Asked my specialist, she said the nurse was unskilled and impatient. The receptionists were pretty good, besides the girl who wore a pair of glasses. I asked her how long do have to wait, she realized she skipped me from the list, but she didn't apologized or anything, she just said you're the next. Ridiculous!!! if I don't say anything, I might have to wait there forever. The doctors are awesome, that is the reason why I don't want to change to another clinic so far. Dr. Lin is daring and intelligent, she cared about every details that you said. Overall I really hope the doctors can improve the management, so that the nurses and the receptionists knows what to do and what shouldn't. Maybe set up a suggestion box in each doctors room to update the feedback from patients.

I also like that because its appointment based, you do not need to wait hours in a packed waiting room where you're ironically very likely to catch something. Also, I usually never wait for over fifteen minutes and I am most definitely out in less than an hour. For today's visit, I arrived at 10:00am on a Tuesday for my sore throat. The nurse quickly checked my vitals and my weight and afterwards, I waited for about 10 minutes before heading into Dr. Pangs office. She asked me what my complaint was and after answering that and a few questions (medications, vaccinations, etc), she performed a quick physical exam (examining the tonsils, checking lymph nodes, checking for a spleen enlargement) and a throat culture. As a nursing student, I clearly know AND saw that she was doing everything required for the focused assessment. Now I wanted to point out that Dr Pang truly is looking out for her patients. Because there was no sign of a bacterial infection, she treated me as a viral patient and did not prescribe to me antibiotics. There are doctors that just end up prescribing antibiotics during times like this, hoping to please the patient or to just clear out all of the bacteria. However, Dr Pang told me that she will give me a call in 2 days, with the culture results, and told me to be in contact in case anything gets worse. She did not want to unnecessarily give me antibiotics which can lead to fatigue/antibiotic resistance. TRUE DOCTOR, RIGHT THERE.

He seriously could not have been more respectful.**** Naturally, these things are never fun, but honestly since leaving his office, I have cringed less when replaying it in my head than I normally do when in the care of rougher doctors. Health is important so this is a step forward. I was in the area for a facial and decided to check them out to make a future appointment. They were able to schedule me for the same day (a few hour after my facial) and I had time for lunch. Perfect! It was fairly easy process. I already had all my insurance information on me (my card). Checking in via kiosk was easy but still have to manually fill out paperwork as I'm a new patient. I was seen by Dr. Flora Lau who have a gentle demeanor. She was very throughly in her explanation with step by step instructions to make you aware of what is happening (or happening next) in the exam. Exam itself was easy and quick. However, the local pharmacy (Roseview Pharmacy) that works with Excelsior Integrated Medical Group came to the rescue and was able to deliver it the same day that evening. I am highly satisfied with Excelsior Integrated Medical Group's service and care, and will support them as my primary care going forward. During my former experience on King's Highway, the worker took a PAINFULLY long time, all puns intended (felt like I was giving my entire body's worth of blood; what the heck?!). Here, I didn't even recognize the feeling on my arm & by the time that feeling was over, so was the bloodwork. Finished in record timing. Lovely considering my fear of needles. Go here for your medical tests, then treat yourself across the street. Highly recommended for an experience that I can't stand. P.S. Bummer that I have a tiny bruise on the site of needle. When I shared this with Chun Kit Chan while I was still in terrible pain, he told me it was "all in my head" and recommended that I only need Tylenol. The next day, I ended up in the ER needing emergency gallbladder removal. The ER doctor said this should have been addressed much earlier. After surgery, when I could barely walk, I needed a referral for a GI specialist. His staff member, Susan, insisted I come into the office even though my insurance confirmed it wasn't required. The doctor even said it was "not a big deal" to lose a gallbladder. Two months later, I was hospitalized again due to leftover gallstones. The hospital told me they contacted Chun Kit's office for a referral, but his staff claimed I hadn't been seen in over a year, which was completely untrue. In my experience, this doctor delayed my care, dismissed my symptoms, and contributed to unnecessary complications.

The front office staff of 3 long-time pro admins are superb always billing correctly and efficiently handling any question from insurance details (incredibly omplex stuff) to payments to scheduling all. The efficiency and speed of everything here with respectful professionalism and Dr. Chan's affable personable self make me return year on year. Hopefully, I won't have to return in between physicals.
