I doubt that I will be patronizing this location any time soon. The customer service is relatively non-existent. They were not busy at all when we walked in, only one customer sitting down at a table and we were initially the only ones in line. No greeting, just a frown followed by what can I get you. Music was playing so loudly that we could not hear the employee on the line and she could barely hear us it seemed. The employee in the grill area was slicing steak and literally threw a piece back in his mouth like this was nothing new. I couldn't believe that he was comfortable enough to do that in an open area with customers less than 10ft away! My guest and I both ordered a salad with chicken al pastor. Once we got to the toppings near the end, I asked on three separate occasions for a side of guac and a tortilla and never got any verbal acknowledgement, a nod, nothing. The employee finally scooped the guac into a cup and stacked it with my food without saying a word. We decided to visit Chipotle for lunch because my coworker had a gift card. However, it was only after we had ordered our entire meal and got to the register that we were told the gift card system was down. $24 spent unexpectedly for lackluster service. When I spoke with customer service, they basically only said "sorry, it will be better next time." In the past they would have given a reward for a free entree. I have ordered delivery from here multiple times and what I received last night I almost thought was a joke. We commented that our delivery driver was sitting at the restaurant quite a long time before picking it up and that was unusual as it was usually ready. When i pulled it out of the bag I actually commented how heavy it was. I ordered the half chicken, half steak bowl. I noticed immediately there was a ton of sour cream on top but that was fine with me as I like it. When I first put my fork it I noticed that there was a ton of rice. Ok, but then noticed no meat on the first scoop and a hint of the black bean sauce. This was from the middle of the bowl. Thought maybe it shifted and meat on one side or end. One end there were FIVE SMALL pieces of steak. Again thought it shifted. When to other end. There was the chicken but again only 6 SMALL pieces. When I say small I'm not talking about the normal bite size pieces. I'm talking about a 1/4 of the normal bite size piece. Very little black beans, cheese or lettuce. I actually laughed because I thought for sure it'd be somewhere in the middle. Nope, that's all that was in there! Literally a bowl full of rice and sour cream. Was too tired to complain last night but decided to write a review today and seeing the previous reviews left it appears this has been happening. Appears they were out of items and tried to make it stretch out. Completely unacceptable. This was not anywhere near normal from my past experiences. Trying this location was AWFUL If the Qdoba on Fort Jackson had been open we would have left and gone there. There were 3 employees working, one at the cutting station, one at the counter and one doing pick up orders. The guy cutting just looked around and kept to himself. The girl doing pick up orders was on her phone the whole time, yelling and cussing. The girl taking orders acted like she was inconvenienced we came in. Never smiled, just said what do you want, and slung the food into the bowls. The photos show how messy she was making the orders, and this was left from the 2 customers in front of us. She never attempted to clean it, even after we walked out. We watched a few minutes from the car, and she propped up on the counter on her phone. Management seriously need to hire better employees or they're going to lose business. We will definitely not be returning to this location. read more

Chipotle locations throughout the Columbia can usually be hit or miss but this location always serves some high quality food. After a recent visit, I was pleasantly surprised by speed of which I was served along with the attentiveness of the staff. I opted for a bowl like I usually do but switched things up by trying out the new Al Pastor chicken. It was delicious and provided my meal with the perfect amount of flavor and spice. This restaurant is located right in a central hub on Forest Drive which makes for some incredible ambiance. All in all, I really enjoy each visit I have to this location and look forward to future visits. read more

