Dr. Chow is my hero! After a horrifying experience with those hacks at Western Dental who told me I had a fractured tooth and root that would require extraction if a root canal could not save my tooth, I went to my previous dentist for a 2nd opinion. She said she did not see any fracture but could have a possible acscess and referred me to Dr. Chow who got me in same day. I was a nervous wreck and was just hoping that my tooth could be saved. Dr. Chow was funny, personable, patient, compassionate, extremely knowledgeable and performed his consultation with care, explaining each step along the way. Upon completing my evaluation which I am not going to lie was a painful experience but I soon learned, pain response was a good sign my teeth were alive and did not need a root canal or extraction because all I had was a simple case of sinusitis. I cried tears of joy and relief and promptly filled my prescription for anti-biotics, anti-inflammatory and anti-histamines. This morning I am excited to report that for the first time in 3 months, I am pain free, I slept all night and as I write this I am overwhelmed with tears of joy, relief and gratitude to real professionals who provide real, compassionate, honest, care. Any other dentist would have done a root canal even though it wasn't necessary but not Dr. Chow, he is an honorable man of the highest integrity and although I hope I never have to see him again (mean that in the best possible way), if I ever do need an expert, it will be Dr. Chow. Five stars - even if I hate root canals! Ed did my first ever root canal today. I've been dreading that forever, but I have to say first, that he quickly put me at ease completely and there was very little pain (as he promised). Secondly, he's a terrific man, loves to exchange ideas, show what he's doing, and really (honest) made this a terrific experience. OK, it'd have been a bit better experience if we'd met, say, at a party, but this was far, far easier than any dentist experience I've ever had, and I feel as though I've made a new friend. This was my second visit with Dr. Edmond Chow and this time it turned out not to be a root canal. This time I was dizzy and exhausted from pain and he made sure I had everything to take care of it and cure it. My own general dentist could not see me until later the same day and these few hours made a lot of difference to me. He's an excellent diagnostician and is impressive technically. I've had root canals before and the last one was done by him. Quite honestly, this is what you expect from a top notch specialist. What made me write this review -- admittedly, I should have done it last year -- is that he is genuinely kind. He is funny, too. In addition, he will call you to follow up. On a weekend. If I were a general dentist, he'd be the only endodontist I'd work with. He's as good as it gets. read more

Dr. Chow should be on the RADAR for everyone that needs to have root canals done ! There is not enough words to describe his incredible skills as the best endodontist around. This is my second visit for root canals and felt this time, like I did not have any treatment done to this back wisdom tooth molar that had 3 long root canals. Reading all the previous raving reviews, it is such an honor to be one of his patient and will never hesitate to recommend him as the "King of Root Canals". INCREDIBLE! I wish I had more root canals solely to meet with Dr Chow again. He is a miracle worker. After a series of unfortunate dental mishaps I finally got a plan that worked. It involved getting a retreated root canal and while my appointment got a bit mixed up the doctor made every step of the way even better. He resolved my frustrations, ensured my benefits covered my situation and was so flexible and amazing. He made me laugh! He's intelligent and well versed on so many subjects. I can't stop raving. Dr. Chow and his staff went above and beyond what I expected. I was in need of an Emergency Root Canal. Dr. Chow was worried I was going to need one on a tooth next to the one I just had done. Turns out the next day (Saturday) I called him with my symptoms he met me at his office & I indeed needed another Root Canal. Over the next week or so he & his office staff continued to call me & check on me. I've never experienced the level of personal contact & care from a Dr. I am grateful & will recommend him to all of my friends & family. read more

Friendly, kind, very accommodating in every way I can imagine a dentist should be.

"Ed", as he introduces himself, is the best dentist I've ever met. So relaxed and attentive. He spent a half hour getting to know me, did two quick x-rays, and then explained to me in very real terms what my options are. We BOTH decided that a root canal, although always an option, is not the wisest course at this time but that oral surgery might be a solution later on. HE turned away work because it wasn't the best thing for ME. That's someone I can trust. After writing a comprehensive report for my dentist, essentially telling him what my treatment plan should be, we chatted some more about his humanitarian endeavors (great stories!) and then parted ways. Hopefully I won't need an endodontist again but, if I do, I'll ask for Ed. read more

My first ever root canal. I felt very cared for and Dr. Chow could not have been kinder. He took time to explain everything and did not rush in the least. Probably the best medical or dental experience I have ever had. I wish he was a general dentist as well. It is difficult to find one that is not all about pushing unneeded treatments. I am now pain free and feel so lucky to have been referred to Dr. Chow. He also travels to Asian countries monthly to treat children in need. read more

I've only been there for 1 or 2 visits years ago, but my memories of those visits are nothing but good. I was told by a friend about a pain-free endodontist. Eventually I needed a root canal, and my general dentist was going to send me to one I've visited before, and didn't have a good experience with. So I asked my dentist if he could refer me to the one my friend recommended, and he did. As my friend said-Pain Free. I second the motion!!! Awesome and patient dentist. He took his time and didn't overbook his appointment with me. I would definately go back for another one, if needed. read more

Alway 5 stars. I have had 3 root canals overall by Edmond. 2 in the last month. Not usually a ton of fun. But if it has to get done then Dr Chow is the best guy to trust. All the reviews you see are exactly what to expect. I have been in pain and I remembered my last root canal he did and I knew I would only go back to him. Great friendly staff as well. I have had 2 root canals done by Dr. Chow. He is very gently with the needle, hardly felt it. I have had many bad experiences with dentists. I moved recently and would definitely make the 3 hour one way trip if I need another root canal just to see him. I totally trust him with my teeth! AMAZING! So thankful I found him!!! read more

If you need a trustworthy endodontist, look no further. I cannot rave enough about Dr Chow. He will NOT perform any treatments that are unnecessary. We've been referred here for my elderly mother twice now for root canal by her primary dentist and both times he told us they weren't necessary. One time she only needed a filling, the second time she needed NOTHING. He is adamant about not doing procedures that don't need to be done. How many dentists can you find like this? He's very caring, very friendly, very thorough and efficient. His staff is very accommodating and helpful and friendly also. My mother is wheel chair bound and they even helped me out to the car and assisted me in getting her in the car safely. 100% recommend this office, Dr Chow is amazing!! read more

Awesome, awesome AWESOME! I've had a total of 8 root canals and 3 of them were "retreats" by Dr. Chow because the original Endodontist didn't do them correctly. I will never go to another Endodontist ... Dr. Chow is indeed the "Root Canal Whisperer". He always takes the conservative approach, not wanting to waste your time or money. He ultimately is truly concerned about the well being of the patient, their teeth and comfort level.
