I have a 2001 Lexus and this winter while driving on 97 a rock cracked my front windshield. I tried to contact chip and the phone went to voicemail and told me the voice mailbox was full. I sent a message through yelp and got a response the next day that it would be $350. He then said that before proceeding he would have to inspect the vehicle because it was over 20 years old and asked for my address, so I gave it to him. Four days later he tells me he can't do it because it wasn't a running vehicle. Funny enough I was driving the vehicle back from the store when I got the text. It has been 5 days of run around and poor communication and now I am back to square one to find someone to replace my cracked window. Chips mobile Glass Repair was a giant waste of my time. REPLY to his response: I contacted you about a 2001 Lexus. I gave you my phone number! My most charitable guess is that you came to my house when I wasn't home, without contacting me first, and saw a 1982 Toyota Land Cruiser project sitting by my shop and somehow could not tell the difference between the two cars and still wouldn't call or ask any questions. If you answered your phone or called anyone back this could have been sorted out in 2 minutes! This has been a ridiculously frustrating experience and very unprofessional behavior. I felt the mobile service was the most important part- with kids and a family it is hard to arrange to leave a vehicle anywhere, so thankful they came out and got it done! Amazing quality and service, I'll never use another glass service again. If you live and drive in Central Oregon you know you're going to get glass chips. Make no mistake here!!! Stay way away from this self proclaimed glass mechanic! I'm a retired Journeyman glass glazer of auto, commercial and residential glass installation and had Mark out to install a windshield reflected by his deductible discount offering. It was evident watching his lack of expertise that he and his girlfriends qualifications heralded from a .......YouTube...... education and no more!! The windshield was scratched, my moulding broken and chipped, my interior rearview mirror was glued improperly with butel glue (rendering the mounting tab immovable), it leaked when it rained and poured in at the car wash from the top sill down the inside of the glass......With numerous contacts to get him out to look at and repair/replace his fiasco, he reneged his responsibility on all accounts and even blamed me for scratching my own new windshield! CAN YOU BEAT THAT???!!!..... No satisfaction was returned whatsoever from Mark Sanderson! Taking it further to canvas other reputable glass installers in the area I found that all were very surprised that he was installing windshields! "we all thought he was just a chip repair guy and negligible in his experience there too" Nobody (5 shops checked for his references) could point a finger as to any experience for certification as to his local schooling on windshield repair! .......Here's a good recommendation or warning if you will for all who's possibly connecting with this guy for glass work to learn a lesson from my experience stated here.
