Avocado Bacon Burger with lettuce and tomato

I came back to Shake Shack on Thayer Street recently. When you enter, there are 3 self-order kiosks in front of you. A staff member is also present at the counter and you can order with them if you prefer. I used the self-order kiosk and it was easy to use. I ordered a single Black Truffle Burger ($10.49), fries ($4.49), and a large Berry Cherry Pomegranate Lemonade ($5.49). My husband ordered the single Avocado Bacon Burger ($9.99) and added lettuce and tomato for no extra charge. We grabbed the table number next to the kiosk and our order was brought out to us. There are plenty of tables in the seating area. The Black Truffle Burger was so juicy, mouthwatering, and amazing. I'm a huge fan. When I was finished, I wanted more and next time, I'll probably order a double. The fries were as crispy and good as always. The Berry Cherry Pomegranate Lemonade was a little too sweet for me, but it had good flavor.

Not the best, not the worst. Shake shack is pretty standard across the board, but given that this one is on Thayer St, parking can be rather challenging. The first time I came here, the fries were overly salty, so I had to request no salt the 2nd time around. Good enough for a 2nd time, but mostly for a quick eat and being in the area. Employees are kind and respectful. Typical Shake Shack ambiance and clean. There are usually some nice deals on their app, e.g., free chicken sandwich on all Sundays through Dec 2024 with $10+ purchase, BOGO milkshakes, etc. So, it's worth it to download their free app and use their deals!

As fast food goes, Shake Shack is pretty good, and I was 2.5 miles into a walk on an 85 degree day, and a little hot and thirsty. I was near Thayer Street and opted to walk into Shake Shack. I ordered cheeseburger and fries. Service was prompt, the burger and fries arrived quickly, within a few minutes. So I assume my burger wasn't cooked to order. On this visit my burger was a little dry and tepid. The fries were hot, crispy and tasy, Overall, not great, not bad, three stars.

Recommendation: Order at the kiosk. Saves time. One star off because they never texted us when our order was ready. Food was delicious. I ordered the Shack Stack, which had a crispy-fried portobello mushroom on top fo the regular patty, spicy ranch crinkle-cut fries, and mango passionade. Classic, greasy, and delicious. The drink was okay; nothing to rave about. I also tried the Chicken Bites, which were okay. The restaurant is spacious, but I can see why many customers order to go based on location. Although Shake Shack is a bit pricey, the quality speaks for itself and it is really filling.

Great Shake Shack location! We ordered two single ShackBurgers, fries, and 6-count Chicken Bites. When the order was ready, a server brought a tray with our food over to our table! I didn't know that Shake Shack did this-- a pleasant surprise. Service was very nice. Food hit as always. The potato buns are soft and slightly crispy on the edge, tasty patty, and crispy fries. Not the cheapest fast food but really satisfying to eat. The only reason why I took a star off was because of the bathrooms. The bathrooms have a padlock on them, so I asked a staff what the passcode was. They wouldn't tell us the code, so they told me to wait for one of the staff to come over and unlock it. This was inconvenient and definitely not good for someone that really needs to use the restroom. So, definitely come here with an empty bladder. Otherwise, food was great.

Delicious burger and fast service. Love you the lemonade options they have. Plenty of sitting area with wooden tables and sports tv. The cleanliness of the bathrooms were disgusting

This is the second Shake Shack I have been to, the first in NYC. Parking is on the street which may be hard to find on Thayer street. We lucked out and go a spot right in front. When you enter, order and wait for your order on the right. To the left is a good size dining area with booths and tables. The rest room is approached from the dining room side, in between the order counter and dining room. This means you cannot see when your order is up from your table, so you need to stand and wait for it. A self serve counter in the dining area has things like napkins and condiments, and there is a place to get yourself tap water here as well. I tried the portobello mushroom burger which is a vegetarian burger substitute. The mushroom and other ingredients, like the cheese, are encased in a breaded shell which must be deep fried to cook. It has a crunch to it, and the melted cheese oozes. The chicken sandwich was beyond tiny. About the size of two and a half nuggets at most. Not much of a sandwich. The chocolate shake was super thick and fudgy. We really enjoyed that. The bathroom door has a cypher lock on it. You need to ask staff to unlock the door for you and have a receipt ready to show proof you are a customer. The floor in the hallway leading to the bathroom, and in the bathroom itself was a sticky mess. It looked like a half hearted attempt was made to mop it up but basically just spread the mess around. Tables are self bussed and we had to wipe ours down w/some napkins when we seated ourselves. Trash is over by the bathrooms where you can leave your tray.

Solid fast casual place in a great location right on Thayer. Insanely easy ordering system through their app or website. Only downside is I wish it gave you the option to write a note or say something like "no pickles." I probably won't be eating in the physical restaurant any time soon but I am always down for a burger & fries with a custard to enjoy after.

About 5 years ago we were in nyc and there was a shake Shack at our hotel, we loved it so much we ate there 3 times in 3 days Searching for burger places in providence, and too my surprise shake shack came up . Immediately after hearing that the family quickly agreed. We were happy to find they were as good as we remembered. The fries and shakes were awesome too. Place was clean and COVID precautions were well taken Only issue is parking, it's a busy street so you can't be shy, but service is quick

The fries were incredible: perfectly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and loaded with toppings without getting soggy. I ordered mine with blue cheese, chicken, and buffalo sauce, and it was honestly one of the best loaded fries dishes I've ever had. The staff was very friendly, and the customers--both locals and visitors--were welcoming as well. The only downside is that the restaurant is very narrow and small. If you're with a group larger than 2-3 people, you likely won't find seating and may have to get your order to go. I was grabbing mine to go anyway, so it wasn't a big issue, but it would've been nice to have the option to sit. Regardless, it was absolutely worth the walk and worth stepping inside. It's the perfect snack to share (or not!), on the go, or during a music show. Service is friendly and somewhat fast, but the fries are worth the wait. There's a variety of options and I need to try others, but I like what I like!

Having been around this long and operating at crazy hours that obviously cater to late night crawlers and drunken fools, you must have built some solid grit to be a dedicated feeding hole around a university/college town. The staff greeted me fondly as I walked through the door. If you've never seen this on TV or online before, you wouldn't have imagined a diner within a truck designed that way. You wouldn't have been able to tell the difference from them vs a small restaurant in a city. TV, lights, posters and everything anything restaurant that you expect was there...except for the chairs this particular night. I'm guessing they removed it to better handle crowds coming through...after all, too many people dining there, lining up, and trying to order food is a classic fire hazard 101 within such a small space. I am glad to have a chance to visit this time around. I've been wanting to try it for the longest time since seeing it on Man vs Food. However, I don't know why but I just wasn't craving a burger in the moment. Maybe if I did order the burger, this would have ended up as a 5-star review based on how most people rave about it. But for now, I'll glad to still say that I'm a true fan. The Haven Dog with celery salt was simple and a quick fixer-upper for anyone slightly hungry in the moment. The steak and cheese sandwich, however, is a loaded mother-f-fer with a LOT of sliced beef atop a TINY bun with some shrooms and peppers.
