After my beautiful '72 Jeep Commando was corn-holed by a Pathfinder on University five years ago, I found that my neck was in constant pain, and headed in to see Dr. Paula Santistevan. They were very careful during the first visit, and took xrays, asked many questions, and then started with a heating pad and acupuncture. For about 30 minutes you got to relax completely (yes with needles in your back, neck, head, feet, etc), in a warm, dark room. After this, and after I wiped the drool from my cheek because I was SOUND ASLEEP, she used some stinky stuff and massaged my neck, to ensure that my muscles were relaxed enough to allow the crackling goodness that is chiropractic adjustment. Paula weighs about 33 lbs, but she is strong, and was able to get everything realigned, and I walked out in a total haze because I was so relaxed I couldn't even think straight. This was just the first of many appointments, and each and every one was just as satisfying if not more so. Mainly I see Dr. Paula, but sometimes she isn't available, and her brother, Dr. Chuck Santistevan has to do the cracking. They are both very knowledgeable in Chinese herbology, and I have left there with a lot of crazy, horrible tasting concoctions for different ailments (cold, flu, thyroid, etc). So, yeah, as chiropractors, acupuncturists, and herbologists, these guys rock, but wait...there's MORE! As I mentioned early on, my relationship with them started because of an auto accident. While waiting for insurance to figure everything out, they didn't make me pay a penny, and they did all the filing. Also, I had to have an MRI done, and when Dr. Paula reviewed it, she noticed that I had something totally unrelated to the accident or my neck injury going on. She hounded me for a year, insisting that I go get it looked at. When I wasn't budging, she gave me phone numbers of doctors to go see and hounded me until I called them. She also told me that I needed to sue, and sent me to a good lawyer who forced the insurance company to pay me and Chiropractique. She and her brother are genuine people, who really care about their patients, and really are what the 5 stars indicate: as good as it gets! read more

I love the fact they can combine chiropractic techniques with acupuncture treatments along with homeopathic medicine for a total holistic treatment. After an auto accident I had while visiting Denver over Christmas, I tried Chiropractique, Etc. Dr. Charles Santistevan worked with me for 2 months, using chiropractic adjustments, acupuncture (he was trained by Chinese master for several years, not a short term "certificate program"). He also used cupping, which was new for me, but did wonders to speed healing, and reduce inflammation and pain. I had some stubborn issues with my shoulder, and neck areas. He used a combination pain treatments in conjunction with the typical physical manipulations. I have been a patient with Dr. Chuck since 1990 ish. and here we are 26 years later. I used to go quite often for back issues. I have refered so many of my friends because I think he is that good. 8 years ago I was having major back issues, I saw him 3x a week for about a month, I ended up having surgery for a bulging disc that had attached to my sciatic nerve. Dr Chuck has been a God send. I have had low back and neck pain that has kept me in my recliner for the most part of 7 years. I live in WI, and on a visit here several years ago, he was recommended by a good friend. Two years ago, I had 7 surgeries on my neck and low back, which gave some relief. I went to Dr. Paula Santisteven about 8 years ago for some hip-related pain. After a couple sessions of cupping, acupuncture and chiropractic adjustments, my hip has been fabulous.
