It is deemed as "Asian" supermarket and does seem to carry a diverse selection but I'd say it is primarily Chinese especially due to the presence of Chinese fast food, roast duck, and pig in the food court area. Said food court area came in clutch for an easy, affordable dinner (pricing determined by weight) after landing at nearby Calgary International Airport. In addition to the usual produce, Asian snacks, seafood and meat sections, they uniquely have a whole aisle dedicated to Asian beauty products which I regarded with high interest. Some of the grab and go items -- namely the baos -- were a little expensive, but overall pricing was so-so. Parking lot was huge making for an easy-going shopping experience.

On…read moreFriday, April 19th, at about 11:00 a.m, I encountered the most horrendous customer service experience I have ever had the displeasure of enduring. The cashier, an older middle-aged blonde woman, verbally attacked myself and my children, in front of a store full of people. As I apologized profusely that my toddler had grabbed a pair of tongs while I was not looking (which I immediately took away before he could touch any food), the cashier loudly proclaimed, "This is why some people shouldn't have children." and repeatedly asked me if I was blind or "just stupid." As soon as I got to my car, I broke down in to tears, while another customer who witnessed the incident followed me out to let me know that what the cashier was saying was not true, or okay (the verbal abuse was so bad that other customers were shaken just witnessing it). I have never been spoken to so rudely by another human being, let alone someone in a customer service position. Upon reading the reviews, I can see that multiple other customers have given 1-star reviews based solely on the behavior of this same cashier, who is racist, speaks down to customers, and is unkind to children. The incident has been reported to Bulk Barn's head office. Hopefully if enough people step up to let management know how unacceptable this is, something will finally be done to prevent this behavior from continuing. Do better, Bulk Barn.

Been here twice now and both times, my shopping experience was subpar at best…read more The staff didn't acknowledge my presence in their establishment, and both times I had been there, the same lady customer and her mother were going down the aisles yelling to each other and the store owner about which grocery items they were grabbing. When I finally got to the till to pay for my stuff, the store keeper kept chatting away with the lady and her mother and took his sweet time ringing my items through. He didn't actually say one word to me. Not impressed, and this time, I won't be back.

I noticed that in the far back corner where the dairy is, they have windows way up high which was an unusual but welcome surprise as the natural light is fantastic. That being said, the store offers everything you want or need in terms of grocery items. It even has a nice seating area by the deli where you can purchase sandwiches and coffee. Most locations don't have that. There are 4 self check outs which are always a fav of mine. This location wasn't too busy during the afternoon I was here so no line up for me! There's a liquor store right beside the grocery store too.

Thankfully this Coop gas station was open and I could watch my car fuel up while sitting inside and take in the sunrise. I don't ever remember being up this early in a long time. The great thing about this location is the cost of their no touch car wash which is under 11 bucks; and this gets you a nice shiny car wash. I was too tired to try this but another time I will most definitely do it; this is a much more reasonable price than places that are charging you 20 bucks to do the same thing. Thank god you were open this early or else I would have watched the sunrise from the side of a road.

She stood extremely close to me, which made me uncomfortable. A simple "excuse me" would have been appreciated so I knew she needed access to the machine for her card tap or override. I understand staff need to assist customers and use the checkout system, but personal space should still be respected. For some people, having someone suddenly stand that close without warning can be very uncomfortable or triggering. I hope staff can be more mindful of this in the future.
