He would meet us half way to do our taxes on occasion when our daughter was an infant. Always a word of good advice and I'm sure he didn't charge me enough for his services. Charlie will be missed but Steve certainly "picked up the mantle." Steve is very approachable and is willing to listen to what you have to say. Don't let his mild laid back manner and occasional stocking feet fool you. He's on the ball and knows what he is doing. Steve even came to our house once to do the taxes; chip off the old block. Be careful, my first rate was for one year only and then went down (I was told because the rates went down) Now after rates have been up for 2 years, my rate has not risen. I got a call about my first rating and they asked what they could do to fix it, I said raise my rate - heck if they invest my money in CDs, they will make 5%, so pay me 4%. I understand the caps on market wins (because they make sure you don't lose money) but with fixed income, it should be close to market rate (especially since it resets every year.

I was in a car accident today and even though this has been a crazy, emotional, hectic, traumatic…read more(not really) and just a big mess of a day I am thankful for my car insurance. I am on the same policy as my husband so I didn't really know what my coverage included. Thankfully I have collision with car rental in my policy. I called them after everything settled down and gave them the details of the accident. When my rep/agent for the claim called me back (Alvin) today we went through the details of the accident and all that good stuff. He was helpful, sensitive, and responsive to my needs. They are handling everything. They are towing my car from the shop, where I took my car, to their own place to assess the damage. Alvin explained all the different options to me. If it is not worth fixing and how that will be handled and a reasonable time frame (less than a week - 4 working days). If it is fixable they will tow it to a collision shop for repairs themselves. My car rental service is 10 days max if the car needs to be junked (and they will give me a check for the amount of what the car is worth before the accident). If the car needs to be repaired the car rental is for 30 days. This has been a huge weight off my shoulders. They are taking fast action and I don't have to do anything except give them the police report number. Thank you for making a bad experience must more tolerable. A+ *oh one side note - I did not know I had car rental coverage until Alvin called me later that day. When I originally called in to report the accident I wish the woman on the phone who took my info would've told me I had the rental coverage. But its an easy fix and not a big deal. They will just switch it over to the insurance company and I just have to put down a $150 deposit (but he said Enterprise will usually take a $50.00 deposit - i think its a fuel deposit? I can't remember what he said.

So after we decided to go with a different company I was contacted by the folks at Global. They…read morewere very apologetic. Offered to do the work at no cost to me and so forth. I was already engaged with the new company and couldn't unpull that trigger. At this point, I am pretty much forgiving the mistakes and issues. One issue to note is that the 3rd party a guy who is contracted by Global seems to be telling them a story that doesn't fit the scene. The owner at Global told me that his 3rd party guy told him somethings about the seller which I kno weren't true (because I was there). He made it out to be that we (the seller and myself) were upset with him (the third party guy), when infact-at the time, we were pleased with Mr Third party (see initial review by me) and upset at Global for the mistakes and what we sensed was an attitude from their representative over the phone while talking to 3rd party guy. All in all, they did try to rectify the situation so I am increasing the stars from 1 to 3.
