We were going n the vicinity & wanted to try a new milk tea & boba place. I will say that this place was a little hard to find. It has almost no signage on its east side where the main door is & it's in a unique cluster of buildings. Inside the shop is upscale & clean. A cute little bakery but I think it'll be more of a one and done place for me if I'm in the area again. The staff was ridiculously friendly but the place was overall very generic in terms of their coffee in my opinion. I decided to get the tiramisu coffee and while it was rather good, there was a bit too much cinnamon dusting on my coffee and the drink was very sweet even though I got it with less sweetness. The coffee itself was very good and rich though! A little expensive, with my drink being almost $7 dollars, I definitely don't think it was worth it. They also have many different little bakery items but I didn't get any because the price tag was a little high for the size of the items in my opinion as well. I also wish the A/C was a little higher because it was rather warm in there while I was visiting this place. This is a very cute Asian style bakery & tea house. They have some very good teas & drinks. I love the unsweet Jasmine green tea. It's moi fave. The little strawberry shortcake is very good but their version of Tiramisu is horrible. Tiramisu is one of our fave desserts we eat it regularly. It's Italian, not asian. I know it's very fun to "re-invent" some things but Tiramisu is not one of them. Tiramisu is suppose to be creamy, light & fluffy with a liquor & chocolate flavor. Not taste like a Chewy Chinese boba ball with a North Korean flavor. You can't re-invent the Tiramisu wheel to an Asian Chinese Korean chewy boba Tiramisu. It doesn't work. This adorable little cafe is tucked away in a very nice shopping center with plentiful parking and a surprisingly large number of hibiscus bushes! It was quiet on a Saturday afternoon, and my sister and tried the Matcha Latte, Classic Milk Tea, and Tiramisu Crepe Cake, all of which came out in just a few minutes. I asked the person at the counter what the yogurt drink was like and she said it's just like an Asian yogurt drink, I wish she had told me it tastes very fermented. I thought it was spoiled at first and then clarified with her after it's supposed to be "sour" but I had to trash it. It was pretty empty on a Saturday at around 2 p.m. There aren't any big tables, so I would definitely recommend coming with four or less or else you'll have to push round tables together. This seems to be a place where they want you to stay and hang out, which is nice. We got a couple desserts to try. One was the tiramisu mousse cake and the other was a passionfruit cake. Delightful girls welcomed us today for their first soft opening of this Vietnamese owned Bakery and Cafe. They have a smaller amount of options with being a soft opening and they are honoring buy one get one free now as well as on the weekend for their grand opening. The first boba spot in carillon! In love with this tiny bakery at the bottom of an office building. Very unassuming from the outside, no signage until you get to the door. Long list of boba and coffee flavors. They even have Wintermelon which is typically a bit hard to find. I came here with my husband because we were staying nearby. We first tried the Custard Choux which was decent on the outside, but the filling tasted more like whipped cream than custard. Rating 3/10. We also ordered the Ube Crepe Cake. I would rate this 3/10, the layers were uneven, and they used a gelatin stabilizer in the cream which made it like a creamy jello. Then there was the Japanese Cheesecake - 4/10. The cake shape was nice, but the flavor was very light it was poorly baked. The inside was souffle as it should be, but then a large portion of the outside was hard and crusty. We also ordered Lavender Milk Tea. It was way too sweet, 100% sugar tasted like 150% sugar. Couldn't even finish it. Rating 2/10 Lastly, we had the Vietnamese Egg Coffee. It tasted more like a chocolate-heavy mocha and lacked strong Vietnamese coffee flavor. 3/10. Overall, we rate it 2 stars and would not plan to come back. I would look elsewhere if you're looking for a good bakery/café. At the time of our visit, this place had 4.8 on both Google and Yelp. Once you find the location, you quickly discover that it is well decorated on the inside with a good amount of seating both inside and outside. The ambiance follows the trend of many coffee shops these days, being cute and Instagram friendly. Service was friendly and efficient, although having just open 3 days ago, it was a little slower than expected. But no worries, because I'm sure they will work things out once they've had more time to progress :) They have a variety of baked goods and pastries. This is more like 4.5 stars! Such a cute spot and in an area where there isn't much- so I hope they do really well! They are kind of hidden to the side/behind The Karol hotel if you are coming from Ulmerton. I went in on their opening day where it was BOGO. I got here at 9:40 and most of the room temp items were already sold out. They took a while to be replenished. But I was able to grab the last egg tart and ordered a tiramisu ball. I ordered an iced salted viet. Coffee and a taro milk tea to drink since it was BOGO. The taro tea was good- I asked for it 50% sweetened. I normally get it 25% sweetened but it was a busy day and I didn't want to ask too many questions! I wasn't sure if they have boba since I didn't see it on the menu but I did see some tea drinks had the fruit pearls so I am assuming they have boba too. The salted viet. Coffee was SOOOO GOOOD! Again, I asked for light condensed milk and it was perfect. The first sip is salty and then the lightly sweetened coffee hits and it's this explosion in your mouth where at first , you're like "WHOA, salty" but then that mellows out with the coffee and it's just the best thing ever. The egg tart was slightly sweet- and a good snack size. The tiramisu ball was almost like a cold sweet cream ( but not ice cream). I would cut it in half and eat it like that so that you get more of the cake. I had to update my review! This was actually good because the cake is strong on the coffee taste but NOT sweet so the cream on top really compliments it! Highly suggest you give it a try. My only suggestions are to include boba types and sweetness level options on the menu and to provide almond milk as an option since more people have dairy intolerances.
