In a panic, my aunt helped me Chrissy who took my dress 3-4 days before my wedding and removed the back and put a corset in so that I could wear my dress.

Went here to have some patches sewn on my leather vest. This was one of the only places in the area…read morethat I found that could do the work. It was about two weeks to have them sewn on and while they did ask me if it was ok to sew through the liner, they did sew through the liner and pockets rendering the inner left pocket unusable. I don't really use the pockets except maybe to put my phone in, but I would have thought that they wouldn't have done that. All in all I had 4 patches sewn on for $80. As you can see, one got sewn right through the inside pocket. I would have like to have been asked about that, but hindsight being 20/20, I guess if I need any more sewn, I'll let them know. This business seems to do a lot of alterations for wedding dresses, so I'm guessing not a lot of bikers are hitting them up to sew their cuts. Just be aware if that's something you need.

LE truly went above and beyond for me…read more I was referred by Mariee's Bridal in Scottsdale to Suzanne's Sewing to have my wedding dress altered, and unfortunately it turned into a disaster. After my very first appointment, my dress went from fitting perfectly to not fitting at all, and with every subsequent appointment it only got worse. Two weeks before my wedding, I realized I had to take a chance and find someone else. I called Le and she knew even before seeing the dress, she immediately understood what was going on and agreed to see me at the end of her workday. When she finally saw the dress, she was shocked by the condition it was in. It had essentially been slapped together by Suzanne's Sewing. The dress had been stretched out and damaged from being repeatedly taken in and out, and mismatched material had even been added under the arm area and along the sides that looked nothing like the original fabric. LE worked on my dress every single day. During the first week I was in the shop every other day, and the week before the wedding I was there every evening. The night before we left for the wedding, I didn't leave her shop until 3 a.m. Despite the condition the dress was in, LE managed to completely transform it. She made sure it fit me perfectly and that the corrective alterations looked seamless. She even prepared a backup dress for me in case the original dress ripped during the reception because of the previous damage. LE is incredibly skilled and has a remarkable eye for detail. With formal gowns, every adjustment affects the entire structure of the dress. If someone doesn't fully understand how each change impacts the rest of the garment, the results can quickly spiral into bigger problems. LE clearly understands this craft at a very high level. If you are getting married or have a special event, this is absolutely the place you should go for alterations...DO NOT GO TO SUZANNE'S SEWING!

I take full ownership for not being more vocal at the initial fitting when she completed the first alterations. That part is on me. After trying it on again at home, I texted Helena to let her know it was still slightly too tight. I was polite, apologetic, and expressed appreciation for her work. I also explicitly asked how much I owed her for the additional alterations -- I did not request that they be done free of charge. She responded kindly, said she just wanted me to be happy, and told me not to worry about paying more. I thanked her and reiterated my gratitude. When I brought the jumpsuit back in, the tone shifted. I was scolded and warned that if this "happens again," I would be charged double. For clarity: I never asked for complimentary alterations. I paid $150 for the original work and simply wanted the garment to fit properly so I could actually wear it in the future. Fast forward to today when I picked it up. I asked, as standard practice, if I should try it on before leaving. Her response: "Why would you do that? I didn't charge you. You don't need to try it on." The implication that I was being unreasonable for wanting to confirm the fit -- especially after the previous issue -- was unnecessary and unprofessional. I wasn't trying to "get away with" anything. I was trying to ensure the service I paid for was completed properly. While I appreciate that she ultimately adjusted the jumpsuit, the attitude and reprimanding were unwarranted. Professionalism matters just as much as craftsmanship.

She charged over $40 per Jean to get hemmed- just shortened not taken in or anything. $85 to hem 2 pairs of jeans is outrageous- almost costs as much as the pants! We had a 2 week turn around time if anyone was wondering. She might be able to do it quicker but I'm sure that would also come with an additional cost...

I live about an hour away and she told me my dress would be ready the day before I went out of state for my friend's wedding. I picked my dress up around 4pm right before she closed and tried it on and all was good. Then, when I got home there was a huge hole in the dress seem right under my cleavage area. I was extremely irritated as I just drove an hour to pick it up and an hour home to have a huge hole. I texted her about this and she told me to come back so she can restitch it because that is where she opened the seem. I couldn't drive an hour back the other way again since my flight left at 3am the next day and I am pregnant and have a toddler I was taking to my mother's house and still had a lot to get done The fact that my dress was ready the evening before I left and the entire situation with there being a huge hole was just insane. She did offer to drive to my house and fix it but I do not feel comfortable with a stranger coming to my home knowing I was going out of town the following day. Overall I ended up paying over $120 to sew it myself and didn't even get offered some of my money back.
