First time trying chipotle. Rice was cooked just to plain for me. The meat and vegetables was good fully cooked nice seasonings.

Nice chipotle, usually has pretty good service. A couple cute guys working there too. Today, however, I went to get a bowl and this light-skinned girl mumbled under her breath to take my order, barely made eye contact, and was throwing my food around like slop. She couldn't even fill the bowl all the way, she left a lot of empty space. She was a bad server, and she should honestly just get a job on the garbage truck since she wants to be throwing stuff around like trash so much.

I come to this Chipotle all the time and the service here is "ok". They kind of act weird when you order a kids meal. But tonight I came in to get a burrito and I had the best service tonight. I felt terrible for coming in 30 min before they closed but I was craving chipotle. When I came in I asked a girl named Ellia (I probably didn't get that right) but I asked if it was to late to order food. She replied with "Of course not, I would love to help you." JUST WOW. She was so kind, she was joking with us and then I got to the end of the line. Then I ran into George and he was sooo nice, he was joking around with us too and my twin and I felt so welcomed. They do not get tipped or any bonuses for being nice. They just have great values and attitude. I was pissed when someone came in 30 min before I closed when I worked in fast food or working for a dealership. They do deserve a raise because they could work anywhere with that attitude.

Average at best! Over priced..... Taco Bell would be a better choice. Crowded. Rude staff. Not worth the over inflated prices.

Ok but can't compare to the west coast chains. Bland to me no flavor. Service is excellence

Nice food but some time we have to face answer "unavailable". Being an vegetarian chipotle is really good option.

They were decently fast, I do know sometimes it does get busy so it just depends when all the college students are there.

My first time I went, my group of guys and I were put in a room with all the other white people. Not to say they were profiling, but looking at the rest of the restaurant's population on a busy Sunday, they had us in the gringo room. The food hit. I get putting a bunch of three-taco-plate-and-queso people in one room. I have not been back in quite a while, but I remember their menu being the most behemoth-looking thing ever. Every item had a picture taken on a Coolpix camera, and the text was almost impossible to read on the menu's busy background. That is proof that the food was going to hit. After returning, the menu has been minimized to be more readable, only slightly keeping that same over-the-top flair. The prices have gone up slightly, but where have they not? On a Thursday night, we were seated immediately around 7:30 and had a pretty attentive waitress. Like every good Tex-Mex joint in Texas, their chips and salsa roam freely through the restaurant, and the salsa has a good kick that is easy to manage while still having the heat everyone wants. They also have a creamy green sauce and other sauces they bring out by request. I ordered a combination plate with a crispy beef taco, a beef burrito, and a chicken enchilada with a side of Mexican rice. I added a side of refried beans because no Tex-Mex meal is complete without a big serving of refried beans to mix with the rice and crush with tortilla chips. The crispy taco was unreal. The shell feels like it was double-fried. It has such an incredible hardness to it. It feels premium. The beef burrito and enchilada were great as well, but I was blown away by the taco to an extreme. They have a pretty broad selection of Mexican beers, including Tecate, Bohemia, Dos Equis Amber, Modelo Negra, and Victoria next to your Coronas, Sol, and Dos Equis. Their margaritas are pretty great, if my memory serves me right, as well. I love this place, and I was glad to give it a revisit while being back in Lubbock for a bit. It is just classic and timeless. I just wish their menu was as much of an eyesore as it used to be because that sucker brought me so much joy. RIYL: Gaining five pounds in an hour. A good meal.

We started with the house chips and salsa trio, which is always a win here. The chips were warm and crisp, and the variety of salsas--from bright and fresh to deeper and more roasted--made it easy to keep reaching for "just one more." A solid way to kick things off. For my main, I went the veggie route, and honestly, this was the standout of the meal. The sizzling vegetable fajitas arrived steaming hot and loaded with broccoli, cauliflower, mushrooms, peppers, tomatoes, and squash--perfectly cooked, well-seasoned, and served on a cast-iron skillet that kept everything hot down to the last bite. Colorful, hearty, and surprisingly satisfying, even without meat. The rest of the table went more traditional with enchiladas, rice, beans, guacamole, and queso, and everything looked generous and comforting in that familiar, crave-worthy Tex-Mex way. Portions are filling, flavors are approachable, and it's easy to find something for everyone at the table. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a lively bar area and cozy booths that make it a great spot for a casual dinner, family outing, or low-key night out. Service was friendly and efficient, and everything came out exactly as expected. Abuelo's may be a familiar name, but when you're in the mood for reliable Tex-Mex, solid vegetarian options, and a relaxed, welcoming vibe, it absolutely hits the mark.

Good food, great margaritas and appetizers, hit or miss service. The ambiance is fine. This is one…read moreof my favorite Tex-Mex restaurants in town.
