Someone came bounding into a recent house party with a dozen of these delicious pork tamales, still warm, and made a dozen new friends. There is nothing fancy about them; just tender shredded pork in a soft corn meal, wrapped in a corn husk, but their simplicity is exactly what you need at 1 a.m. on a Saturday night. 6 for $6, (or 12 for $12), they come warm and slightly oily in a plastic sandwich bag. It's been nearly a week since I ate mine and I have nary a digestive issue in site. This is the kind of late night fare I wish were more prevalent in this town. Tamales. Yum!
