We loved this train store, especially the pay-to-play area! They have multiple rooms of train tables to play and build with tracks, cars, a dollhouse, and more! They also have a small coloring space and one of my kids' favorites, a small bounce house! My girls (4 years & almost 2) both played in the various rooms and had a blast! My little one LOVED the bubble machine by the entrance and my big one thought the employees singing karaoke was the best. The employees were such fun and happy people! Also, the fact that Choo Choo Bob's is located in the Union Depot is the icing on top! I highly recommend this as an affordable, go-to activity (especially in winter!) for kids!

Our first time at their new location! It was awesome. Got there right when they opened at 10 and wasn't busy at all. During story time (Mondays & Fridays at 10:30) it fills up quite a bit, but isn't overwhelming. My 5 year old was entertained by the music & stories by engineer Paul and my 2 year old would play and go back & forth. I didn't have to worry about her getting lost which is great when solo parenting. We played from 10-12:20 (they wanted to stay even longer). Staff is super friendly and great. Was surprised that there was even a bouncy house in the back. Bathrooms are nearby and very clean. There's also a coffee/bike shop right next door. Parking was easy in the Union depot parking ramp b ($4) and the kids loved riding the escalators to get upstairs. Definitely will be returning

Such a fun place to explore! Owner was so nice and made it such a fun experience! Small gift shop with tons of toys! My baby is under one so we got in for free, and he loved it! Otherwise it was $10 per kid and $2 per adult! Well worth it, we got there right when it opened so it was empty for about half an hour then more people came in and explored! But there was tons of space to play and have fun!

Love love this awesome train shop and play area for kiddos and it's right inside Union Depot. You do have to pay for your kid to play with the kiddo model trains but it's so worth it. Lots of comfy areas for parents to sit and relax while their kiddo plays. We caught story time with Choo Choo Bob (actually it was Engineer Andy) but our kiddo loved it and it was very entertaining for our little engineer in training. We had visited their temporary spot in Minneapolis 2 years ago and this is the perfect spot for Choo Choo Bobs! Congrats!!!

Cannot recommend Choo Choo Bob's enough. We celebrated my son's birthday there today and we're so impressed. The space was all decorated and they took care of set up, ordering pizza, gift bags, etc. The price was great compared to other venues and came with built in decor and ambiance. The kids had so much fun. We'll be back this winter to come play.

Choo Choo Bob and his crew are absolutely fabulous! I booked their party room for my 3 year olds birthday and I didn't have to do a thing! They had the whole room set up, BEFORE we even got there. This is a train store but they have SOOO many trains and other vehicles for the kids to play with. Plus tables scattered all over. The best part, they have chairs, and lots of them, for the parents. You could literally spend hours here and your kids will be content, if they're into trains of course. The staff are amazing, and nice and such down to earth people. His bday was on a Sunday afternoon and they even had karaoke for customers to participate in. This was probably the best kids birthday I've thrown. They welcome outside food and drinks (wink wink). but this is a kid/family friendly establishment. I think in general it costs a few dollars to play, but totally worth it for the whole family. LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!! If you haven't been, please go!

Our family loves Choo Choo Bob's! Play to pay currently is $10/kid, $2/adult and under 1 is free. It's worth it! This is a great place to meet up with friends and have some fun! Lots of train tables, a hot wheel section, doll houses and a coloring table. Their retail section is also great with good selection and fair prices. Staff is wonderful and they have a 10:30 story time/music time that is very interactive!

(Well, except the clothes. They really have no opinion on clothing yet. But I'm sure they would love them, if they were old enough to understand fashion.) The owner is super nice and has great suggestions on what to buy even if you only have a vague idea of what you're looking for. She's been all over the store showing me things she thought my babies would like, and opened some of the packages so we could try them out. The place is called Teeny Bee for a reason, they have a lot of baby stuff, and some toddler stuff, but not much for kiddos older than that. They do have classes in the basement that I think are usually free- dance classes and music classes. I can't wait til my boys are old enough to go! You should also "like" her page on FB, she announces random sales and gives product reviews. Here's the only slightly negative- it's on the expensive side. But it's boutique stuff that you can't buy at Babies-R-Us or Target. And in my opinion, it's way better than most of the stuff you'll get there anyhow, but I know how it feels to pay mucho money for something your kid will only wear for a month (if you're lucky.) But sometimes you just have to buy stuff like that because it's SO DARN CUTE!

I've been going to this hobby store since the 1980s when I was just a kid, going there with my late father. It was one of those places that helped build a lifelong love for RC cars and the hobby itself. Now, decades later, I genuinely enjoy taking my own children there and sharing that same experience with them. It's something really special to me and my family. That's why this situation has been so hard. I dropped off an RC truck for repair and expected it might take some time. What I didn't expect was how long it actually took -- months and months passed while I waited. Eventually, when I called to check on it, I was told the truck had already been surrendered after 90 days. That news was absolutely heartbreaking. This wasn't just a piece of equipment to me. It was something I had invested a lot into and something tied to years of enjoyment in this hobby. I understand that businesses have policies, and I don't doubt they have rules in place, but learning about it only after the fact made the loss feel even worse. What makes this especially difficult is that I truly love this store. It's been part of my life story from childhood to now as a parent. I honestly can't imagine not going there anymore, and that's what makes this situation so emotionally complicated for me. I'm not posting this to attack anyone. I'm just really torn and hurt by how this played out, and I wish there had been more communication before it reached that point.

I stopped in while in the area to get some ideas for holiday gifts and ended up getting my auntie gift duties done here. It's a very large space spanning three different areas, with the areas categorized by theme/age. You'll find everything from plushies to puzzles and everything in between here. Truly so many options for all ages (even those harder to shop for tween/early teen ages). I found some adorable play kitchen items for my 1yo niece, and some sweet dinosaur and car toys for my 3yo nephew here. I also love that I could browse, try things out, test quality, etc here unlike shopping online. I even found something for myself here! I was introduced to the magic of NeeDoh and had to get one. Now I already want to go back and test out some others to get. Service was very friendly - I asked for some recommendations for my niece's age, and one team member walked me through options. During checkout, another was very kind. Prices were reasonable, and I'd much rather spend my money locally than on Amazon this holiday season. Stepping in here was a Millennial's nostalgia trip in some ways. It's refreshing to see toys- like actual TOYS- available for kids to play with, rather than screens. This place was utterly packed to the gills with stuff, from floor to ceiling. Plush snakes and hoola-hoops hung from the ceiling like streamers and decor. I spent a long time wandering slowly looking at it all, but I truly doubt I saw everything in there; it'd be almost impossible to. Lots of plushies, educational toys, craft sets, slime kits, knick-knacks, stickers, candy, construction toys, trains and planes and emergency vehicles, coloring materials, puzzles, books, etc. I can't possibly name it all. You're just going to have to go see for yourself. Some of the staff were busy unpacking more boxes of stuff and finding places to put it all. Two different team members went out of their way to ask if we needed any assistance and were friendly. The bathroom was clean and has a diaper changing station if you should need. We were fortunate to be there in the middle of a Tuesday, so it was fairly quiet. I can only imagine at other times of day, kids would be tearing around in here loudly and excitedly (I daresay understandably so).
