Shady and despicable is what I have to say about this office. So, I have been with this office for about a year. And tbh they were ok with some exceptions like not disabling my auto pay or putting in a request for a claim and having them forget put it in, which I let slide. Recently I called and spoke to Chris (not sure if it was Chris Bolton or not) but I asked Chris to go ahead and cancel my renters insurance. Chris then asked why? I said I'm under my girlfriend coverage so I don't need it anymore. Then he says who is she with etc. I said please cancel my service. Then he asks "Are you both serious?" Like wow what business that of yours?! Then he said well I can get you a cheaper rate. I said I'm good please cancel. Then Chris persists and says go ahead and talk to your girlfriend provide her with information that can lower her rates, and when you are ready call back so we can move forward. I said I never agreed to that to please just cancel! Then he said this will effect my premium and you will lose your discount. I said I don't care! Cancel, Please!. He said fine its cancelled bye and hung up. I was furious of his unprofessionalism so I immediately called state farm request to change agents. Fast forward a month and I notice that two payments were taking out of my account one was for car insurance and the other was for renters!. I called my new agent and she said that it looks like it was in process to cancel but they never signed off on it so it didn't get cancelled. She said whoever was handling your account didn't finish the cancelation process but they had to time to cancel your discount. She said that she is sorry and that she will be working on getting me a refund, and also helped me lower my premium as well. This agency and the agent Chris are petty to their customers. I gave this office so many chances. Very frustrating how they rarely admit to there very obvious mistakes. They always blame the system. Times they absolutely cannot blame the system. When I've ask to speak to Chris because these girls didnt know how to handle something. He is always "sick" or "OUT". These girls always have such sassy attitudes. It's true that you only know how good your insurance company and agent are when you need to report a claim. I had an awful car accident in Oct. 2014 and it took me until March 2015 to settle my claim. Chris Bolton chose not to involve himself for a quick solution even though I had a $1000 medical insurance rider on my account that I was entitled to (mind you, it was put on without my knowledge and I had been paying for it for some time). It was only when I talked to the attorneys at the hospitial that my claim was finally resolved 6 mos later! Chris didn't seem to care that we had 2 homes and 4 cars with his agency and made little to no effort to help with my claim. Just out of the hospital with head trauma, I had to call 800 #'s, sit on hold for up to 15 mins at a time and explain my case over and over again with nobody on the other end of the line understanding what was going on. First Chris told me to bring all the bills to him and they'd be paid then when I went into collections at the hospital, I was told not to worry they'd be paid. But, when the bill was 90 days old and it still wasn't paid I was told to go ahead and pay it and I'd be reimbursed. What did they do? They sent additional money to the hospital after my entire bill had already been paid and the account was settled. Unbelievably poor service, unbelievable apathy from the agent and a company that doesn't know what the heck it's doing! State Farm may have been good back in the day but this experience has cured me! BTW - I saved 1/2 when moving my homes and cars to Safeco! Hopefully I won't have a claim to experience but if I do, I doubt it could possibly be worse than my experience with Chris Bolton & State Farm. read more

Worst insurance office I've ever dealt with , had a miscommunication over billing due to my wallet being stolen and a card being canceled and changed out. Instead of notifying me they decided to start the process of canceling my coverage which resulted in my car not being covered for more than 30 days before I noticed what they had done. That then allowed them to penalize me and come back with a new monthly rate roughly 300% higher. I would have had no issue paying a small penalty for the mistake on my end but for them to not call even once or send an email to the correct address to notify me of what's going on is complete shit and a scam. Ultimately this will now cost me an additional 60 a month on what I had been paying before and I've had to switch to geico who quoted me 248 a month for the same coverage you're now quoting me 600+ a month for. So congrats you lost a customer who until this incident hadn't missed a payment ever or even had a late one and had been insured with you for 10+ years. read more

We moved to Phoenix from Indiana and our car insurance was due to renew in 2 days. I called Chris's office today and within an hour his staff member (I'm sorry, I don't remember her name), called my former agent to get our information and called me back with a quote that was cheaper than what I would have paid in Indiana. I was expecting to pay more based on what I heard from others about Phoenix's car insurance rates. She also asked if we still had a golf cart. We sold it a month ago and we never received any paperwork from our former agent when it was up for renewal in June. We assumed we were no longer insuring it. Somehow, we were still paying for coverage. I'm not sure how that happens! All our furniture is in storage while our house is being built in Phoenix. Our former agent said to just keep our homeowner's policy in effect (even though we no longer owned the house). Chris's office said even though we are temporarily living with our daughter, we can take out renter's insurance at her apartment and it would cover our furniture and belongings for much less than keeping our homeowner's policy. I was so glad I called Chris's office. I found him online when searching for an agent near where we are going to live. I also looked at his good Yelp reviews. This review shows how different agents are. I was with the other agent for over 30 years. I had no idea until now the poor customer service and advice he gave me.