I left the Lower 48 three years ago for Alaska and was excited to be in SC visiting; Chipolte was one of my favorite spots, and I was excited to eat. This particular Chipotle location has to be the worst in the continental US. From the start, it was horrible; there was no greeting, and the staff was not just unpleasant; they were highly unpleasant. The food line/bar was deplorable, the worst mess of food I had ever seen. There were multiple times I considered leaving. There were missing items on the food line, and when asked if they were available, there was a "no" response on whether they would be available. First all but one door was unlocked - safety hazard Second - the place smelled like a rest area bathroom - very strong smell of disinfectant. Third - workers didn't smile, speak up or make much eye contact. Fourth - Food looked dried up. Fifth - We were going to dine in but the tables weren't wiped down and the odor from the disinfectant was overwhelming. Sixth - Food was meh - not worth $14 for a bowl and drink. They got our to go order completely wrong and they've done so many times before. I ordered a burrito bowl with steak, rice, fajita veggies, pico de gallo, cheese, and lettuce. I got steak, rice, and cheese. My sister in law ordered a salad and there was no vinaigrette. When I approached them to kindly ask for a side of it, the gal said they don't have it. I was so irritated that I went to the store - they had completely packed up the food (despite still being open for 20 more min) and when I realized I couldn't get a correct order bc they didn't have any food, I asked for a refund. The rude employee gave me a number for a refund. The number ended up being a telemarketer number. Chipotle - you have serious, serious problems at this location. My husband and I have talked about trying Chipotle, we finally got the chance on Sunday 3/17/24. We went to the on on Forest Drive in Columbia SC. This was the worst restaurant we have ever been to, first we were greeted with we are out of chips and sour cream...we decided to order and try it anyway. After getting our food we could not find a clean table in the place, the place was disgusting and very dirty and the employees didn't seem very clean either. This place gives every Chipotle a BAD name, from the employees, cleanliness, food and customer service, they are all TERRIBLE! This is the third time visiting and the second time I had to leave without food since they were missing half the ingredients for a veggie bowl. I went there today at 12 thinking they would be fully stocked since they just opened at 1045. That I was not the case, they were out of fajitas, tomatoes and corn on the line. When I asked the female working the station about those items, she had a nasty attitude as if I didn't have the right to ask but she returned from the back and said they didn't have any prepared. I looked around for a manager but didn't see one but noticed how employees were doing what they wanted, the store was messy and dirty the whole store seemed to have a lack of supervision. As I left out with no food, I spotted the manger outside next to her car talking on the phone and I addressed my issues with her and she said sorry as if that made things right. We love chipotle! Customizable taco bowls that leave you full and money in your wallet. This is a family favorite. They have a new whole 30 bowl which just shows to me that they care about thier patrons. We went in and got the bowls to try them out. Other than being a little on the salty side, it was lovely. It's meat served over a bed of lettuce with an extra helping of tomatoes and guacamole. The staff was great and quickly sprung into action even though they didn't know the exact recipe. They figured it out and we were good to go. Clean bathrooms, lots of parking and plenty of hot sauce. They keep the green Tabasco sauce made out of green peppers so they are automatically more awesome to me. read more

Not one to vent about poor service, lack of quality food etc. until I feel like it's necessary and I want to share with others that it is not worth your time/Money to visit an establishment. As many of know, you can expect great quality food at all Chipotle restaurants. This restaurant however does not stay on par with the others. Their food is not fresh , they don't maintain the food ( aka prepping food to refill inventory), the work space by the food is not cleaned properly, the staff is just not willing/wanting to serve you and above all else the chips are so hard - it's like biting into cardboard. I will personally not return to this Chipotle until management is changed . I'm sorry for this experience, but would like to share for others to take into consideration. Why does chipotle always fail to put salad dressing in the bag for a salad bowl? I'm trying to put a tip on the purchase, collect myself and a customer behind me pulls my card out of the machine to hand to me. I feel like I'm in the way so I pick up my to go order and leave. When I sit down to eat later, there is no salad dressing. I love the food but the service is sorely lacking. My family has given chipotle a lot of business over the years. Do you require a customer to always ask for salad dressing when ordering a salad? I arrived to pick up my order and told them my name was Adam. They looked at me like I was speaking Chinese. They confusingly went through four bags before handing me the right one. It's disgusting, the workers are the worst and too many times this place has taken my money through ordering online. Many of the items become unavailable yet the order still goes through and I get charged. Your workers can at the least make an attempt to refund me my money but instead they give me an oh well attitude. The rice is always hard, chips are always stale place is always dirty. Tried to give it all the benefit of doubt but guys continue to hire incompetent workers who couldn't care less about customer service. Lastly get your portions right, or don't, doesn't matter cause I won't be returning but people shouldn't have to cross their fingers in hopes of getting a normal amount of meat without having to pay extra asking cause your workers felt like skimping us. This was the worst Chipotle I've ever been too. It was so bad that I wouldn't eat chipotle ever again if this was my only option. I don't know why it was so bad... besides less toppings Choices, the non existent salsa and continent bar, and did I mention NO FRESH CILANTRO OR JALAPEÑOS! The service was great though! The staff was super friendly! But the food wasn't as good, the barbacoa was season-less. And it just didn't taste the same as the many other Chipotles I've been to across the nation. The signature taste was missing! But the staff was great! It's nice and clean. I should have read the other reviews first. There are others that score higher than this one in the area.
