    Blueberry scones

We came for weekend brunch and were seated on the second floor which had a chic tropical vibe to it. We got the prefix menu which includes a smaller portion of an appetizer followed by an entree (FYI Steak and Eggs is an extra $12). Service was great overall, though it took a while for our server to come check on us for our check. This place has the best Avocado Toast hands down, and this is coming from someone who doesn't care for Avocado Toast. The blueberry scones were warm and moist inside, so delicious. The braised lamb sandwich wasn't too bad, but nothing special. Definitely recommend this spot if you're in DuPont Circle!

We came for a quick drink and bite to eat before dinner. No reservations, but was seated quickly in the covered patio at 7:30 pm. Ordered the bottle of cava ($45 or $13 per glass) which was nice and dry and not at all sour/acidic. We also enjoyed the burrata dish, which came with peas, snapped peas, and green beans and strawberries. I'm used to a summer burrata salad but this was very refreshing and very nice. Loved the ambiance of the covered patio which features cherry blossoms. So cute! Service was really attentive, we loved our waitress Sarah.

In terms of ambiance, sitting downstairs on the main floor is best because of sheer volume of cherry blossom decor on the ceiling. Upstairs is okay; it's quiet and more relaxed. Things I liked - the food and cocktails were tasty; I liked that the ice was stamped as well, and the server was friendly. Things I did not like - the portions were small for the price, there is a mandatory operational charge on your bill, and there was hair / floating particles in our water.

I have dined at this Dupont Circle gem on multiple occasions. I really love the outdoor heated patio. The decor is beautiful, and I love that they alternate the decor throughout the seasons. The menu is not extensive; however, the food is excellent. I always start by ordering a bowl of fries regardless of the other items I plan to order. I also really enjoy the steak tartare. You can't go wrong with the smashed cheeseburger and fries. During my most recent visit I ordered the lamb ragu tagliatelle, it was absolutely delicious!

Came for Sunday brunch with a reservation. The outdoor seating area is much brighter / cuter than indoors and it's covered so would recommend booking there! We got the French toast bites which were good and a nice sweet treat! For mains we got the steak and eggs and the Turkish eggs with bacon. The steak was very chewy / tough so we didn't really care for it (was meant to be cooked medium). The Turkish eggs were better but still not our favorite. The thick cut bacon was mostly fat. Overall very expensive and a bit overhyped!

Came to Residents on a Saturday night with a reservation--no difficulty getting in. My friend and I sat on the second floor in a moody room with trendy young adults. I had the bee martini and my friend had an espresso martini; both very delicious! The food was yummy and filling while the staff were nice. I'll definitely come back!

Visited for my best friend's birthday and we had such a great time. The atmosphere: The heated patio is decorated beautifully for the season. They usually have cherry blossoms in the spring and orange leaf branches in the fall. The space is on the smaller side, so I would recommend making a reservation. There is also a live DJ at night which adds to the vibe. The food: We started with the Beef Tartare and Mini Gyros to share, and both were very fresh and delicious. For mains, we chose a few plates to share around the table. The Lamb Ragu Tagliatelle was hearty with very flavorful, generous pieces of lamb. The Steak Au Poivre was also delightful, although I do wish the portion was a bit larger for the price and that it came with a side of vegetables to go with the mash. The service: Excellent, attentive service from the staff. They made us feel very welcome and helped make the birthday celebration feel special.

Found this place from other people's yelp reviews looking for a place for a work dinner and thank god it did not dissapoint. We had a great time trying and sharing a bunch of plates. The manager highly recommended the cauliflower bites and mini lamb gyros which were definitely also our favorites.

