One of the best feature of Korean BBQ is the spectacle of side dishes. The amount and variety of…read morethese sides are overwhelming. They are free and can be replenished at anytime. The first time I discovered this was when I gave some empty bowls of finished side dishes to the waiter and to my surprise he came back with bowls of newly replenished sides. Some of these dishes include wilted greens seasoned with oil and garlic, seaweed salad, mashed potatoes and then there's the always present Kimchi which is a spicy fermented Chinese cabbage. Then, there's the novelty of cooking your own meat which you can eat with rice or wrapped with various elements on the table in leafy greens, and eaten with ssamjang sauce. Even if you don't feel like BBQ-ing, you can still enjoy an array of Korean dishes like the Seafood Pancake which was delicious, the traditional and a favourite of my husband, Bibimbap, dumplings and great selections of tasty Korean noodles. The two storey place means the's plenty of seating even during busy hours. Great service even when they're busy. The food comes out within minutes of ordering. And the staff ready to change your BBQ plate when needs be and one time I even had a staff helped me cut and BBQ the meat. She probably saw how pathetically I BBQ-ed the meat and decide to show how it's done. Either way, I was happy with the extra service she offered.

So this place is good. Not great, but good. Eastwood now is filled with different restaurants. So…read moreit takes a lot to stand out here, sadly there are better restaurants here. Even Korean, this is not the best in the area. However, it is affordable and a good place to sit with friends. Part of the problem is that the menu is quite limited. But the staff here are overly friendly! And they make you feel right at home. They have mainly beef and some pork. There is only one chicken. The sides are extensive and refilled when asked. They do have some dishes are not part of the BBQ. However they are not as good as the BBQ.

For some reason, Korean food in Sydney doesn't offer much when it comes to sundubu jjigae, a hot…read morestew filled with tofu and other goodies. Why? I don't know...but these restaurants really need to step up their game! Why do you have to go all the way out to Epping to get a legitimate bowl of sundubu? Who knows...but it's a travesty. I'm not even a big sundubu fan but the stuff here is pretty damn good. Came with a group of people and I ordered the pork sundubu with special rice for around $19. Others ordered the kimchee sundubu and bulgogi sundubu. It was pretty good and super filling. I was going to order the kalbi+sundubu combo but unfortunately you can't choose the type of sundubu with that combo, default is mushroom. We also ordered seafood pancake and that was plenty of food for everyone. Only gripe here is it's out of the way and the sundubu can take some time to come, but it's well worth the wait.

Used to be much better, but still worth going to. You definitely go here for the soft tofu stew…read moreover anything else, as the name suggests. I always get the al tang (fish roe) tofu stew with special rice because nothing else beats this. Must get it with the special rice, I feel like my colds always go away after having this warm meal. Recently tried the vegetable tofu stew and you could taste the difference in soup depth and flavour, but nonetheless enjoyable. Comfort food when it's cold or you have a cold, but I feel like the portions have shrunk somewhat. And if you think about it, it's actually not that cheap.
