Authentic tasting food but customer service and dirty tables leaves a lot to desire. I'm familiar with the saying that places with the worst customer service have the best food, but when you're new and have questions about menu items and/or want to see the drinks you're curious about in the refrigerator, a nice attitude will go a long way. This restaurant has tables and chairs, but they don't know whether they want to be a dine in or takeout restaurant with the chairs on top of the tables. We noticed 2 men eating there, so we decided to as well. It was a good thing we took paper towels and hand sanitizer to clean the table, because the amount of dirt discovered was beyond disgusting. When shown to one of the workers, she shrugged and said "that's why people don't sit down and eat." Wow. Fortunately, the steak and shrimp taco bowls lived up to expectations, and the portion size was enough for 2 meals. I went here for a quick bite because I was craving a salad bowl. I ordered the shrimp taco salad with yellow rice and a bottle of water with the mango carrot juice. The customer service was not the best. The lady that was at the cash register seemed a little irritated answering the questions that we had about the food options and the drink options since it was our first time there. The ambience of the restaurant kind of like a to go feel restaurant, but there are tables to the left that have chairs on them. Before going, I checked the reviews for the restaurant and saw that some people chose to dine in. Then when we were ordering, we noticed that 2 man sat to eat so we thought we would sit to eat as well. Yes, you read that correctly. Chipot Lee lol well, here's what I think. It's a far cry from Chipotle but perhaps, that's not a horrible thing. They do have more menu options. Quesadillas, rice, noodles, nachos all of your fun not so authentic Mexican American cuisine. My favorite dish here is the taco salad in a crispy tortilla shell. My wish is that they would use mixed greens over crappy iceberg. It would elevate the dish so much. I despise iceberg. We've tried their burritos, tacos, quesadillas and nachos. Nachos are pretty good because you pick out your toppings so it's not just cheese on it. The soft tacos are great, style it the way you like. The crunchy tacos are not my preference but the kids love them. The prices are pretty decent, about $9 for a taco salad and $8 for a quesadilla. Not an awesome, memorable place to eat but in East Orange options are limited and this is a pretty good go to. read more

We have ordered from here a few times. At first glance one would wonder how a Italian and Mexican place would be. Also why the Lee? Despite the confusion fusion, the food is pretty good. 1st time I got a stromboli and it was huge! I think it was priced well for the portion size. The food was fresh. Next time I ordered a taco salad. It came in a large taco shell. It was filled with ample grilled chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, carrots and other veggies. It came with a side of salsa and sour cream. It was fresh and tasty not too mention huge as well. They also told me that the delivery time would be 45 minutes and it was just that. My experience was not good. I ordered the pastrami. And to my surprise the pastrami was very overcooked, burnt and crispy. Bacon should be crispy, not pastrami!! Gotta love the name ;) But trust me beyond the name, they make great food too. On the Mexican side, they got the usual taco, quesadilla, burrito, and all that. On the Chinese side, they got the general tso's, lomein, fried rice, and the like. I went for the tofu quesadilla just because I knew I would not find it elsewhere. It was super yummy. The tofu filling is pretty much like mapo tofu. The lomein and the general tso's chicken were also great. They made everything fresh, but totally worth the wait. first time ordering from this restaurant and the experience was horrible. When I first called in I asked for a chicken bowl with sour cream, cheese, beans pinco de Gallo, lettuce, and GUAC, which is extra. I said this at least 3 TIMES! When my food arrives and I open up the bowl, there is no guac. I also asked for beans and there wasn't any in the bowl. The food was cold upon arrival (I live about 10 mins from this location), lettuce was brown and I found some corn in the bowl ( which I didn't ask for) Also, the rice was crunchy and clumped together.