Residents Cafe & Bar is for the girls!! Their covered outdoor patio is absolutely stunning. It seems like they change it seasonally. When we went, it was covered in oranges for a summer aesthetic. Their menu also had a list of summer special cocktails. If you want an aesthetically pleasing spot to meet up with friends, this is the place. Not only does everything looks cute, it tastes great too! They have amazing cocktails and food. I met up with my best friend here. We both ordered the pink coconut cocktail. It was super refreshing and a great late summer drink. We family-styled four dishes. We got the artichoke hearts, calamari, pork belly, and gyros. Everything was super delicious and had me wanting to lick the plate after. We stayed our full two hour reservation and were told we needed to give back the table by 8pm for another party. If we had more time, I know we would've ordered more drinks. We still had a blast! I'd recommend this spot for an incredible girls night.

Espresso martini was very good! It was busy on a Saturday night so we just got standing room in the bar area. It was a little hectic with servers and customers walking back and forth between the bar and standing area, but there was pretty cherry blossom decor. Would go back with a res to get a seat and try the food too

Came here for brunch during the long weekend with 3 friends. We were seated in the inside patio. It's a beautiful portion of the restaurant where you can escape the DC heat but still get some sunshine. The decor is very aesthetic with flowers and fake lemons surrounding the patrons. The food was pretty tasty. I really enjoyed my Merguez and sweet potato hash. It was well seasoned, filling but not too heavy. My mimosa was okay, too much juice for my liking. The service could be better. We had to ask three different people to get syrup. And I only recall the waiter checking on us once. Someone else gave us the check so maybe there was a shift change? Regardless, I'd like to come back to try the dinner menu!

Kinda pricey but everything is really amazing here every time. The bottled cocktails are always very good quality and a good value. We loved one of the current ones, the gin basil. It was truly fantastic. Three of us split a bottle and got about 1 and a half glasses out of it each. I also sprung for a pricey amari pear cocktail and it was $22 but REALLY outstanding. The mushroom truffle risotto was delicious. My friends liked the steak au poiuvre and halibut.

Went here for brunch last week and it was so cute! Lots of couples and ladies' brunch parties happening on the patio. Our server was good but very lowkey and we had to wave her over a couple of times but generally service was very good. Hubby had a regular dip coffee ($5!) and the smashed avocado toast with egg. I had the Turkish eggs...both were amazing...in presentation and taste! The Turkish eggs were very different from any brunch item I've ever had and I took the leftover home and had it for an app later that day. We also got the French toast bites which were super decadent and delicious but honestly, a dessert! We took those home too and I did end up having it for dessert that night. We'll definitely be back!

Does this restaurant take reservations? Their "reservations" link doesn't work and no one picks up their phone at the number listed on their website.

Yes they take reservations. It's through the Resy app.

    Do they have bottomless mimosa's?

    Nope great cocktails though

I'm hoping to bring 3 friends on a Sunday at around 4 pm for Coffee and drinks and snacks. Is it rather quiet at that time ? We're looking for quiet and mellow

They play lounge music - not very quiet. But a very mellow atmosphere.

Is there a spot in the restaurant one can take pictures with friends? I'm also wondering how long the cherry blossom decor is up? Thanks!

It is a little tight in terms of space to take pictures in the covered patio....

    Do they accept walk in?

    yes

Is the parking lot across the street available for anyone to park?

It was available to park in when I was there. Also street parking as well.

How is the noise level in the evening as I am looking to host a meeting with 5-6 guests? I don't mind it if it's lively but would we be able to hear each other to have a conversation without having to put effort to talk loudly?

It's fairly loud in the patio area but conversation is doable if you speak up a little. If it's not more than 6 if should be OK if people do not speak too quietly. It's very popular to usually full every night.

What is the difference between the uncovered patio and patio? More specifically, is the patio area open air? Or is it enclosed? Thanks!

It's not enclosed. The uncovered patio means you're just on the side walk. The patio means you have some roofing over you but everything is open air

    Gluten free options available?

There are many items on the menu that can be made gluten free, so I wouldn't worry. The food is spectacular too. I cannot imagine them not being able to accomodate. All menus are listed online, so I would take a look before visiting.

Is there wifi available/ is it a good place to work from home?

Hi Meg, Thanks for reaching out. Based on the flow of how our business has been so far, I would say from 8-11ish and 2-5ish would be a good time to do some work bc we aren't…
