My Wife & I went with her suggestions & both had the featured Garlic Parm Melt, which was delicious. A great version of a Patty Melt. My Wife also had the Smashberry Mojito, which she enjoyed. We stopped at Loopy's for lunch on our way home from our girls weekend, sat out back at the tiki bar and it was the perfect last stop! Our server Tara was absolutely the best--super friendly, fun to chat with, and made the experience that much better. The food hit the spot too--classic bar food done well. Loopy's is the bomb. When in the Northern Woods of Wisconsin, check them out. They have an awesome atmosphere. We totally enjoyed ourselves between the volleyball, bags, tiki hut, and countless other forms of entertainment. Loopy's really fits the bill. We drank there on a Friday, the drink specials were awesome. We went back on Saturday and canoed down the Chippewa River. Go to the bar, reserve a canoe, show up, they drive you to the send off point and you go. Canoeing takes about an hour. I imagine kayaking would be the same; floating would be double time if not more. You dock at their back bar/sand lot, and really, the whole experience is cool. We didn't eat much there, the cheese curds were disappointing, but heard the food is great. Regardless, the atmosphere and rentals are the bomb. WORTH GETTING OFF THE MAIN ROAD FOR !! If you go near Chippewa Falls, or "CHIP" as the locals call it you need to make 2 stops : Leinenkugel's Brewery and Loopy's Saloon. Free beer samples at the Leinie Lodge and great food, especially cheese curds ( we are in Wisconsin), and super ambiance, of a sporting nature at Loopy's. I have only been here as a pit stop , but maybe next year I can come and spend a day floating. Everytime I've been here the other customers have been very pleasant to me. Loopy's was awesome, I wish we could have been there on a Friday or Saturday night. The space outside is great, it's really big and they have a bunch of games like bean bags, 3-4 sand volley ball courts, fire pit, outside bar, horse shoes, bolo golf, I mean they had a ton of stuff. It looks like this is a hub for floaters to leave their vehicle and get driven to a drop off area to start the river. We were there for lunch and chose to sit on the rail looking over the river. I got a burger, unfortunately it wasn't very good. I don't think the other meal we got was good either, I don't even remember what it was...Only being there once I really don't know what their specialty is, but I would come here for the atmosphere and drinks instead of food. First of all the service was extremely slow, which I could have overlooked. I ordered the ham and cheese sandwich. One thin slice of overcooked ham and a slice of cheese. My "sandwich" was mostly bun. I could have done way better at Arby's or Hardees. Really disappointed as service and food has gone way downhill from past experience there. I can't say enough about loopys- what a fantastic establishment and great staff. Ashley was our server/bartender/driver/shotgirl/photographer/etc. ... and we couldn't have been more impressed with her attentiveness and hospitality. we stayed in Chippewa for two nights and found ourselves back at loopys for dinner and drinks to close the bar both nights- due to how great the service was, how delicious the food was (fish Friday and cheese curds anyone?!) and the fact we had a DD! even though it was pouring rain the entire weekend and we didnt get to enjoy the river or outdoor recreation they had- we still enjoyed every minute of our time there! cheap drinks and delicious food. recommended our friends & will be back! thanks -the Chicago clan. read more

I'm giving it a 2 star because I'm hoping that COVID is the reason it should be a less than 1 star review. I've been to Loopy's every July for the past 9 years. This year - the service, drinks, and food were subpar to the point of being not worth it. We have a large group of about 15 family members, including a few very young kids. The tubes they have don't have netting in the bottom, so we brought our own. (Note* they "do" have "netted" tubes, but these are really old tubes with no backing, that they've jerryrigged straps to with a "net" that doesn't quite cover the whole bottom and easily shifts.) We asked if we could blow up our rafts and the bar/ payment for floats said no worries- even wrote us on our receipt. We go to grab the rafts for the adults & asked about blowing up the kids rafts and the kid working was super rude, telling us no and that there was "no way" the bartender would have told us that, being really snippy and rude to us and then giving us attitude for his coworker giving us permission. Then for the food... OOF. 45 minute wait for an Italian sandwich, 35 minutes for a cheese curd appetizer?! A bartender who ignored our group trying to order multiple times. Typically our sandwiches fill the plate, this year - a $12 sandwich that is maybe 4" (less than half of what it's been historically). And lack of food quality not only visually apparent with the size, but tasting like a frozen or plastic ridden food source. I sat at the bar for 20 minutes before someone came and asked me for my order. When I ordered a drink, I was refused a food order. I had an uncle who had been here for hours, and his SANDWICH - nothing complicated - had been ordered 45 minutes ago and still hadn't been delivered. We come annually, spend time and money, compensate our servers well. We drove by this spot on Sunday - our way into town - and this place was packed! We ended up stopping for lunch on our way back on Monday. I had a toasted Italian sandwich, my husband enjoyed a burger, and we had a blast. Katey was our bar keep / server and treated us super well. We totally should not have let the crowds stop us from checking it out sooner, because, had we known that they offered a shuttle, we would have asked them to pick us up on Sunday to watch all of the activities (without fighting for a parking spot). There are sand volleyball counts, river tube rentals and SO MANY Leinie taps! BONUS: If you take the Leinenkugel tour, you're get a brochure with coupons for the local spots. Loopy's will give you a $1 off a Leinie tap, so consider a hearty lunch after taking a walk at the brewery! read more

