When I brought my concerns to upper management, she attempted to rectify the situation, but unfortunately, it was beyond repair. Ultimately, I had to terminate the agreement. I then engaged a management company that proved to be exceptionally proactive and communicative. They successfully identified a new tenant within a week, and the tenant moved in the following week. It is truly regrettable to operate and work in such circumstances when one cannot conduct business professionally. I never received the letter for the deposit and it was only until I physically drove to the office that I was able to find out they took our entire deposit. After trying to fight for it back they responded that we took too long to respond(obviously we took too long because we NEVER received the letter and after emailing the company asking where it was, they then informed me it was sent back). It is beyond dishonest and sneaky how all of it happened. I also had 3 maintenance requests submitted that were never fully completed, they lied and said were completed, which were not completed until months later or not at all. We lived in a roach infested apartment that they lied and said we caused, but there were countless bottles of bug spray under the sink when we moved in, some even labeled for german cockroaches(we have photos). We had rats living in our ceiling for months before someone came out. We even had the exterminator(after he finally showed up weeks later) tell us that they died in the walls and that is what was causing the smell and flies we had in our apartment for months. My boyfriend even found a rat in our personal items in the attic(again, I have photos). When they took our deposit they said blinds were broken, there were holes in the wall and they accused us of punching a hole in the closet. If they would have read the walk through sheet that THEIR employee Lacy Polk filled out, they would see those damages were already there. We also removed the closet doors when we moved in for space and because there was a GIANT hole already in the door! They were placed safely in the laundry room for 8 months untouched while we lived there, yet we supposedly broke them. They also said the porch outdoor carpet was filthy. Gee, the carpet that is outside, exposed to the elements in Florida where it rains everyday in the Summer, the carpet that was on the porch that would FLOOD when in rained(again, I have the videos) was found dirty? What a surprise. We moved out a week prior to Hurricane Matthew where I am certain the porch flooded. Try calling them, I guarantee no one will answer and if they do you are greeted with horrible customer service. My phone calls, emails and texts went unanswered for days, even when it came down to urgent matters like a severe leak that was in my room ceiling fan and caused damage to my mattress that I had to replace. It's just unfair and cruel to take money from hardworking college students that tried, no PLEADED for help with the roach infestation, but we were forced to leave the lease early after we could not even cook without roaches falling on the stovetop, I would be awoken in the middle of the night with roaches around me. I even set the videos and photos to Nancy while it was happening, but we were accused of causing the problem. After leaving one pile of trash, an umbrella and a piece of salmon in the freezer our entire deposit was wrongfully taken and after messaging them about going to court they replied with a cold sarcastic, "sounds good". I paid my rent on time every month, I put in my maintenance requests as soon as problems occurred and even spent my own hard earned money to rid the apartment of pests, I definitely don't need to be treated this way, nor do I deserve this headache. Read Better Business Bureau reviews, the other Yelp reviews, yellow page reviews, they all say the SAME thing about them wrongfully taking people's deposits, being unprofessional and frankly, slimy. Note that we were not told next steps or any sort of direction after this. No direction with a deadline, or requesting us to submit an extension. We do not hear back until 3 months later with a notice that our account was sent to the law firm. Then when I contacted Jo Ann; she said "I wish you had contacted us before this year" which I then sent her proof of us reaching out to Sentry in November 2025 and apparently this didn't matter because even though I was able to prove that we did contact them and didn't receive any direction, they still told us the fees would have to be paid although their company dropped the ball. I know many people who have had this management company and have received final notices before warnings. It's very sketchy and I feel as if they are trying to get extra money even when it was their fault. I know people leaving my neighborhood due to this management company and would never recommended them.

It appears they only wanted to fine me as they made no effort to respond to correspondence or to appear at the hearing they scheduled. Update: I spoke with the representative for my neighborhood and we got the issue settled. While I still feel a $1000 fine is excessive for a trash can left out, I understand better the situation. I still think they should have given me a time for the meeting instead of me sitting online for almost 4 hours. I still feel they should have replied to my correspondence instead of ignoring me. I will give them an extra star for solving this misunderstanding.
