This location is consistently disappointing. Employees are clearly not engaged and could careless if they get your order right. Ingredients have half the taste of other chipotle locations. Worst customer service experience ever.... ordered a large order ($600 worth) from the south hills location for a company meeting. Items missing: they forgot the steak & the queso. We went back and got the steak but when we asked for the queso we were told it was in with everything else....it clearly was not. When we explained that we checked everything and still no queso. We were told by the manager that it was in there and to leave. We asked for the "manager's" name, she wouldn't give it us, gave us a phone number to call instead then demanded we leave. $600 order! Left without the queso and disappointed clients. read more

There are different options for Mexican fast food-Taco Bell, Qdoba, Moe's-but Chipotle is my favorite. I usually order a bowl. I think it's easier to eat than the burritos because the burritos are so huge. I like all of the choices you have. My favorite protein is the carnitas. I like how you get to pick what you want and they put it together. In my opinion they have the best guacamole. I've tried almost everything on the menu and have liked it all. Burritos, bowls, tacos, salad, and quesadillas if you ask. Their chips have salt and lime juice on them. No matter what you choose you will enjoy it. read more

I am a frequent visitor of Chipotle restaurants and you (usually) cannot go wrong with a quick meal from here. Focusing on the branch location itself, the employees never seem to enjoy their job or are they happy to serve you. This past time I had an employee who gave me an attitude when I asked for a half scoop of brown rice and black beans, then proceeded to pile both toppings on. Another employee also made comments on his the guacamole "finally looks edible". Neither situation sat well with me. Employees can either make or break an experience and in this case they were the reason for my low rating. I will be going to another location next time. read more

Can you go wrong with Chipotle? No. Every one that I've ever been to has very similar taste of food, quality, and drink options. I've been to this one a few times and I find the same thing every time. While I'm looking for a quick lunch/dinner, the staff often cone across as being rushed. They may be under staffed, or maybe they are just trying to rush people through the line, I'm not sure. Also the seating area inside could be a bit bigger. We've been there on occasions where we had to change our minds and go home and eat because seating was so squished. Lastly, like most Chipotle, you have to wait minute or two to order, but it's usually 15 people deep to the order line. Again, understaffed? I'm not sure. read more

Chipotle is Chipotle. I have come here several time around 630 ish for take out dinner. The line was never as congested as other ones, and the staff have always been friendly and quick with building my chicken bowl. I stopped getting steak because at two different Chipotles, I had a mouthful of fatty steak- not just "a piece", but a mouthful of fat. So I stick to chicken and that makes it a better meal for me. I opt out of chips and guac, but I love that I can be in and out before Im dead. Alot of people complain that they feel rushed through the line. If you are rushed, is it because you dont know what salsa you want or how much cheese you prefer? I love the South Hills Chipotle specifically because they make my bowl and I am out the door in minutes! read more

I have lived in Phoenix, where there is a Chipotle on every corner. The restaurants in Phoenix and Pittsburgh must be owned by different companies. If a Phoenician had to wait as long as you do at this location, there would be riot, this is fast food Chipotle, not let me seat you, take your order. If your corporate people are smart and monitoring these reviews, there would be an overhaul at this site. Slow, non-energetic employees, why would you only have 1 person taking orders. Visit this store and care about your customers, because you are not showing any customer service. Forgetting about all of the scares surrounding chipotle at the moment, I will focus on this branch. My husband and I were frequent customers here, my husband going several times a week. I stopped coming when it would take an hour standing in a line. Also, the steak was extremely fatty and not well cooked. There was never any regularity in the portion sizes. Sometimes you'd get massive portions that would last for two meals, and sometimes you'd get half a portion. Chipotle lost my business before orders came with E.coli and norovirus. read more

As a chipotle employee, I noticed multiple things wrong. First of all, chipotle employees are supposed to be infectiously enthusiastic; i recieved an extremely unenthusiastic service. Second of all, when I went to recieve my order, they had forgotten both my quesodilla and my chips, the latter of which I had to return to the store to recieve. I also noticed an incorrect portion of meat on my quesodilla. Extremely dissapointed to see a store of a chain that I love be this dissastifactory. read more

I love Chipotle but this location is horribly slow! My mom and I went in for dinner at 7 bc we figured the initial dinner rush would be down but we still waited 25 min just to get up to order. Cinco de Mayo at dinner time and the place was understaffed. Which, is understandable if it's a one-time thing that they don't have enough people working. The problem is the portions seem small here. (At least 3 visits so far.) The quality has been ok, though I'd tend to agree with another opinion on here about the rice not being up to usual standards (compared to all the other Chipotle's). I am a big Chipotle fan, but overall, this location near South Hills Village isn't on par with the others. read more

We order takeout here pretty regularly. I love the staff - namely the tall gentleman at the checkout counter who never ceases to get a laugh out of me. My only complaint with the staff is they make errors too frequently. Most of the mistakes have been small and not a big deal, but we've had major errors where they forgot, for instance, three bags of chips, an order of tacos, and a salsa. I can live with all that because the environment and staff are cool enough to outweigh their penchant for mistake making. My bigger problem is with the Chipotle brand in general. Copy Qdoba and introduce tortilla soup, QUESO DIP, and just more options in general. We get so bored with all of the usual options and end up taking "Chipotle breaks". Wow. Ive never been to a chipotle this slow. 4 customers in front of me and I wait 30 min. Its like this every time. Unfortunately im going yo start driving further to go to a different location. I tried to wait it out to see if they would beef up staffing or get better acclimated, but no. And totally skimpy on portions. Awful all around and I LOVE chipotle. Also they dont have the same happy disposition of every other chipotle staff ive encountered. All around bad. read more

Friday night I placed an order online for 2 orders - chicken bowl and chicken salad. Pick up time was scheduled for 7:15pm and I arrived in time. I walked straight to the register and a man asked if I had ordered online and asked for my name. After walking away for a minute, he returned and informed me his online ordering system was not working. He apologized and took my order from scratch. After 5-10 mins, the meal was ready and he apologized again. He told me the meal was in him tonight and he had me email my confirmation to the chipotle home office so they had my information. It was a little frustrating to have to wait, but he took ownership of the problem and paid for our meal. The food is good, but the line can be painfully long at times. read more
