I went to chipotle today for a burrito bowl and a lot of the food was missing and the portions were insanely small half a scoop of chicken, i thought she'd go back for more but didn't. Both workers in the front and register had attitude and didn't greet kindly. I asked for sour cream and was told there wasn't any so i asked if there was anymore and she said no i'd have to make it and i asked how long it'd take and she said she would do it in ten minutes and rolled her eyes i don't think it takes ten minutes to make sour cream and no need to roll your eyes... left with a dry bowl and barely any food!!! extremely disappointed read more

today on april 7 2026 i went in for a quick eat since i love chipotle it was around 1:30ish pm and was served by this yound lady who had a lot of attitude mind you i worked in the food service and i tend to be rlly respectful so i usually get sour cream for my order and i saw none so i did something normal and asked is there anymore in the baxk because genuinely if you know you need stuff for the whole day shouldnt it be done during prep but no she said i need ti get to it and i said how long and she gave me attitude like if she didnt want to make it and said she would get to it in 10 min this sucks because who is to say that people who come in gets there days ruin for bad service like this read more

Very solid chipotle franchise. I have been to 1 star and 2 star chipotles and this is not one of them.

Chipotle is pretty convenient for when you're a busy bee and need to grab a quick meal on Thayer. Sometimes I feel like the workers want to give me my food faster than I want to receive it. I always order the same thing (chicken burrito bowl with queso), but there are days where it's a hit or miss. I've had to experiment with the different salsas three times for me to finally figure out which one I like best. I think they're called mild, medium, and hot? But I call them -the one with tomatoes (I'm not a big fan of tomatoes and one time I made the mistake of choosing this one smh) -the green one (this one is my winner! has flavor but it's not too spicy for me) -the red one (i can't enjoy my bowl with this included. my tongue only focuses on the fact that it's burning) If I'm having a day where I'm really indecisive about what kind of food I want to eat, Chipotle is a pretty default decision, so you can expect me here when people ask me "What do you wanna eat?" and I say "I don't know.... how does Chipotle sound?" read more

I came into the chipotle with high hopes but left with nothing but sorrow. they were completely out of chicken and steak so my friend had to get a bowl with just cheese, lettuce and guac and they still charged her $15 for it. she says the rice taste sour. we got drinks and they did not have any ice or lids that fit the regular cups. No food. FIVE Bins had NO FOOD! I ended up with dry beef brisket, a few black beans and rice.

I ordered with postmates or ubereats. After I selected all my choices for my salad, when I went to pay, there was an error message about the price of somethings (by a few cents) that would not let me pay. I went back and forth on the app a few times, clicked somewhere, and it seemed to take care of it. It let me pay. But what I did not realized is that most of my choices were deleted: My salad came with no guacamole and no fresh tomato salsa, (some liquid salsa instead) and everything was mushed together. In addition, instead of the Blackberry Izze on my receipt, I got a Black tea drink . Unfortunately, I cannot drink Black tea. Delivery was pretty speedy. But at $25.25 for 1 salad and 1 drink, I expected much better. I guess I would not recommend to order from this place. read more

This is the best chipotle in the area! The staff is super friendly and attentive. Both the eating area and the food prep area are always kept clean. The food is fresh and the workers give good portions for your money. I tend to go at odd and varying hours and I always find these things to be true. I would definitely recommend this location to everyone in Providence. read more

this chipotle is the worst one in Rhode Island I ordered the build your own which is $5.55 I got cheese and double of the shredded beef they charged me $11.07 They never told me that's it would be $4.90 for an extra side of barbacoa meat. I go to chipotle on a regular basis i will never be going to the one on Thayer street in providence ever again. I am not only baffled but sad to see that they charged me an extra 4.90$ when other chipotle restaurant just brush it off and they don't charge me for the extra side. and on top of all of that the workers are rude. Average Chipotle spot here. Gets the job done with plenty of ingredients whenever you feel the Chipotle crave come on. It's conveniently located in the Brown Univ neighborhood and could get crowded if the crave hits hungry college kids. Overall, great spot to dine or get take out. read more

the staff seem ok but they are not taking care of the tables or restaurant. the food prep area is full of leftovers from prior prep of food and it has been there a while from the looks of it. the tables had food all over them and the silverware area was disgusting. the floor was nasty and covered in food. nobody is cleaning regularly. it is sad to see this restaurant run this way without board of health getting involved. the stars and ratings should be something management takes seriously because it matters to us who look for places to eat .. do better get cleaner read more

