As the prices go higher and higher, the quality of Chipotle gets more and more disappointing. They stopped making their Cilantro Lime rice. What the heck chipotle. Chipotle is delicious but it's going downhill. I always order extra rice, and lettuce because when I open it it's always half full. Today I did an online order and brought it home. When I opened it, it had felt super light so I open the lid and there is about half a scoop of rice. This place is ridiculous! I place an order online & I wait to pick up my food. I walk in & I wait. And there aren't very many people in line. Tonight I walked in. Waited. They were out of steak, out of carne asada, out of grilled veggies, out of pico, out of chips, only a little guacamole that they could only use for online orders. I'm disappointed every time go there. I don't know why I keep going back. All the Chipotle's I've been to in other states are fantastic. Why are the ones in Wichita and Derby terrible? To say the least, I am beyond disappointed. :( I usually get pretty good service when I go to this location, but recently I went for my birthday to have dinner there. The first problem I ran into was the wait for the line. I waited a near 20 minuets in line. Second problem; when I got up to order, I noticed the employee was high as a kite. He was completely zoned out and I do believe that was part of the slow line issue. After waiting 20 minuets in line I start to order and the high employee says that they are out of carnitas. It was about 6:00 on a Tuesday night and they ran out of one of their most popular meat options. I was highly disappointed. This is the absolute worst chipotle in the Wichita metro area. It has actually never been good since they came to Derby. Today stopped in for my birthday because I had a craving for chips and guacamole. The guacamole was so old it had oxidized into brown baby poo. I don't know what the point of filling out the order is if nobody follows it. For example, I asked for extra lettuce and got the least amount of lettuce ever. My bowl was literally 3/4 the size of my husband's. Also we couldn't get extra hot sauce because we didn't put it "on the side" with the order we filled out. They wanted to charge more than $1 for hot sauce that would have otherwise been free. We also bought large chips and hot sauce and the hot sauce they did give us was slightly more than half full. This is the second time we have had push back with the hot sauce. When a customer pays more than $30 an extra container of hot sauce shouldn't be a big deal! AND hire people who can read the orders or don't take them online! I don't know what has happened to customer service. The food is good but these issues distract us enough to drive down the street, out of the way, to the next chipotle. read more

Online order was 50 minutes behind schedule. Many people, 20-30 stuck waiting inside restaurant for an hour or so for online orders to be ready. Not cool with covid concerns. I ordered online so I didn't have to wait in a crowded restaurant. Turns out I should have just ordered in store. Walk-in customers were served immediately. Seriously no wait for walk in during the entire hour I stood in store waiting for order I placed through app. Same with the other 20 plus customers all waiting... and waiting. Front counter often stood around waiting for next walk in. Zero help with filling the couple dozen online orders that everyone was waiting for. Not one apology from staff to any customers for the huge delay. Cashier was wearing food service gloves, handling money, held a customers phone to look at their online order verification because order was filled wrong. Same Gloves...proceeded to grab and bag food orders. Same gloves entire hour I was there. Money to food over and over. I can understand some delays, but nearly an hour delay for many many customers was ridiculous. App should have just told me later time to arrive. Ignoring that there was a room full of waiting customers to immediately fill every walk in customer was also wrong! Customers were trying to be patient. Staff could have at least been nice to customers. This was the worst customer service I've seen in a very long while. Definitely not up to normal Chipotle standards. It didn't look like they were short staffed, just looked totally inefficient and slow. I won't be back to this location anytime soon. Please retrain your staff on proper changing of food handling gloves. read more

the bigger size manager doing DML in the back this morning was a complete B. she made our bowls extremely soupy w just sour cream & beans but barley rice when i asked for my regular bowl. I placed on online order and the portions were all over the place. One meal was only half the size another, and I ordered a side of chips and salsa, but the salsa they gave me was only 1/3 the way full. I asked for some more, and they said that it would cost another $1.15. This despite the fact that I could have just marked side of salsa on one of the 3 bowls and two kids meals I ordered and it would have been free. With all the other chipotles in Wichita, I will be taking my business elsewhere. They are dead to me. read more

I go to chipotle often due to liking their guacamole and quesadillas I go to the Westside and the one in Derby due to my location of work every single time I go in and I try to do a repeat order that I've done before many times I've been told that they cannot do it even though they've done it multiple times before and this has happened on multiple occasions and every time I go in something even when I'm trying to order something else they have ignored me and went on to the next person just to keep the line moving. I am a repeat customer because of the great food and outstanding customer service. We had a terrible experience at Panda Express just minutes before we came here. We were greeted upon entering. There was one customer in front of us and they worked hard on closing his overstuffed burrito. They apologized several times for the delay but I was happy to see he was getting great customer service. I ordered a tofu bowl that is perfectly seasoned and tastes just like meat but less calories. My husband ordered a chicken bowl that was filled with fresh foods. I asked for additional cilantro and limes and they had no problems cutting them up quickly. Excellent customer service! read more
