This is a location tucked in Lake Hallie, WI across the road from Wal-Mart. Chopsticks caught my eye. We recently just had Chinese at a place that still left a bad taste in my mouth, and plus I didn't feel like Chinese that much, but there is little to choose from around there, so we decided to go there. Entering the restaurant, there was a younger guy in there who had an airpod in one ear, and was talking to us at the same time. He freaked out about every little Move we made, or if we said anything he would be like "HOLD ON, HOLD ON." He talked really fast, and his mannerisms struck me as a rude person. He wasn't that friendly and he was very rough talking to say the least. To make matters slightly worse, the inside was HOT!!! It felt as hot in that restaurant as it did outside. The ceiling fan inside literally wasn't touching how hot it was and didn't cool anything off. I was sweating so much, and it made it miserable to eat. Speaking of food, I had the General Tso's Chicken with fried rice. My husband and I both shared Crab Rangoon. All of the food was really good! What I couldn't get past was the HOT temperature inside, and of course, the attitude from the young guy was the icing on the cake. Not to mention, he was constantly on his phone, had earphones in and he was talking LOUD in Chinese to someone. It wasn't a positive experience except the food, which was really good. I give this 3 stars for the attitude, loud talking on the phone, and of course the HEAT! We might be back, but probably not during the Summer! I suppose it will be freezing in the winter. My order wasn't correct and the vegetable fried rice is not fried rice, it is vegetable steamed rice. I ordered pepper steak and Mongolian beef extra spicy. What I got with that was pepper steak, Mongolian beef and spicy beef according to the receipt. The Hot and sour soup was delicious. They also need to figure a new pickup system the texting to check on the order is not working. I finally got out and waited in line with everyone else. read more

Requested no fish sauce in food due to allergies and it was doused in fish sauces. The food tasted like bad seafood, not Chinese. The noodles (pad Thai) were slimy and near mush. Not your first pick when it comes to chinese takeout. The service was decent, and barely any english was spoken over the phone or in person. The food was mediocre at best, with the chicken being dry and stringy, as well as the egg drop soup having a funky color and taste to it, we will not be coming back to this establishment. Love Chopsticks! Everything I've gotten here is very good! The atmosphere for eating in isn't great but the food is! The service is always friendly and fast. I've gotten the mixed vegetables with and without tofu and it's loaded with fresh vegetables. They also serve a good curry. I go there every week for take out. read more

It was good. I felt like the fried rice should come with some egg and peas, but nope just rice and oil. The yellow curry I feel should have more sauce, it was all veggies and meat with just a few drops of sauce on the bottom. Overall it was good and a lot of food, just have had better. read more

Food was pretty good. Portions were good. Price was ok. Don't eat at this place. They were rude and unprofessional. If you eat in, realize that they put your food on a Togo, then bring it to table, and your on your own. Need a plate, there's one over there, go get ot yourself, of course it's a paper plate, and plastic fork. No other accommodation is allowed. AND DEFINATELY DON'T EAT IN AFTER 830PM!!!!!!!! They are open until 930pm, but apparently lock the doors at 9pm and stare at you and your wife so hard until you get the hint!!!!!!! We left at 915pm. Clean, good service, fast, great variety, and food that tastes great. Put in a star for each of the above and they deserve five stars. The portions are HUGE and really reasonably priced! There always winds up being plenty of leftovers. You can tell it's made fresh because each time the spices are a little different, their sesame chicken and fried rice are super good. Also love the fried wontons! read more

This review is solely based on my food experience. The ambiance was fine... fast dining experience- set up where one would order at the counter and sit down or do a take out. Perhaps there are other really good items in the menu, but I got the general chicken combo. Bad choice on my part. Good sauce. All breading; no chicken. I would say the entire dish had less than an ounce of chicken... perhaps a single gram and that may be a generous statement. I understand that businesses have to make money, but it really should not be called a "chicken" dish when it is really deep fried batter smothered in sauce. Chopsticks is the best Chinese style takeout in Chippewa Falls and Eau Claire. Huge portions that are reasonably priced. All restaurants of this type have huge menus with a ton of selections. What sets Chopsticks apart from the rest, is their Thai menu and a Chines menu with unique items you don't find at every Chines takeout place. It's a small place with some seating as most people order to go. I would say they seat around 15-18. Very clean and cozy. If you order over $40 ask for free soup instead of the free doughnuts, worth it. read more

My teenagers favorite place now! Great friendly service! Clean and neat atmosphere. We always get huge portions of food. Every time we have gone we have gotten free food. (Free egg rolls etc...). Talk about large portions and great food! The staff couldn't have been nicer. They even gave us food we didn't order or pay for so we could try it. We took our leftovers home and mine lasted through four more meals and my husband ( who is a big man ) had 3 more meals with his leftovers. Worth the money and time to try their food! read more
