The first time visiting, I enjoyed the peaches and cream chicken and waffles...... the peaches were from the can, which was ok...but could have been cooked a little more to cook the canned feeling off, but the chicken strips were not dry and were flavorful. The catfish was hot...so hot in fact that the very light and crispy batter turned soggy underneath almost instantly because it was served directly from the grease with no cooling time to prevent the steam from degrading the crispy texture. The salmon was deep fried, but tasty and well worth it. One word of caution though...there is a mandatory 18 percent gratuity automatically added to your bill with no warning or postings in the restaurant. I don't know if it applies to carry out...but be warned if you bring a group of more than two or are planning a tasting menu for a couple...be prepared for that little technicality. I love this place I have been coming here for some years and never had any big problems. And if I did they always took very good care of me and made things right. I had the traditional breakfast with scrambled cheese eggs, turkey bacon, potatoes and added pancakes. Everything was good and very flavorful. I also enjoy the chicken and waffles with chicken strips instead of chicken wings (I'm not a fave of the chicken wings because I don't like my meat and bone that looks dark) service is the best she can do because it's usually just her taking care the front of the house. I scrambled me a few eggs when I got home to help fill me up. The shrimp was cajun as I requested, but they tasted very tough, like they were cooked too long . So disappointing and a waste of money. First time coming here after visiting from san diego, ca. This place reminds me of roscoe's chicken in L.A. I ordered their cinnamon crunch french toast, and an order of chicken and fruity pebble waffles. My first impression of the chicken was that it was extremely hot, like a few minutes to eat it after they serve it to you and make sure that if you choose the wings to bring them apart so that the chicken can internally cool down. I nearly burnt the roof of my mouth. But once i dug into those first several bites, i than thought to myself.... this chicken is fuego , its so juicy, and moist and had great taste to it. Next i tried the cinnamon crunch french toast and i thought the cereal provided a great crunch. Its super sweet and you get the french toast is pretty thick so i suggest sharing this dish with another person. Also i highly suggest NOT being heavy handed with the syrup when eating this dish. That made the french too sweet to the point where i couldnt eat it anymore. Next the fruity pebbles waffles i enjoyed a little better than the french toast. I believe they apply a strawberry syrup to waffles which elevates the overall taste. Unlike other places that i have tried which incorporate cereal into their waffles/pancakes/french toast, i enjoyed the fact that they baked the cereal ingrediants into the dish versus placing it on top. I this created an enjoyable dynamic between both components of the dish. All in all, i enjoyed my first time dining experience at this establishment. I would recommend for others to try their meals for yourself if you are big fan of chicken and waffles for breakfast. They came dipped in barbecue sauce, I didn't want it like that, but ate it anyway because i didn't want to be a pain. The tenders were okay nothing too special. The garlic Parmesan fries were not my favorite. The second time, i got the mighty tenders and the fruity pebbles waffles. Again, dipped in barbecue, i thought it was a mistake the first time. It doesn't mention that they come dipped in barbecue sauce, it says seasoned battered and fried. If I could give this establishment a negative star I would. My boyfriend and his friends spoke so highly of this establishment, so today Sunday 21st around 12:35pm we arrive to Might Wing. The service was poor and disgraceful, we sat and patiently waited for our food to arrive. Which never did. As we sat in the dining room it began to fill up, that's excepted. A couple sat right behind us, they came in At least 10-15 minutes after us. This young lady was a family member or a employee of some sort because she walked behind the counter and went into the back to the employee only section. Around 20 minutes later they received their food before us. A gentleman came from the back, not sure if he's the owner or the manager. He came out speak to two tables. He wore an all grey sweat suit. Sat and spoke with a table of church mothers. He left and grabbed the young lady from behind us and went to the back to speak with her. While the time continues to tick away still NO FOOD. Our server was DW young lady in a stripped dress and when she came to the table we were on our way to get ready to leave. She stated " your not leaving are you " we informed her that we've been here a little under a hour. Around 45 minutes or more and still no food. Unacceptable. She apologized and informed us that our order has another 2 minutes in her words. She went to the window and asked the cook in the back short gentleman how long on her order. He proceed to yell about someone else's as been waiting 20 minutes and she stated that we've been waiting for a hour. He continued to yelling "if you don't like how it, come back and help then." This was THE LAST DANG ON STRAW, I wasn't waiting one more dang on minute for this RUDE, Unappreciative and Disrespectful establishment. So we had to leave. An HOUR. seriously it Chicken and Waffles. Yes I WAS here to support a black owned business but I will not support ignorance and rudeness. I wouldn't tolerate this from any other establishment and I'm not going to tolerate it from you.
