I am always hesitant on going to a brand new Chinese Restaurant. The order online is great. The menu is easy to place online order. That person who took the phone order was on point. Very Attentive. Now the food. I have eaten so much Chinese Food all over New York. I have a non Jewish/ tradition of ordering the most fried food for Hanukkah. Now CHINA WOK..They have the best fried Wontons I ever had. The wonton was light and fluffy fried and the Filling was bursting with Flavor. I highly recommend them and then some more. The egg rolls amazing wrapped roll and filling just as Great. The cost is still worth it in the time of Rising inflation. China WOK had only one foible and it is the 3.00 Delivery fee and expectation of still tipping driver. Double dip tipping was caught and I tipped driver accordingly. read more

Ordered for delivery right as they opened. Was told 15-20. Now I know that's not realistic, but they are only a mile or 2 away so I went with it. After 1 hour the food still wasn't there. I called to cancel because my lunch break has ended 20 minutes ago, and the guy in the phone wants to argue that it'll be there any minute. I didn't want to hang up. He didn't deserve me being rude, so I argued the time with him while trying to explain that my lunch was well past, and I wasn't going to pay for food I can't eat. Didnt care for the srimp and broccoli sauce. It was super thick for some reason. Crab rangoons were not as good as other places. My boyfriend said the lady was a little rude. But he liked the food more than i did. We both agreed bejeing house down the street is better prices, nicer folks and better tasting. D read more

China Wok - Great Menu - Chinese Near Me - Utica, New York

I can only speak for the food not the location. My parents live near Washington Mills, so when visiting my parents my mom picked me up veggie chow mei fun for dinner last week. I just assumed it was from the China House in Washington Mills. I went into the kitchen to tell her that the dish was delicious and that China House had really improved when she told me that she actually got the food from a Chinese restaurant she went to when she was my age! She said she had been in Utica for an errand a few weeks prior and decided to stop at China Wok to see if the food quality was still as good as she remembered. She thought it was just as good, if not better! I am so glad she decided to share it with the next generation because it was the best Chinese food I have ever had. By far. I wish I had ordered the sesame chicken because my family was raving about it. Next time! I only had my noodles and the spring roll, but both were so good! I am so sad that I now live too far away to have this on a normal basis! I can't wait to have it again next time I make it back home! read more

Third verse..DIFFERENT than the first (two). In an act of desperation I went back to China Wok. I spoke with the cashier and explained about my need for spicy. She explained that for most people, two spoons of "the hot stuff" is enough. She decided to give me five and had me taste it before signing off. Well, I did and I needed MORE spicy. She gawked. She actually gawked...and then she gave me four more spoons of demon juice...and I was a happy camper. So, in the end, I might just be a freak of nature...(in terms of how spicy I like my food, thank you very much)...but China Wok took the time to figure out how I likes mah food and made it just right.
