Christ Community Health does alot for the community. I hate to write this review about their Austin Peakway location. However, unprofessional across the board. I have been going to christ community health center on third street in memphis tn for a few years now and I have always loved them, but today April 18th 2024 I had an appointment and was asked sign in and they would call me. My appointment was for 11:30 a.m. but I got there at about 10:45, when I knew anything it was 12:45 and the front desk was trying to make it seem as though it was my fault. They said I should have said something. First of all I don't get paid to tell you how to do your job , instead of running your mouths about plans after work you should have been paying attention to your patients. Then the doctor/nurse practitioner Shawanda tells them she isn't going to see me and i would need to reschedule like maybe I was to blame. All of them except one was so rude. I'm going to report them so high up their chain of command it'll be unbelievable. An elderly lady had already gotten upset about the exact same thing and they were very rude with her as well. Would not recommended you getting a Covid-19 test done with Christ community.. Not doing thorough enough testing.. I had flu like symptoms and got tested at Christ community and the nasal swab seemed to be gentle and easy.. which didn't look like most videos I watched.. so I also made an appt same day with Baptist memorial.. baptist's test was intense and had me in tears.. Christ community called back 2days later with a negative result then the Baptist called with POSITIVE result.. listening to Christ community I would've been back at work and probably DEAD!! This was by far the most horrible experience I have ever experienced from a medical Clinic and staff. So horrible my blood pressure was spiked during the visit. Where should I start? I visit this location because I grew up in the neighborhood and it felt Good coming back home to see my mom and also to go to my local facility to be treated for my ongoing chronic back pains that I have been stuffing from since I was 17 after I was injured at a Restaurant I worked for and was fired the same day. This injury left me with pain and sciatic Nerve problems for the rest of my life. Fast forward I'm 30 now been in and out of the hospital and seen lots of Doctors about my condition but no one could ever help. Pain pills are all I was ever given but no real treatment from any doctor. Not that I can take the medication anyway because with my career it requires complete focus and the medication don't allow this. So I went to Christ Community Health Services: Frayser Health Center, Address: 969 Frayser Blvd, Memphis, TN 38127, Phone:(901) 701-2540 was Seen by a Great nurse practitioner by the name or Lori. She saw me for my condition and has managed my pain with Meds and a Custom made back brace. Unfortunately Lori is no longer at this location. So I Have spent three days at the location trying to be seen be seen for Hemorrhoids and also get my FMLA paperwork updates for the one day I went over. I initially saw nurse practitioner Alicia Barbara. The Medical provider came into the room wearing green pajamas and very messy hair. The Medical provider immediately walked into the room and advised me what she was not doing. She also advised me she told "Them" to tell me she was not completing my FMLA paperwork. she went as far as trying to break down the FMLA process to me. Also stating that she hasn't seen me for the condition. Of course you haven't seen me for the condition but my primary MD that no longer works here has seen me for the condition she also stated that if the pain gets worse come back and she will update my forms and explore other options for treatment. Alicia Barbara was very dismissive towards the entire visit she had her mind set to tell me what she was not doing. I was clearly in pain with an elevated blood pressure level from the restless night of the Hemorrhoids. I left the facility with an even higher blood pressure, no treatment for the Hemorrhoids and no FMLA paperwork completed. So I left he facility very upset. Reluctantly I came back to the location to see nurse practitioner Patrice Johnson. She seemed fine at the start of the visits. When I explained that I went over one episode for FMLA and I'm here for Hemorrhoids . She explained that she would not go against her co Worker. The same co- worker. That never examined me , touched me or even listened to me. Nurse practitioner came through the door and had her mind made up as if she was backing her co- worker without even speaking with her patient. It was very un-professional for you to walk in a room and tell me that you would not go against you co-worker without examining me or knowing the other side or whatever story you heard from you co-worker. IT was even more unprofessional to tell me you have not seen me for my back condition, and you don't have updates medical on file. YET YOU TAKE MY WORD FOR MY Hemorrhoids WITHOUT a physical examination to determine the problem, No medical on file for Hemorrhoids, no history of the condition listed in my charts but you call in drugs/ medication for what I told you I had without examining me to Walgreens. Without taking a look nothing but you call in drugs. What type of Medical provider asks the patient if they want to be examined? If the patients is saying something is wrong it's you job to examine the patient and determine that to be true or tell the patient that you can't give drug without seeing what's actually going on. If I tell you my head hurting you have no choice but to believe me to a certain level. But if I tell you I have a visible problem . as a medical provider you should have taken the proper step to make a Real determination After you examined the area. Patrice Johnson you had your heart and mind set on slapping you co work as you call her with a high five as if you going in to let me know something that you forgot to do your job. I'm reporting you to the nurse board Patrice Johnson. Please don't lie and say you examined me because I had my phone in my hand and I have evidence you didn't. Also I was able to contact the MD that treated me back when I was a teen when I first injured my back. He will be happy to complete my paperwork and update any forms and send over medical supporting this to my Job. Christ community is a mess and the medical providers all but the main doctors are very unprofessional. Horrible front desk help. Horrible wait time. 15 minutes on hold just to make a appointment. Takes nurse 4 days to respond to message. Avoid this place if possible. The Hispanic help is rude and racist. At front desk. read more
