Whenever I'm in the Rhode Island area or a Frisky Fries Food Truck pops up, you bet your bottom dollar I'm placing an order! My Go To order is the Disco Dottie! It's a mountain of freshly and perfectly fried French fries smothered in gravy and graciously topped with Vermont Cheese Curds. Some bites are a mix of melty cheese with sauce covered fries. Other bites are salty, golden, crunchy fries. Either way, it's really bomb poutine! Love the casualness of these finger foods in a takeout container. It's the perfect snack to share (or not!), on the go, or during a music show. Service is friendly and somewhat fast, but the fries are worth the wait. There's a variety of options and I need to try others, but I like what I like!

The Miss potato head really hit the spot. What a genius creation.. baked potato toppings on the best form of a potato. Portion was sizable, enough for two. Cannot comment on service or ambiance as this was a door dash order. Highly recommend if you are craving some carbs

This was such a cute night time spot (an even better after-drinking spot c; )! My sister and I were only a little bit hungry and stumbled upon here thinking the portions wouldn't be too big. However, one order was more than enough for the both of us lol. The fries were crispy and hot and we loved how much variety of flavors there were.

Alley at, ketchup, ranch and mayo sauce

I went here on Friday night for a quick bite before a cocktail event. I got the alleycat and the fries were nice and crispy and the Mayo sauce was really good. Choosing a flavor and sauces on the side is a fun concept. My biggest critique is the fries could've used more toppings (there wasn't much cheese) and they come in a container that isn't the easiest to eat out of. This would be a great spot for a greasy late night bite though and they are open late on weekends.

Walking by the area and discovered this place. If you're looking for a comfort fries with loaded toppings that will fill you this is your place. Open late night this spot definitely has comfort food to fill your stomach. The portions are extremely large and the toppings are juicy with crispy fresh fries. The staff was very friendly and the place was extremely clean including the bathroom.

Really unique take on french fries. I was in search of a full meal before walking in, and so I was a bit worried that all they would have are snackable fries. Great news - it's a full meal. They add full-meal dishes into a chinese-food carton full of fries. Very tasty and a ton of different options. Only drawbacks: wish they would intersperse the meal part more evenly (instead of just on top). Also, $3 for a can of diet coke is outrageous.

I love fries I'm general but there's nothing like frisky fries on a late night after drinks lol I ordered the disco dotty & it was delicious. Anything poutine related is worth getting. The service was good too. Friendly staff. The area is not bad and there's some seating in the back and side seating near the front. Might be some odd characters before 2am though lol. The ambiance is decent and clean.

    Foul Play Friskie Fries

The foul play fries were delicious. Essentially chicken parm fries. The chicken was so crispy and there was a good amount of sauce and cheese! Small little place right in downtown Providence and very walkable: will be back

    Loaded, dressed fries!

Low cal? NO! Tasty? YES! We've stopped in this little spot many times and always leave with hot, tasty, decadent, "dressed" fries. They offer both savory and sweet dressed fries, from the Philly Cheesesteak we enjoyed today, to Sin-Fully Sweet Cinnamon and Whipped Cream Waffle Fries. Our order was ready in about 10 minutes, and the fries are stacked with dressing, meaning they don't just put the dressing on the top, they layer it so it is satisfying from the top to the bottom! I'd typically provide a 5-star review for Friskie Fries, but today the beef was excessively salty. We look forward to a return and may try the Fowl Play on our next visit.

after eating sweets for breakfast, my friends and i needed a salty afternoon snack while walking in downtown prov. the fries flavors are so creative and fun. took us a min to decide on what to get since it was a snack for us, not a meal. we also decided to share two containers and i'm glad we decided on that because portions are generous. the total for our two containers was about $20 which is higher for fries but understandable given its downtown and the portions are generous. we got cajun and we got the parm/garlic/evoo option. they put shreds of parm and straight up minced garlic in there, i scooped up the heartburn on the bottom of the container for a lasting taste in my mouth and no regrets. servers were helpful and conversational. we sat inside even tho we said we were gonna walk around because we saw how hard it was gonna be to eat slowly. it smelled so good. i would love to see a shoestring fry option for potato size because i like the crisp of thinner fries. i also would love to see a little container by the register where you can submit flavor ideas for fun. and lastly i think each fry order should auto come with one sauce on the side and the extra is added fee. glad we got to try this on a cold prov winter day.

An excellent place for a casual lunch. The menu was slightly confusing for me as a first-timer. I just saw the sign and decided to stop in without understanding exactly what to expect. After a few minutes of figuring out what all of the options were, I was very happy with the food that was served.

