This place is the CUTEST! it has the best cozy feeling inside, they were playing my favorite movie when I walked in too! lol I got to meet the owner, Sylvia and she was so helpful!! I had a plain slice of pizza and she had them cut it, just how I like it. So, shoutout to her & the team. I also tried their garlic knots, which were so soft and garlicky, ugh. They were like little pillows, plus the sauce was so yummy. It comes with a cup of sauce, they don't skimp on the sauce people! Their red sauce is very good, seasoned well. Came in the other day for the first time. What a cute cozy place. Service was Great!! Our waiter Angel was supper friendly and welcoming. The food was fresh and delicious..Angel said the Pizza was the best in the area (a stong statement with Yonkers being right next door) But you know I need to return to investigate that. The beautiful Restaurant is right on Saw Mill River Road (next to the Carvel) but its easy to miss (especially if you are driving Northbound), because the place faces the Carvel and not the main road. Wow what a find! Was driving by and stopped in to check it out. Pizza on the right, small dining room on the left. I can't say what the pizza was like as we didn't order any, but the other reviews here seem to consistently give it two thumbs up. Being a Saturday evening the dining room area was full (maybe only 8-10 tables in there) but a couple were just leaving so we were seated quickly. A broad selection of entrees, and I had the Pappardelle Funghi which was simply amazing - rich and aromatic and the pasta was done just perfectly. A very generous serving too. My companion had the Eggplant Parm which was done JUST right. We shared a bottle of amazing Montepulciano which complemented both dishes and we had a simply amazing meal. Sylvia the owner came over and chatted with us and told us the story of the restaurant and her ownership of the place for the past 2+ years and we wish her nothing but the best. Yes it's a small and unpretentious dining area but the staff are quick and attentive, the food just delightful and we will absolutely be back! read more

Went there for the first time in a long time although the food was good, the service was awful very slow and inattentive - I think their effort goes to take out and not dining in---apparently we were informed they are under new ownership so maybe that is the issue -they are working out the kinks of running a busy formerly successful restaurant - I hope they succeed - its been a great local place that has gone through several change of hands. Returned again 4 weeks later to give the place another try and the new ownership has still not figured it out . Their seemingly only waitress did her best to handle the full restaurant at 6:30 but we were there for over 30 minutes before our order was taken. They offer delicious bread but that didn't appear until we asked four times . The food remains delicious although my husbands favorite was not up to par - we will give them more time to get their timing better before we return. read more

