So it's New Business upon walk in it's clean and everything's New. They use cash only so be prepared for that. I ordered wings and Fries to keep it simple. Fair prices across the board. My food was good actually, they use Real, Good Sized wing dings not those mini wings. They taste home made not the Pre breaded type. I got my Oder in about 10 minutes, although it wasn't busy. Rooting for Them, But the Food Missed the Mark I was genuinely excited to support a new Black-owned business in our community. In the beginning, the place was packed--lines inside and out--so we waited until things slowed down and finally visited after lunch. I completely understand that new businesses need time to work out the kinks, and I came in hopeful. But unfortunately, the "fish rolls" were a big disappointment. I bought five thinking they'd be great to share, but I could barely eat one. I shared with three colleagues and we all agreed--they didn't taste like fish at all. Honestly, they reminded me of hush puppies but with the texture of a sweet roll. If there was fish inside, it was completely lost in the mix. The name is misleading, and I would suggest renaming them to better reflect what you're actually getting. The fries weren't bad, but the box wasn't full. I requested Cajun and lemon pepper on the side, and the receipt said I got Cajun fries--but there was barely any seasoning visible at all. The energy felt a little chaotic. There was a man--possibly the owner--running in and out to hand off orders to people in the drive-thru. You could tell they were doing their best to keep up with the traffic, which is a good sign that the community is showing support. That's why I hesitated to write this review. I really want them to win, and I believe things can improve over time. But in order to keep the support, the food has to match the buzz. I came by after lunch rush today to try their food and support local business. I got a small fry with house seasoning and a crispy chicken salad with ranch. Fries were good and hot. The salad was mediocre at best. Only had one chicken strip cut up and put on top. Mostly a box full of romaine. Chicken was good tho. I had to repeat my order 3 times to the cashier and I asked if dressing was included bc there was a $0.75 charge for dressing. She said it wasn't included. I get my meal and it came with two, so I assume it did come with dressing... they wanted that up charge. For a salad and fries it was like $18. I can go to any coney and get more protein and dressing for less than that. To top it off they didn't include any napkins or silverware. They should at least ask if you need it at the window. Additionally there were two cars ahead of me and it took about 30 minutes to get my food and be gone. I want to support yall and will go back one more time to try your other items, but yall need to get it together!! For a place that advertises fresh, I was expecting more vegetable and meat alternatives. The salads are all the same with different protein. Need to add more salads. read more

I ordered the chicken and waffles, fries, and banana shake. The food was cooked to order so it's not fast. The chicken was hot and tasty. The waffes were soft and warm. I recommend getting the coleslaw on the side. The fries were REALLY good, hot, well seasoned, crunchy outside & soft inside. The banana shake was SUPER thick. I drove about 7 miles. It was worth it. Today was my second visit to this establishment. My first visit was during the grand opening. The service was beyond slow but I took into consideration that it was super busy, what you'd expect at a grand opening. After about a hour I received my food. The burgers were bland and the fries were dry, again I chopped it up to it being very busy. Today however, i waited in the drive through for 10 minutes with just one car ahead of me. The guy in the car repeated his order at least 3 times before the cashier repeated it back correctly. When I reached the speaker to order I encountered the same thing, it was like the cashier had a very hard time hearing anything. I ordered 5 whole wings, onion rings and what I thought was a homemade lemonade slush. What I received was 5 wing dings and a frozen countrytime slush. The chicken lacks flavor, the garlic toast did not look appealing at all, the onion rings were ok. I can't for the life of me understand why anyone would want a doughnut ball with their meal but that's exactly what the yum yum puff is and on both occasions they were undercooked and greasy. My son and I ordered the whatupdoe (no grilled onions) and the chicken sandwich combo. I was not happy to wait that long get all the way home and realize that my sliders still had onions. This was my first time at Choixes. They advertise Fresh, Fast & Flavorful. Wow, not one of those was true! The cod was bland, frozen and OLD!. The chicken was horribly bland and the fries were bland and dry. The yum yum ball of bread, should be called the yuk yuk bread. For it to have taken 20 minutes for us to get our food (there were only 2 orders ahead of ours), I just knew we were about to "throw down". Unfortunately, instead we had to threw it away. I refuse to believe that the owner did a field study to have strangers taste and evaluate his food before deciding to put money into this concept. If I could give 2 pieces of advice to the owner, they would be... 1) if you have something against real seasonings, if nothing else, just sprinkle a little salt and pepper. Better yet, here's a few you can try... Lawry's Seasoning Salt, Slap Yo Mama, Lemon Pepper, garlic powder, onion powder... just to name a few.