Drinks were some of the best I've ever had. Ashley our bartender hands down served my party of 16 the best round of Old Fashions any of us have ever had. The service was prompt, friendly, and with a smile. Considering our large party came admist a Packers game and there were lots of other patrons this did not affect the level of service we had received which is a lot to ask of most restaurants. However, the Loopys staff delivered. The food came quick, was hot, and delicious. The atmosphere was also phenomenal, between the great music and staff inside, to the bags out back, and the tiki bar it's such an enjoyable place to be. To top it all off our bill was less than I had paid at other local bars for similar food and drinks. If you're a long time Chippewa Falls resident, or someone just stopping for a quick bite to each on a road trip this is the place to be. read more

I ordered the same thing both times and received the wrong order both times adter waiting for my food long after the rest of my group got theirs. If i could give zero stars or negative stars for that matter I would. Were sent out with a storm coming. Protocol was not followed and therefore ended up in a river with lightning striking around us. Then finally got off the river and up to a major highway calling loopys. Was told they would send someone in about 15 min. We were a two minute drive away. Called three times as time went by and went by and went by was told "it will be about 15 minutes" all three times. An hour later finally a vehicle arrives. Was told "since we didnt collect an id the guys made one pass and couldnt find you so they went home". Then had to drive around trying to figure out how to get the tubes. Because those were what was important at that point. Not the lightning storm we had to walk through to get to an overpass and be out of the lightning and rain. An hour and a half later we finally arrive back at loopys. Spoke with a manager which ended with "best I could do is give you some discount tickets for the future" We obviously WILL NOT be coming back. Not in anyways useful to us. My boyfriend and I took a mini-vacation to Chippewa Falls, and after a tour of the Leinekugel's Brewery we headed to Loopy's for dinner. We could not have picked a better place to go! This is definitely a local joint, and with all of the great specials and activities it is easy to see why the locals keep coming back. They have an outdoor patio and many volleyball leagues and it looked like they had a float down the river service. The inside was why we came however, and Loopy's delivered on all of our expectations! The food was great and the staff was incredibly friendly, even to us new-comers. The bf had the heartstopper burger, which feature three layers of cheese and came with perfectly seasoned house-made fries. I decided on the fish dinner and was served a huge plate of fried fish along with a baked potato and coleslaw. This is a great place and we will definitely be back on our next trip through Chippewa Falls! read more

After drinking at the brewery we found Loopys on Yelp for lunch. This is my new favorite place to go. I just wist it was closer. We orders the nachos and cheese curds for apps and the curds were so damn good. The nachos were off the chart too. I had the french dip and this is by far the best dip Ive had ever. This was the best sandy you could think of. The rest of my clan had the burgers and they all loved them too. If you don't try Loopy's you are missing out. To me its worth the 5 hour drive. Highly recommend! The bloody marys are so good! Can chose from local distillery vodka (bacon, garlic, dill, horseradish, jalepeno) had the bacon and my husband had the garlic. Yummy! Bacon was a little rich, but tasty. The food was really good also! Great atmosphere and music playing from when we were in high school(early/mid 2000s). Service was quick and servers friendly. When you are a small business and the road moves away you can do one of three things - move - go out of business - or up your game. Loopys chose #3. I haven't been here in several years, not since they rerouted 29 around Chippewa Falls. Its been remodeled - very nice. The food and beer also appeared to receive an upgrade. Both food and the service were spot on. They had New Glarus Spotted Cow on tap as well as a few hundred flavors of Leine's and some local craft beer. I had a cow, man. My wife and I each had a BBLT. The extra B is for extra bacon. They come in 1/4, 1/2 and 1 pound size. I went with the 1/2. It was solid and tasty. Next time I'm going for the whole pig. Sides were a choice of fries/tots/broccoli/soup/salad(+$1). I tiked their basic fry. I didn't get Loopy, but we had a good time. read more
