Not exactly the easiest size to find in a pinch. Tonquin didn't have size 16 either-- but the super, super helpful guy working there understood our dilemma, and gave us a recommendation of where we COULD find a size 16, in exactly the type/brand of shoe we were looking for. He saved us from driving around all day to every Famous Footwear trying to find something that might work. So. Although I didn't end up buying anything at Tonquin, I was really impressed (and grateful!) by their "can't-get-it-at-Macy's-get-it-at-Gimbels" attitude, which saved our vacation. If I go back (and I loved the area...I'm already planning my next trip), I'd totally patronize Tonquin with my outdoorsy needs!

I went in to Hookers and Blow and was greeted instantly by a helpful employee that took me directly to what I was looking for. The prices were completely fair and the worker answered all of my questions. The focus is on quality american made knives many of them crafted right here in Oregon. Besides Kershaw, Benchmade, and Leatherman (to name a few) - this place also stocks ZT (zero tolerance) knives which are heavy duty special purpose knives made in the USA that you can't find in any large sporting goods store. The prices are not bad and (according to the owner) if something isn't in stock or it's not normally stocked, he would be more than willing to try to order it for you.
