The problem with this stop at CRD & BB is that I can't decide which side to try...this time I was trying different flavored vodkas! Had to buy a bottle of the Apple Pie Vodka! Don't knock it until you try it! Had to try the Jalepeno Habanero cocktail with lemonade! I drank one of their own brewed CRD Root Beers after that! Great experience at the bar, trying the different flavors.

My wife and I were very impressed with this brewery-distillery, and can't think of a single thing to criticize. It's just perfect. The spirits are all of above-average quality. I like a rye with some heat that doesn't overwhelm you with ethanol, and what they serve here fits the bill. The vodkas and gins were also tasty and fun. I especially appreciated the specialty vodkas, such as horseradish and garlic infusions. My wife felt the schnapps were all well-made. We had so much fun sampling we didn't even get to try any of the beers. (Next visit!) The tasting room is very well laid out and I was impressed. The bar is large and semi-circular, guaranteeing that everyone gets served and that it's easy to socialize. There are also tables in the main room and even seats outside by a fire pit. Games in the corner for the younger kids are also a nice touch. The cocktail program is also nice here, providing fine examples of Wisconsin favorites. I plan to return to try them all.

Phenomenal place- I knew before we got there it would be good with their vast flavored spirits. Bartender was super friendly and helpful even though she was extremely busy. Love this place.

Best "bar" in Chippewa Falls! We have been coming here from its opening. They brew their own craft beers and craft spirits on site. My favorite is the Rumble Bridge Cream Ale. Their vodkas are amazing and they have a cinnamon whiskey that will make you forget your name. Best Bloody Mary's in the Chippewa Valley (get them with their dill vodka, kapow!..giddy up!) The atmosphere inside is a Transformers meets Steampunk kind of look. Nothing like it in the area. They have a fantastic roof top open air lounge area overlooking the Chippewa River. Great place to kick back on a Summer weekend. Highly recommend. Stop in, have a few, and take some bottles home. You will be glad you did.

This was the absolute best stop!!! Nice, hip, chic, great beers....what more can i say??? Bartender was fantastic. This is definitely worth the out of the way stop. Don't miss it.

Visited this place for the first time yesterday. I love that every specially drink they have is made with their homemade liquor. I got the garlic vodka Bloody Mary - was amazing. Then I tried a raspberry cocktail. It was good but the size was pretty small for the price. You also have to give them your ID if you want to drink a Moscow Mule (copper cup). Keep that in mind.

Local brewery with a distillery as well! They are had a good variety of craft beers. Pretty solid stuff, wish I could have had more. We had cream ale and a pre prohibition pilsner! Cool place with good service. Parking across the street.

Bloody Mary. The chaser was the beer mixed with grapefruit juice option

This place is delightful! I had the best Bloody Mary of my life here - with the garlic infused vodka. It was so good I needed another. I also really enjoyed the beer that I forgot the name of, but it was mixed with grapefruit juice which made it amazing and I don't even drink beer. The design of the place is really nice and unique. I'd call it "industrial Northwoods". I love the long tables in the style of a German beer hall and that there is a "garage door" type thing they open to make it open to outside. I kind of wish they'd expand and offer a few more food options but what they do have, snack mixes and sausages and things like that, did look good. They had a lot of cheeses. I hear there is a roof top patio upstairs, I will check that out next time and also would like to do a brewery tour sometime! This is a great addition to Chippewa!

We decided to go for drinks this afternoon, but this was a disappointing experience. It was VERY busy when we walked in-- the bar was full as were many tables. There were only two bartenders on staff-- they were working hard but not able to keep up. I waited at least 15-20 minutes for drinks. We ordered the cranberry ginger mule and the purple rain. When I ordered the bartender told me she needed my ID for the mule mug-- which was fine. Then she told me they were out of mule mugs. She didn't seem to know what to do, so I asked her to make the mule in another glass. The drinks were lackluster at best. The mule was way too sweet and very one note. My purple rain was okay, but a friend also ordered the same drink and they looked completely different!! It was extremely loud in the building and we couldn't hear each other. Unfortunately there was nothing redeeming about my trip to the distillery today (the one other time I've been here was a very similar experience) and I don't think it's a place I'd go back to.

Absolutely loving this place this Brewery is right on the Chipola River brand new built by two Engineers that just like to drink beer make beer and Share the Fun. They brew their own beer vodka and whiskey. The building is absolutely beautiful inside with Richwoods and clean atmosphere. Absolutely recommend this to anyone stopping in Chippewa.

For me, vacations are anything but lazy…read more When it was time to return to Eau Claire for some shenanigans with Matt and Tim, I knew this go around would need to have some brewery action despite Tim and Matt not being big drinkers. I love visiting breweries and trying out local offerings. Lazy Monk was on my list of places to visit based on just the name alone, but their current beer list was looking pretty good, too. Tim and I (Matt was coming up the next day) dropped in around early dinner time and it was fairly quiet in the brewery. There were a few people chatting with the bartender when we went up to order some drinks. First and foremost, I grabbed a sticker and magnet before I would inevitably forget. I grabbed a flight of beers since a lot of them sounded really good. Unfortunately, the one beer I was really hyped to try was out until the next day. That was the kolsch. I ended up getting the Bohemian Pilsner Lager, Raspberry Lemon Shandy, Kristall Weiss, Mad Monk IPA, and Bohemian Dark Lager. The Mad Monk was really good. It was my favorite. The Kristall and Bohemian Pilsner Lager were really good, too. The Raspberry Lemon was good but not really my cup of beer. I got it to sample since I was taking home a 4-pack for Emily. As for the Dark Lager... not a fan at all. Not that it was gross but it just isn't for me. The bartender was super cool and took the time to explain all the beers I ordered, made great small talk and really made us feel welcome. Lazy Monk really leans into the German/Bohemian aspect. The exterior of the building has some strong German vibes and once you walk inside, it really feels like you walked into a bar in the middle of a small German town. I believe there is also an outdoor seating area but we only saw it while we were out walking around. If you find yourself in Eau Claire and want a really chill place to grab some beer, Lazy Monk is the place to go.

They have some outdoor games you can do, there are indoor games as well. It's dog friendly. Four packs of cans to go. They will fill a growler for you, but it's not very economical, better just to buy the cans. They have all their own beer on tap now and root beer on tap plus a few cans of soda and bottled water. No food here but you can bring in anything you like and eat it inside. Nice meals, occasionally have some special events and live music, you have to check their social media for those updates. They have a Mug club for regulars. Always great service from personable bartenders. They really know the regulars. Occasionally you'll catch the owner slinging beer too. No TV or jukebox so you can actually have a conversation. The acoustics can make it a little echoey at times however, especially if there's a lot of people inside.
