Visually it looks like it could be a tough texture, but it's softer than you would think. I would say the texture is right in between brioche bread and foccacia. I think the main reason for the pricey chocolate is their location being only a block away from the White House and also because most of the chocolate is imported. I'm sure the tariffs now has increased the price by a lot. The one reason why I did not give this place five stars was that they opened over an hour later than what is posted on the door.
