the same great owners, but if I can't trust the staff to listen to my requests with my children then I can't come back. read more

It's a buffet, go into it understanding the nature of the food and how it is prepared and you will be able to feed a family of four at a reasonable price. Despite the institutional nature of the cooking -pans of presumable "delivered ready", reheated and served on a steamer- I have rarely had something I didn't like. You do need to show some care when selecting plate. They need a bit of quality control when washing their dishes. read more

I have been eating there for a few years, food is OK. Yesterday was my last. The staff has been loud and rude in the past but their discrimination towards my daughter is uncalled for. They would not give my 9 year old daughter 1/2 Price for dinner buffet because she is tall. She felt uncomfortable and asked me why they think she is older. I never have funny tasting meat in ANY dishes (although Ive never tried the fish) the sauces are all very good, they always have soo many dishes to pick from, they have great tea + an ice cream machine and loads of desserts. This is my second review for Hong Kong Buffet located in Marion, Ohio. I often bring friends here to eat from as far away as Marietta, Ohio and Mansfield, Ohio. I have also brought friends from Oxford Mississippi to this eating establishment. All agree that this is without a doubt some of the finest Chinese food found in a very wide area. Great place to eat. I try to go here once a month or more. Service is great and you can get to go boxes if your in a hurry. Food is great especially the Sesame Chicken and General-Tso's Chicken. Waitresses are always making sure you have drinks which can be good or bad depending on how you look at it. It turned dinner half way through the meal, so the waitress pick up our bill and changed the amount. So I figured I would get some crab legs since I'm paying extra.. They only brought out a half of pan. We waited for AN HOUR AND THEY NEVER BROUGHT OUT ANYMORE CRAB LEGS!! Wow, what a rip off . We paid extra and got 3 crabs legs each. I am very disappointed in our dining experience, not only did we have to wait for over an hour for crab legs, but we were treated very badly by the manager. When I told the manager that my child was nine she did not believe me because my daughter is big for her age. She argued with me and treated me as if I was a liar. I sent my child to our car to retrieve her birth certificate to prove that she was nine years of age. This is the third time I have had to fight with the staff at this place about my child and I will never go back. read more
