Awesome Bloody Marys and great bartenders. Always make a point to stop when in town.

We visited a lot of restaurants and bars during our time in the Eau Claire area, and this ended up being the most lackluster stop. The setting is really cool, a building with an industrial feel and lots of seating. We sat right at the bar. It took us a while to get served, and then for our whiskey flight to come out. They use large communion cups, which I thought was amusing. The whiskeys weren't really to our taste, though. It didn't take us long to have those, but even though we were right at the bar, we were ignored for a long stretch. I quietly wondered if the drinks had somehow made us invisible. We were finally able to pay and leave. Maybe we caught them on an off night, but the place didn't make an overall good impression on us. read more

We really liked the drinks here. My husband is a huge fan of whiskey and decided to order a sampler. I ordered a drink that was sort of like a pina colada but wasn't quite. We were both really happy with our selection. We actually went back later in the evening and there were lots of people. There is quite a bit of seating inside but we thought why not go up on the outside deck for the view? It was a nice view but not very much seating. The service was good and the bar tenders really knew how to make a drink. read more

The problem with this stop at CRD & BB is that I can't decide which side to try...this time I was trying different flavored vodkas! Had to buy a bottle of the Apple Pie Vodka! Don't knock it until you try it! Had to try the Jalepeno Habanero cocktail with lemonade! I drank one of their own brewed CRD Root Beers after that! My wife and I were very impressed with this brewery-distillery, and can't think of a single thing to criticize. It's just perfect. The spirits are all of above-average quality. I like a rye with some heat that doesn't overwhelm you with ethanol, and what they serve here fits the bill. The vodkas and gins were also tasty and fun. I especially appreciated the specialty vodkas, such as horseradish and garlic infusions. My wife felt the schnapps were all well-made. We had so much fun sampling we didn't even get to try any of the beers. (Next visit!) The tasting room is very well laid out and I was impressed. The bar is large and semi-circular, guaranteeing that everyone gets served and that it's easy to socialize. There are also tables in the main room and even seats outside by a fire pit. Games in the corner for the younger kids are also a nice touch. The cocktail program is also nice here, providing fine examples of Wisconsin favorites. I plan to return to try them all. read more

Cool, cool atmosphere. The roof is awesome. Totally worth checking out. We only drank beer, no liquids, the beers were more heavy. I missed a summer beer, a sour or more wheats, but I know my palette leans lighter than most. This place has a ton of potential; I think there is music and a food truck in some occasions, but I wish it was every weekend. My biggest complaint and the reason for the lost star was the bartender. She was just rude. It was not busy at all, she had time to be polite and even chit chat, but instead she was abrupt and annoyed. Too bad, that's such a turn off. We were extra nice and chatty to her, but she stayed in her funk. I'd go back for the atmosphere and cross my fingers for better service. read more

Best "bar" in Chippewa Falls! We have been coming here from its opening. They brew their own craft beers and craft spirits on site. My favorite is the Rumble Bridge Cream Ale. Their vodkas are amazing and they have a cinnamon whiskey that will make you forget your name. Best Bloody Mary's in the Chippewa Valley (get them with their dill vodka, kapow!..giddy up!) The atmosphere inside is a Transformers meets Steampunk kind of look. Nothing like it in the area. They have a fantastic roof top open air lounge area overlooking the Chippewa River. Great place to kick back on a Summer weekend. Highly recommend. Stop in, have a few, and take some bottles home. You will be glad you did. read more

Stopped in to take a look and purchase a few bottles. One lone bartender who looked less than enthused to help us. Bar stools were jam packed. Not a single open stool. Not a single mask in the place. Entire rest of the place was empty. Plenty of room to spread out, but it was quite apparent that wasn't going to happen. Think I'll pass. Plenty of other local distillers out there to support. read more

Went here yesterday 7/25/20. So very disappointed. We have loved coming here over the past few months-great drinks, nice bartenders, tables spaced apart so you felt comfortable. Yesterday was a different story. Rude young dude bartending, absolutely zero effort at even requesting people social distance or wear masks, and it kept filling up with packs of people. They seem to be following the Florida play book and I expect that all bars will again shut down. Irresponsible. And, quite contradictory since they're pushing their branded hand sanitizer. We'll wait for evidence of a more conscientious and community-minded effort before we come back. read more

Visited this place for the first time yesterday. I love that every specially drink they have is made with their homemade liquor. I got the garlic vodka Bloody Mary - was amazing. Then I tried a raspberry cocktail. It was good but the size was pretty small for the price. You also have to give them your ID if you want to drink a Moscow Mule (copper cup). This place is delightful! I had the best Bloody Mary of my life here - with the garlic infused vodka. It was so good I needed another. I also really enjoyed the beer that I forgot the name of, but it was mixed with grapefruit juice which made it amazing and I don't even drink beer. The design of the place is really nice and unique. I'd call it "industrial Northwoods". I love the long tables in the style of a German beer hall and that there is a "garage door" type thing they open to make it open to outside. I kind of wish they'd expand and offer a few more food options but what they do have, snack mixes and sausages and things like that, did look good. They had a lot of cheeses. I hear there is a roof top patio upstairs, I will check that out next time and also would like to do a brewery tour sometime! This is a great addition to Chippewa! read more

We decided to go for drinks this afternoon, but this was a disappointing experience. It was VERY busy when we walked in-- the bar was full as were many tables. There were only two bartenders on staff-- they were working hard but not able to keep up. I waited at least 15-20 minutes for drinks. We ordered the cranberry ginger mule and the purple rain. When I ordered the bartender told me she needed my ID for the mule mug-- which was fine. Then she told me they were out of mule mugs. She didn't seem to know what to do, so I asked her to make the mule in another glass. The drinks were lackluster at best. The mule was way too sweet and very one note. My purple rain was okay, but a friend also ordered the same drink and they looked completely different!! It was extremely loud in the building and we couldn't hear each other. Unfortunately there was nothing redeeming about my trip to the distillery today (the one other time I've been here was a very similar experience) and I don't think it's a place I'd go back to. read more

Absolutely loving this place this Brewery is right on the Chipola River brand new built by two Engineers that just like to drink beer make beer and Share the Fun. They brew their own beer vodka and whiskey. The building is absolutely beautiful inside with Richwoods and clean atmosphere. Absolutely recommend this to anyone stopping in Chippewa. read more

This newer establishment makes a great addition, has great atmosphere and even better mixed drinks. Ok so we swung in here for a group gathering and were told we can't be served due to a "boss" saying someone spit on the sidewalk prior to coming in the bar. The bartender was extremely nice about it however number one I don't know who in our group would have spit or how that would constitute not being served a beverage. Stopped here a couple days last week after work for drinks with friends! I absolutely recommend it if you are looking for a neat spot to drown your work day sorrows I had their "Chippewa Mule" (their version of Moscow mule) it was done well and very refreshing! Be ready to give up your ID for the mug though, they are the real deal! I also had their Bloody Mary with their cucumber infused vodka. One word, YES! Also include their amber beer to that one word answer! I didn't try all the beer yet, but If the amber is any indication then they will be amazing as well! They are also super awesome for having local food trucks for your stress eating needs! Last week they had Bubbles BBQ.. Seriously..the bomb! I can't wait to try the fire truck pizza this week! -- overall an awesome atmosphere. This was a really cool place. A brewery/distillery, I girl working the bar about an hour ago left a lot to be desired. But the girl working the floor came to the bar and helped us. We were going to walk out until she came and served us. We wish that we could have just tipped her. We bought 2 bottles based on the girl who should not have been behind the bar. I would have given this place a 5 but I couldn't invite the First Lady behind the bar. read more
