My husband and I moved to Delaware and found a sedation dentist who patched my 1960's mercury fillings with a 'slap dash' of porcelain. We needed to find a new dentist. My husband found "Smiles by Higgins and Holsinger" in Denton, MD. They do everything, from soup to nuts, including sedation dentistry; however, their sedation dentistry is oral, not intravenous, and, therefore, safer. Their business is state of the art and the site upon which they built their business is gorgeous! Dr. Holsinger is the best dentist I have ever had and I am 68-years old. The work he does is flawless, truly PAINLESS and over with before you know it. I cannot accurately convey to you how finding a dentist I look forward to seeing has changed my life. I have a lot of fun at every visit because the staff could not be nicer, more helpful or more supportive. They provide you with a small bag of soup, pudding and applesauce, but I have not needed it. Dr. Holsinger calls the evening following my procedure to see how I am doing. And every single person who works there SMILES.

I got tired of the drive so on my mom's recommendation I saw Dr Lucus. Unlike every single dentist prior, Dr Lucus didn't make a big issue about all of my problems or make me feel bad about it. On my first appointment, he fixed my front tooth that was chipped, which evened out & significantly improved my smile line! I have been wanting to get my smile line capped, but the prices I had been quoted from previous dentists was ridiculous- $10k+! Even without my insurance, the price I'm paying with Dr Lucus is thousands less. Additionally, within my smile line I have a dental implant. Dr Lucus has gone above and beyond to make sure he has the proper tools to handle my implant. I have found most dentists to be highly money motivated, & aggressive with treatments due to the financial benefit not patient care but Dr Lucus is not. He won't push you for procedures you don't need. You can talk to him & he will actual listen! You can ask questions and participate in your dental care. He is incredibly accommodating. We worked together on my treatment plan. If you want a dentist that cares about you as a person and a patient, I highly recommend Dr Lucus!
