Had a one hour massage with Jenny she was ok and she gave a full hour. It was expensive at $70. She tried to up-sell me during massage to a deep tissue massage for $10 more. Then when paying she twice tried to charge me the extra $10 even though I turned it down. This is always annoying. I refused to let her. Nice to have a private room but it was a little cool. I also saw she did not change the upper part of the sheet from the previous customer until I insisted she did. Again annoying. read more

I went here on a Saturday night; the masseuse got me in at 7:30 (which was on relatively short notice). I laid on the table, and she started the massage. The massage itself was OK; she did some good compression techniques that cracked my back at first. Things went downhill from there. She never put any real pressure on my back or other areas when she was massaging. She left for 5 minutes around the 30 minute mark, and then again for 8 minutes around the 40 minute mark. She checked her phone during the massage (which was on the massage table) and had conversations with her coworker during the massage. We stopped at 8:24 (6 mins early). She is also pushy about the tip; she seems to think she is entitled to a tip regardless of her poor performance. Overall, the message was meh, and the service was bad. Wasted $70. read more

I had a great 90 minute massage for $100 and was leaving a $10 tip, when they said the tip was not large enough. Normally, they said, people would leave $20. I handed her another $10, but how awkward was that!?! Maybe they should just charge more for their services? read more

Being a Massage Therapist myself I am very picky about my massages and not easy to please. I called on a Friday afternoon in some real pain with my lower back and they were able to get me in that very evening (unheard of in this town because all of us therapists are so busy). I didn't have super high expectations so was pleasantly surprised that Jenny is an AMAZING therapist! Her style is very different from my own or massages I normally get in that a good portion of the massage she is up on the table using her feet on your back and it was exactly what I needed to alleviate all the tightness and super enjoyable! She is well worth what their rate is and then some. I also don't find their rate to be expensive at all contrary to what some other reviews have noted. They're still a good $40-$50 cheaper per hour than any of the rest of us in town and her work is exceptional. read more

No foot massage but they do a really nice relaxing oil/lotion massage. I gave it 4 stars because its a bit high I think in price as I can get an hour at home for $45 and they are $70 and I ask for a hard massage and got semi hard. I was good all in all and I would go back in my neck or back bothered me or if I just wanted to treat myself to a nice massage on Fathers Day. read more

My family and I are on vacation here in Fairbanks, and I needed to get my back worked on asap. The first massage place I called didn't answer (left a message; no callback 4 hours later), and the second place I called was booked up. I called Chinese Massage, and she (later learned her name is Jenny) said I could come in. So, I get there and Jenny is in the middle of working on someone, but she leads me to a semi-darkened treatment room where I can prepare and wait, which I don't mind. The table is comfortable with a hole in it for the face, and the paper towel face protection has a heart cutout for the face. "How cute," I thought. I've never seen that before. I wait 10, 15 minutes. Again, I don't mind because the atmosphere is relaxing, and I wasn't in any hurry. When Jenny came in, she didn't waste time working on me. She started with rigorous strokes up and down my back to warm it up, then did manipulations with skillful compressions on my back (which loosened me up and gently popped some of my vertebrae back in place) and legs. She used oil and a camphoraceous medicated balm reminiscent of Tiger Balm and White Flowers --this, to me, has a more gentle icy-hot effect that doesn't burn like BioFreeze does to a lot of people I know; plus it prevents the sinus congestion which commonly happens when lying face down during massage. Then she really went to work on me: cai bei (stepping massage with feet) on my back and legs, hot rocks on my back, full-body massage with deep, firm strokes (she made awesome use of her forearms and elbows), foot reflexology, massage of arms and hands. Jennie was terrific, and she really alleviated the tightness and pain in my back. I, personally, prefer deep/heavy pressure, but I've found that a skilled and knowledgeable MT would know when deep pressure in massage would be counterproductive to healing, and, in this case, I sensed that Jenny knew what I needed. Don't expect to be pampered with gentle, sedate movements and draping techniques here--she is straightforward and direct. I've enjoyed various massage modalities and techniques through the years, from high-end to inexpensive in the U.S., Bali, and Bangkok, from bad/total waste of money to mediocre/ok to really good to absolutely excellent. We live on the Hawaiian island of Oahu, which boasts tons of massage establishments/MTs, and I have to say that Jenny is one of the best and most enjoyable MTs I've experienced. I'm making a point to see her again before my vacation here is over. :) read more

She She was awesome! I haven't had many massages, but she gave me the best I've ever had, hands down. The pressure was perfect, she really dug in there! At the same time, it was very relaxing with hot stones and oils. I'm happy to pay the $70 for an hour massage here. read more