Even though I didn't go for Pasta, Pizza or an Eggplant Parm on my first try, my Arugula Salad with shaved Parmesan and Grilled Shrimp, was good. Just so you know- you can almost hopscotch to Riviera Bakehouse from Stagioni- since it's just a car lot away. But anyhow, Stagioni opens up with their Brick Pizza Oven on right, host's table not far and a quaint dining room. Don't get the wrong idea- it's not just Chicken Parm, Spaghetti and Meatballs. Stagioni seems like it has a nice balance of old-school favorites with down-home Italian options. Then again- it's just on paper. Then again- I haven't been able to read this place yet. There's a bit for everyone with Chicken, Beef and pork- even with a Fish dish. Plus their Vegetarian selections, are taking good marks for me right now. Like the Pappardelle Funghi I ordered for take-out since our house is a mess with construction and painting going on. Verdict on the Mushroom Pappardelle? Good. Just thought it was odd the Goat Cheese on an Italian dish. (I mean...is that a thing??? I don't know...I'm not italian). Pasta was al dente though and Mushrooms were fresh...not canned. I could not stay away from the homemade oven baked bread. My Vitelio Sorrentino entree was cooked to perfection. The broccoli robe was sautéed the way I would do it (butter and garlic). When I called, the owner, he was nasty. He lost my business plus many friends and family that live within Ardsley and Dobbs area. The owner is cheap, mean and a bad business man. Go to La Cugina, or better yet, Scarmellas. Not to mention the fact that the chicken scap.. was not good at all, the chicken had a bad smell to it. DO NOT ORDER from this restaurant. I have been coming here with my family since they opened over 5 years ago, it's our go-to spot for pizza Friday's and we always have a good experience. Seasonal menu with specialty pies, good paninis and really good pasta dishes as well. Brian the owner and the rest of the staff treat you like family, very nice people, accommodating and always a pleasure to interact with them. It's a modern place with roughly 10 tables and 3 high tops. They definitely have some pasta dishes that are unique, flavorful and great combinations. The homemade Gnocchi Liguria with fresh ricotta, hint of pesto, eggplant and basil was divine. The mixture of the potato gnocchi and creaminess from the ricotta melted in my mouth. The eggplant was similar to caponata minus the vinegar. I love their vodka bolognese pie, the ratio of cheese to sauce to meat is perfected. The pizza holds perfectly, there is no flop. The great thing about Stagioni is that even if there's an item that's not on the current menu but was in the past, they will always make it for you. Easily the best pizzeria within the river town area. This isn't your ordinary NY pizzeria where you find the typical toppings such as onions, sausage, pepperoni, eggplant, peppers, mushrooms. No no at stagioni, you will find cheeses like Bufala mozz, burrata, goat cheese, and toppings like Prosciutto, figs, meatballs, sopressata..the list just goes on. Some of the pizzas and pastas are calabrese inspired with a little heat which I love. Authentic pizza with fresh ingredients is tough to find in the area, but stagioni has you covered. Here's the problem - I feel ripped off. Been here a number of times and the service has been excellent. The food very good. Went yesterday evening and when the check came I got the shock of my life. The charges were nothing like the price on the menu we received prior to ordering. For instance my wife's steak was on the menu as $34. The charge was $46. I questioned this and was told the prices increased. Fine, but why didn't we receive an updated menu? Or a printout of the new prices? No answer. The steak was good, my chicken scarpariello was good as well. The person we were with had eggplant parmigiana but that was just all right. I still feel taken advantage of but there was no check adjustment. Therefore we will not be going back. We usually eat out a couple of times a week but there are many restaurants that are just as good and who don't hand out a check that is 50% higher than the misleading menu prices. I wonder if charging more than the menu price is even legal. read more

I really love this place because of how fresh it is....I come here all the time and never have any complaints. I went tonight and they changed the menu for the fall and all I can say is OH MY GOD! Who can say no to penne vodka chicken parm?? We also had the new bruschetta dish which had fresh figs , goat cheese , tons of honey , and fresh walnuts... I was in heaven ! Most important the staff is so attentive every time I've been here usually we have the same waitress with the short pixie hair cut she is great! I've been to the most well regarded joints in the city and I often crave the simple thin slices found here. The Davinci pizza is also excellent. Amazing experience with the people here. My wife and I had never ordered from Stagioni and decided to get some pizza delivered. We called Stagioni, and ordered a Gluten Free (my wife has celiac) pie with olives and onions, and a medium pie with onions, mushrooms, sausage and pepperoni. We waited a short time for our pizzas, which were delivered very hot and by a very nice young man. However, my pizza had red and green peppers instead of pepperoni. I was heartbroken, because although I love peppers they give me heartburn. I realized there may have been a mistaken pepperoni to peppers issue and took responsibility for not clearly stating my pepperoni desires. My wife calmly recommended I call Stagioni's to let them know. Being suspect of the outcome (I had a similar thing happen with another local pizza joint who admonished me for MY mistake when our pizza showed up soaking wet in a soggy box on a rainy night) I was hesitant to call. So, always listening to the smarter person in the room, my wife, I called Stagioni to let them know what happened. The person who took the call listened to my situation, and when I mentioned our address immediately said: Mushrooms Sausage Onions and Pepperoni Explaining to him the pie arrived with peppers and not pepperoni, without hesitation he said a new pie was being cooked and will be delivered shortly. Within 20 minutes, a correct new very hot pie arrived, delivered by the same young man. We only had a $20 bill which I asked to be changed to 2 $10's a $5 to tip the delivery guy. He refused the tip, and graciously apologized for the mistake. I was stunned at the experience. Well done Stagioni's. You have an ardent supporter of your restaurant, and eater of your pizza!
