This should be a pretty simple review. This was my second time getting food from here in spite of the fact that I hated my first experience here. The first time the people working behind the glass were incredibly unfriendly and even scolded me for getting a kids salad I suppose seemingly for my mother and not my child. This time (months later) I ordered through the app so my husband could just pick it up. My stomach is very sensitive since I'm on a lot of medication for an auto immune disorder. The salads are not gluten free in any manner, everything is cross contaminated but I figured I'd deal with it. When my husband got home I realized my huge bucket of salad had no protein in it that I asked for and he paid for. He also had to wait a ridiculous amount of time for the salad to be made in addition to what the app had said. So I had a salad with only beans and a little bit of cheese in it. He called Chopt and they credited the app $5 for the chicken they didn't put in. So now I had to eat whatever I had and we're tied to eating there again? This place beyond sucks. However since I literally hadn't eaten a single thing all day I did have to get some of the salad down. Fast forward to a few hours later and I realize I've got food poisoning. I was throwing up for the rest of the night and unable to eat and weak for the next three days. Thanks Chopt for being my first bout of food poisoning in years and the WORST salad place I've ever been to. Subways makes a better salad. read more

Interior was clean and nice. There were a lot of people so the process seemed a bit rushed. I liked how the avocados weren't marinated in vinegar or whatever other salad places put theirs in. It actually tasted like avocados! I think during lunch/dinner rushes, they should make the mixing processes more efficient. People behind me were getting their salads first while I had to wait because the guy I was assigned to took forever making the previous persons's. Perhaps putting a big line of prospective salads might make paying and waiting more efficient! Salad was pretty good. I will come back! read more

I was ignored at the salad bar while the person simply looked past me and moved on to the next customer, then the next... This second person noticed me standing there waiting and being ignored, and kindly said something. The server behind the counter would have never taken my order otherwise. For ignoring a waiting customer, having it pointed out by another customer, and not even offering an apology, you get one star. read more

Im a chopt lover, I have been to this location several times even before they made the horrible changes. I put a one star because of the customer service and wait time. I get that they are trying to be cost effective so they chopt everything before hand which I completely understandable. That's fine. What I don't get is the amount of people working on the front line. I have been there many occasions where I'm waiting over 15 minutes when I'm next in line. The line of customers went from two people to 10 people and there were 2-3 people working the line. I shouldn't count the third person cause she was just in the way doing online orders. I see so much staff in the back there's staff just standing there "sweeping." The ones in the front get easily annoyed and then have an attitude when it's time for you to order. Customer service is everything. I go to the Manhattan location now, they have long lines but it goes sooo fast. Dobbs ferry have long lines your there 30minutes to an hour just waiting to order. The workers lack enthusiasm. I literally HATE going to this location. I hope this helps. When your staff sees a line call people from the back to help the front line. I love the coworkers here and never had a problem till now , The general manager named Emily is very disrespectful and very rude. She came into my conversation and told me to watch my mouth when I was speaking to my friends . I'm a customer not one of her workers that she can just boss around. Chopt in Dobbs Ferry is the most frustrating and disappointing, sad excuse for a salad joint. I go to Chopt during the week in Manhattan in Midtown, and the experience is very different. In Dobbs Ferry, the staff does not have a clue what they are doing. Here are some highlights from today's experience: Only one salad preparer taking orders while other staff are just walking around. Salad preparer is also the cashier which slows down the process to a mind crushing crawl. Salad station is a filthy mess. All of the vegetables look disgusting (not fresh at all) Salad preparer over stuffs the bowl so that toppings are falling out when it gets passed to the next station. Chopper chops so wildly that half of my salad goes flying into the next station. None of the salad dressings are full, so I have gage the amount by the last few squirts out of the bottle. Bread goes in the salad because they don't bag my salad. Total time in store 18 minutes. Only 4 people in front of me! Like I said, Chopt in Manhattan is a different experience. I have no problem getting on a line in Manhattan with 100 people on it. I'm usually in and out in 10 minutes no matter how long the line is. Chopt head quarters needs to take a good look at what a mess Dobbs Ferry is. read more

