A friend recommended Chris to me after we had spent months with another real estate agent.  She warned me that he "didn't shop that area" but that he would give me some great advice.  I called him the next day and he and I spoke for over an hour.  He helped me understand the counter-offer that we were dealing with (in detail) and never once made me feel like an inconvenience or that he was doing it as a favor.  He was warm, welcoming, informative, and funny! The next day, we spoke again and he offered to show us the houses we wanted to see, even though it was well out of his usual zone.  He showed us 2 homes that we were interested in.  My husband and I went home that evening and discussed - we had lost 8 other offers in the previous couple of months.  Really tough market toward the end of the 2020 pandemic craziness and we were tired.  We were so beaten down, we almost didn't even bother putting in an offer.  We knew that our situation was rough - a VA loan, not much $$ down and not a lot else to offer other than being great buyers, and good people (try selling that in L.A!).   Chris got on the phone with the selling agent and pleaded our case.  He recommended some interesting ideas on the offer for us to really submit the strongest offer we could without putting us in an uncomfortable situation.  He submitted our offer and we waited - but not long.  2 days later, our offer was ACCEPTED!   Our dream home was finally within reach.  He immediately set up a mobile timeline that alerted us to contingency timelines etc.  He started a binder with all of the paperwork so we didn't have to print out 8000 documents.  He set up the inspections, recommended vendors and was so responsive - and not just via text!  Chris totally GOT US.  He knew that we were new to homebuying, nervous and beat up.  And yet, he made the experience exciting, fun and easy.  Not once throughout the escrow process were we worried, frustrated or confused.  Chris showed up at inspections, was in constant communication with the selling agent and negotiated so that EVERYBODY WON.  We all walked away happy and quite frankly - it almost felt like we were friends by the end and we spent less than 4 hours with the man!  In this unique environment, real estate is challenging.  It's hard to build relationships, schedule in-person meetings, walkthroughs, etc.  Chris made it work - and at one point, I even said, "I almost wish it would have taken longer to find a place because I'm gonna miss Chris".  He only showed us 2 houses - that tells you everything you need to know about this real estate professional.  I can't recommend him more highly and I can't wait to refer him to my friends.  He is someone you will love to work with, talk to and learn from.  I would rehire him again in a heartbeat. read more