Fun for kids and adults, close to the theatre so a perfect place for a pre-show dinner. The staff was super nice and the selection was great

At night, the lights change color to the beat of the music on the truck! Now let's talk about the best part: the food! Rogue on the Road will be offering a similiar menu to the restauraunt. It is a smaller rotating menu, including modified versions of their main staples and truck specials. I was able to catch them at Buttonwoods Brewery at one of their first pop ups. Pictured below is the Short Rib Burger: Aquidneck Farm grass fed beef, stout braised short rib, pepper jack cheese, caramelized onion jam, honey mustard aioli, arugula, fried onion strings, buttered brioche bun with a side of potato salad. Crazy part is…read morethat not only is it on wheels as a food truck, it's a MUCH bigger than the usual food truck you're accustomed to. Having been around this long and operating at crazy hours that obviously cater to late night crawlers and drunken fools, you must have built some solid grit to be a dedicated feeding hole around a university/college town. The staff greeted me fondly as I walked through the door. If you've never seen this on TV or online before, you wouldn't have imagined a diner within a truck designed that way. You wouldn't have been able to tell the difference from them vs a small restaurant in a city. TV, lights, posters and everything anything restaurant that you expect was there...except for the chairs this particular night. I'm guessing they removed it to better handle crowds coming through...after all, too many people dining there, lining up, and trying to order food is a classic fire hazard 101 within such a small space. I am glad to have a chance to visit this time around. I've been wanting to try it for the longest time since seeing it on Man vs Food. However, I don't know why but I just wasn't craving a burger in the moment. Maybe if I did order the burger, this would have ended up as a 5-star review based on how most people rave about it. But for now, I'll glad to still say that I'm a true fan. The Haven Dog with celery salt was simple and a quick fixer-upper for anyone slightly hungry in the moment. The steak and cheese sandwich, however, is a loaded mother-f-fer with a LOT of sliced beef atop a TINY bun with some shrooms and peppers. All I could think about as I unwrapped it was someone trying a skinny jeans three sizes down, lol. Check them out!

I recently had my first experience with Polo Loco (I know, I'm a little late to the game). They were at the Jaws Movies on the Block screening last night, and I couldn't resist trying a couple tacos even though I'd TECHNICALLY already eaten dinner ;-) I tried the PBJ (pork, black beans, jalapenos, cheese, sweet chili sauce) and the Napalm (chicken, jalapenos, Napalm sauce, cheese, Southwest sour cream). Both tacos are a play on a well-known combo, and both are successful for an Americanized taco experience. First off, you have a choice of soft or hard tacos. I went with soft, and got these babies served on smallish flour tortillas. An authentic taco is served typically on corn, but flour is also quite tasty in this case. The PBJ is pulled pork sandwich meets taco. It has a slight sweetness from the sauce and the pork, with a bit of spice from the jalapenos. It's quite tasty, but also a bit drippy, so be careful :) The Napalm reminds me of Buffalo chicken. It's chicken and a spicy "Napalm" sauce which is pretty much a version of Buffalo sauce. The cheese and Southwest sour cream combine to remind me of blue cheese dressing without the actual blue cheese. That creaminess along with the Napalm sauce is definitely reminiscent of Buffalo chicken, and yields a very tasty taco. I see lots of love here for the Grande Tacos, and perhaps next time I'll try one of those. I also know the Green Monstah tacos are popular, and maybe when I'm hungrier I'll grab one of those too. I'd happily visit Poco Loco on future occasions. Although their tacos are not traditional Mexican in style, they are very tasty and satisfying. They're also very cheap at $2 a pop! Two thumbs up for sure!

Shuckin Truck was an absolute hit! They set up the outdoor raw bar...clams (littlenecks), oysters, and shrimp on ice, in a very attractive manner. The table was manned by a charming "shucker". There were an assortment of passed hors d'oeuvres which included lobster grilled cheese lobster triangles...these were indescribably delicious. Everyone was oohing and aahing over these. I also loved the smoked salmon on toast and the small cups of really tasty clam chowder. All the appetizers were incredibly delicious although I would say the lobster grilled cheese was the biggest hit. All of the staff were polite and friendly. After the appetizer round, the lobster rolls came out and they were simply spectacular. They were true New England lobster rolls on toasted square edged (this is key) frankfurter buns, and absolutely stuffed with chunks of delicious lobster meat that had been lightly dressed with mayo. Those rolls were out of this world, deliciously prepared and very generously filled with sweet lobster meat. They also served fabulous fish tacos. For the non-seafood eaters of which there were none at this party, they served a pulled pork taco which was spicy and delicious. The portions were generous and the food just kept on coming out. While there was plenty of additional food at this party from other vendors as well as some homemade additions, Shuckin' Truck was my favorite part of the overall feast. Great job! I would not hesitate to hire them for a party or to seek out the food truck wherever it was parked!