I'm not big into corporate places to eat, I simply go here because the food is pretty tasty. I always go for the steak bowl with guac. I do think it's absurd they charge $2 for the guac, which is why I come here maybe twice a month or less. The staff is constantly changing. But there is one person who has rung me out three or four times, and every time there has always seemed to be an issue. Their attitude really sours my experience. After the most recent encounter with them, I've decided I don't really want to come anymore unless I know for sure they're not working. This was the most disappointing chipotle I've ever had a meal from. As a former employee I was taught to uphold a certain level of quality. Around 10pm tonight I placed an order for delivery from chipotle. Upon the very late retrieval of my food (The delivery driver got lost in the hotel and sat in her car apparently hoping I'd go find her) I opened the bag to find a note on the lid. Man, what would my life be without Chipotle? Having one on college hill is my saving grace after long Scili study sessions. The food here is always consistently good, and the service is commendably efficient, even under the duress of long dinner-hour lines. I always order my usual: a salad bowl with meat, cheese, pico, corn salsa, and guac. It's healthy, yummy, and filling despite being on the pricier side. The quality of Chipotle's meat does differ across locations, but I have yet to be disappointed here. There barbacoa has been without fail delicious. The employees are generally young, probably high-school or college aged. They're not excessively friendly - their goal is to move fast - but they tend to do their job well. There is some indoor seating, but you have to be lucky to get it. There are also a couple of seats outside. This generally isn't a great place to sit and chat with a large group of friends, but it's fine for a group of 2-3. It's also quite nice to sit at their window bar seating and people watch. In a nutshell, this Chipotle is a safe bet for a tasty, quick, healthy meal. read more

I love Chipotle. I hate Thayers street. I try to avoid at all costs. There was always a problem finding parking and now it's metered. So one less star for having to pay to park just to pick up food. The food here is always good and made fresh. Staff is friendly and make great burritos. They never skimp on the fillings. The burrito bowls are equally yummy minus the extra carbs. Kids meals are ridiculously inexpensive and come with rice, beans, chips or fruit and drink (ex: cheese quesadilla meal 3.75, add chicken for .50). I rarely eat in but there is some seating if you choose to sit. read more

So Chipotle I love the theme of Chipotle. Locally sourced veggies and the good kind of meats. But let me preface this by saying that I'm not a burrito person. I hate beans. What I like about Chipotle is that I can get a burrito with their lime rice, steak, onions and peppers and their medium salsa and it's one badass burrito. On the other hand, I dislike that this is my only option. They have about 10 ingredients to work with. And a side of chips. So the food is good, this location has lots of seating, the service is super fast and they'll even come around and ask how your food is. All good. I had the rudest server ever. Not only did she wrap my burrito extremely poorly and left gaps in the tin foil but she had terrible customer service and gave me attitude the entire time!! Then I asked very clearly for a FOUNTAIN cup and went to get my fountain drink, Not only did I get sparkling water instead of sprite but when I returned to the front of the store she told me that I was not allowed to put soda in that cup. I asked why and she said you got a water cup. I explain to her that I did not get a water cup and I specifically asked for a soda cup and she gave me attitude. This is the worst Chipotle I have ever been to. It is always slow, always disorganized, and always disappoints me. The food is somehow cold no matter how fast I eat it; the heated section looks crusty and days old. The online ordering not only takes upwards of 30 mins past pickup time to get but I always end up taking home something I didn't actually order. This Chipotle: the worst designed restaurant I have ever seen outside of a major city. I truly fault Chipotle for agreeing to move into this building. Now I understand that Thayer St. is prime real estate. However this building is terrible with the lack of seating and the way the assembly line is designed is idiotic. Things I like: - clean tables - fast turnover - fresh, delicious food - low prices - ability to people-watch on Thayer street Thinks I dislike: - inconsistent portion sizes depending on who's making the burrito/taco - paying $2 for guacamole, especially given variability of the amount of guac you get depending on who's your server - insane crowd at noon and at 6pm Tip: Get the chocolate milk! Also, I can never finish a whole portion of Chipotle, so I normally get 2 single tacos ($2.30 each), which is exactly the right amount. read more

I love this Chipotle! Everyone is super friendly and fast, which is a plus in the evenings when it gets busy. It's very clean compared to other locations I've been to. I love that they open up the windows and let the sunshine in so you can watch the world go by on Thayer on warmer days. Knocking off a couple of stars because although it's fast, it's not the best Mexican food I've ever had, and additionally, the last time I got a chicken burrito here, the chicken definitely could have been cooked a little longer. Chipotle is basically everything I would want from a burrito place. Burritos are reasonably priced, reasonably healthy (I mean, for a burrito), and at least somewhat ethically sourced (no hormones in the meat, some local veggies, that kind of thing). They're also fast, and have almost overly-friendly people working behind the counter. The things that keep Chipotle from 5 stars for me are mostly minor. Most importantly, while they heat the tortilla, meat, and beans, the other ingredients are cold, which leads to an unnatural mixture of temperatures as you're eating and the cheese is not melted! I often get a burrito to go, and take it home and put it in my toaster-oven for 10 minutes before eating it. Also, the tortillas are not very sturdy so they often rip or fall apart; this is not a huge deal if you don't mind getting a bit messy, but worth mentioning anyway. In summary, Chipotle is an ethically responsible and overall worthwhile burrito joint, but cold ingredients hold them back from the 5 star burrito. read more

The food at the Thayer Chipotle is as good as it is at all of the other Chipotles, but there's something that's kind of 'off' about this location. There's not enough seating inside, and it's impossible to wait in the burrito line without getting in another customer's personal space.