From the moment I entered, as the cool AC hit my sunburn face, I knew I could get a salad that would be premium in taste and low in calories. Like most of the elite, I enter every single thing I put into my body on an app on my phone. We're talking drop of olive oil, sip of vodka, grain of salt, and even grain of sand! I had 585 cals in my budget today, and I was ready to go. I chose a salad with only 260 cals! I added avocado, however- logging each buttery fiber as I went. Other than that, I ate the salad as is with no weird substitutions in my car in the parking lot. (The real way to go!) I couldn't join the measly folk in the front. They were sure sucking down the free cucumber water! The staff in this place made my entire day, much better than the customers. I felt like I had spent the whole time I was laying in the sun with them as well! As if we were best friends! The top notch customer service and genuine feel is truly premium-dare I stay- as premium as the salad I inhaled without getting any in my car interior. Wish I would've just driven the extra 10 minutes to Scarsdale. Absolutely horrible service and the place is not kept clean at all. The silver bowl my salad was put in for dressing was not washed thoroughly and still had remains from the previous salad. The cashier did not inform me they were out of bread and gave me an attitude when I asked if there was any. I have pretty much always enjoyed my meals from here. Would definitely recommend their falafels -very tasty! There's been one or two occasions where my bowl was a bit light on ingredients vs when it's usually more filled up. This usually happens with grain bowls. Delish! I ordered the Spicy Cashew Soba Noodle and it was beyond delicious. The salad included soba noodles, carrots, cashews, edamame, scallions, celery, purple cabbage, broccoleaf & kale. The recommended dressing has some sort of sriracha blend I believe and it was just perfect. I loves noodles & spice so it was a match for me. Service was great & super fast. The beverage choice is subtly sweet, I had their lemonade & loved it. Wish I tried their cookies & brownies but I'm sure it's just as delish. read more

Decent and healthy food but they really need to get the online ordering right. You can only order for pickup in about an hour at busy times, and even then, the food is not ready on time and 20+ minutes late, even when there are not that many other customers. If you are going to give a pickup time in an hour, at least have it ready. read more

I really really love this place! I have been here many times, lots of people I work with as well. I get it for dinner on the way home, I get it for lunch. YUMMY and clean and the people that work here are awesome! I went to another Chopt in Westchester and it was dingy and the people that worked there were not very customer friendly, it was as if I was asking for a personal favor rather than just doing their job with a smile. My salads have never been made incorrectly and I am vegetarian...I have replaced chicken with tofu on line and they were on point! Thank you! I love the Bahn Mi salad replaced with tofu, the Mendocino salad, Falafel salad and customer crafts. This is soooo awesome, I really enjoy these salads and when I let you apply the dressing, I'm not overindulging and the salad is great because you add it and chop and stir. read more

Let me start by saying the salad was good and exactly what I expect from this type of place. The service sucked. The place wasn't busy and the girl was rushing me to choose my options. The girl at the register didn't even tell me they didn't have soda after I asked her what size "FOUNTAIN SODAS" they had. Ended up w some lemonade which I didn't want. And the place was not clean. Tables were all dirty and the place you got your drinks was as well. Not a good look. And the biggest issue was the person chopping the salads didnt clean the cutting board or knife. I dont like their new way of chopping things. It's nice that the lettuce is already chopt, but for some of the toppings like eggs or avocados they just use the plastic thing to mix dressing in to chop it. I went to do a curbside pickup order. When I arrived I asked one of the staff about my order as he was walking to the door from bringing another man, who did curbside pickup, his food. He walked passed and acted like he didn't see me call to his attention. Another white male with an accent came outside and I asked him about my order and was told it was ready via text. He then asked if I got the confirmation text. OBVIOUSLY!! Then when he finds my name he stands behind the door waving his hand to get my attention instead of opening the door to hand it to me. I'm a very understanding and patient customer.but this is the 5th time I have an issue with this location I always order company lunches from Chopt and it's always an issue! From missing salads to no chicken or dressing even. I never complain but today was the last straw for me. We always spend $150 -200 dollars on these orders and receive bad service. It's so disappointing that we will have to choose a different restaurant for our lunches. read more

Great salad and mixed bowl options. As others mentioned it is kind of pricey but it seems like healthy options usually are. The staff was friendly as I had no idea what to order from the extensive menu. The veggies look fresh, the options are basically unlimited and outdoor seating is nice. A salad is a salad. Not sure why you pay in the middle of them preparing your food... Kinda weird, quite unsanitary. Their employees could use an attitude adjustment. The man that made my salad was sassy to say the least. I asked to create my own salad, asked for a small he looked at me like I was from another planet. I proceeded to ask for onions, he goes "pickled" so I said I was hoping for raw, and he got all "well WE only have pickled". Throughout the whole experience I felt SO rushed and anything I asked for was met with a SNAPPY attitude. Best part was, my boyfriend was standing behind me the whole time, and as soon as he offered to pay for my food, the server's whole attitude changes and he SO POLITELY asks my boyfriend if he was ordering anything as well. Then goes back to the nasty attitude had towards me. Once he handed me my salad,he stormed off to the back screaming "oh my fucking god". I want to first say that I love chopt and will always be a customer. I consider it more than just a salad place but an experience. Known for its welcoming atmosphere. Today however, I did not feel that same welcoming love. The salad chopper in particular was very short and not welcoming at all. Perhaps he was having a bad day? Not sure.
