We had a horrible experience at another school in the area, so we visited some schools/daycare in the area and this was the one that we liked the most. This is not the cheapest nor the more expensive and everything is clean and new since they opened this location recently, so you won't see nasty carpets in their classrooms. My kids are in the 3-years old class and their teacher Miss Manjeline is very nice and sweet, also, the Director and her assistant are nice, too. Actually, all the staff who works there are nice people, they always receive me with a smile. One of my kids was fully potty trained when they started school but the other one was still having accidents, actually the bad experience we had at the other school was related to his toilet accidents, which also caused that he didn't want to use the potty outside our home, but here at Briarcliff Daycare he had just a couple of accidents and that's all, he gained confidence and also, he is now using the potty everywhere. I can't say he is 100% potty trained, but with their teacher's help and patience I can say now we are in the right track and I am very thankful for that. This daycare is also regulated by Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning, which is excellent and they are monitoring the schools frequently. This is a great pleace for our kids to learn and play while we are working and I fully recommend it.

I enrolled because I was in a bind and needed childcare quickly, but there were red flags from the beginning. When I first called, I was told they had a spot, only to be called back while I was on my way to tour and told they didn't. Two days later, I called again as a prospective parent and was told they did have a spot for a 9-month-old. That was my first red flag. The infant room was dull and lacked stimulation, toys were reportedly cleaned only once a week, infants received no snacks, and they had no outdoor time. Most concerning, my daughter was frequently picked up red-faced and exhausted from crying. One day, I found her sitting next to a teacher, bawling and reaching to be held, while the teacher sat there emotionless and did nothing to comfort her. As a mother, that was heartbreaking to witness. There were also cleanliness and illness concerns. One day the daycare smelled strongly of cleaning chemicals, with a mop bucket directly outside the infant room. Another morning, 9 babies were crammed into the tiny room, many crying and screaming. I also saw visibly sick children with extremely runny noses. My daughter, who had never been sick before attending, became sick shortly afterward and passed it to me. The bottle situation was another major issue. They don't allow glass bottles, which I understand, but I offered multiple alternatives because I was uncomfortable with my baby's milk being heated in plastic. I provided silicone sleeves for her glass bottles and eventually purchased shatterproof glass bottles completely covered in silicone. Rather than working with me on a solution, I was told she could not return unless she had plastic bottles. They also did not consistently ensure she finished her milk or refrigerate leftover milk. Communication was difficult because her teacher did not speak English, making it challenging to communicate my daughter's routine, preferences, and needs. There is also a $300 deposit that is refundable only with two weeks' notice, in addition to a $150 registration fee. I ultimately lost my deposit because I couldn't bring myself to keep my daughter there another week. That cost was worth it for my daughter's well-being. What also stood out to me was how little concern they showed when I informed them I was unenrolling my daughter. The response was simply "OK!" There was no concern and no acknowledgment of my daughter's departure. Overall, my experience felt very transactional. I did not feel my daughter was receiving the warmth, empathy, attentiveness, and individualized care I expect from a daycare. I know everyone's experience is different, and based on the other reviews, I may be in the minority. But as a mom, you know your child, and you know when something doesn't feel right. This place simply wasn't a good fit for my daughter, and I'm glad I trusted my instincts and pulled her out.

I was told everywhere from 9 months to 1.5 years. Because we didn't have 7-9 months to plan for a baby coming, our options were limited. My daughter started going here when she was 7 weeks old and she went until she was 11 months when we moved to NYC. The teachers were really great and my daughter seemed to really like it and didn't seem adverse to going. We stayed in NY for a year and when we got back, we enrolled her again. She loves her teachers. She talks about them all the time. The people who work here seem to really care about the kids. I also like the fact that everyone who works there knows the kids names even if they aren't in that class (pre k teachers knowing 2 year olds). The place is really clean and that's also important. The price is also fairly economical (compared to a lot of other places I had talked to) which helps. They only seem to have waiting lists for Pre K, but for infants and toddlers, they have an extra room so if they need to open it up to fix the teacher/student ratio they do.

The daycare thing is pretty new to us and leaving the boys for the first time was a bit nerve racking but now I know, with no doubt, that they are at one of the best Centers in town.

You can imagine my anxiety and stress at the time, but when I got a call from Cynthia saying that I can enroll my kiddo in their GA Pre-K program, it was such a relief. Paperwork completed, court docs submitted to the school, hastey orientation/open house provided... the school year was rocky, but with a lot of patience and support from Ms. Lisa and Binal, we made it through to March 2020... COVID 19. Honestly, Ms. Lisa and Binal are why I am giving two stars instead of just one. Bright from the Start categorizes our students based upon their socio economic status and needs. This is done behind the scene's and is the provider's responsibility to request adequate documentation and properly categorize the kids when reporting to the state. Needless to say, my foster child was miscategorized. I was charged monthly for meals which the state/federal gov would have provided at no expense to me, if this clerical error did not occur. I found this out when applying for much needed aid during this pandemic. Again, due to this error, my Child did not qualify. I spoke with the DOE along with the Department of Human Services, and because the reports were submitted in error, there is no way to correct my student's record. After finding all of this out, I requested a full refund and the value of the aid lost. I emailed Tiffany, Brittney, Cynthia and their Bright from the Start Rep. I followed up, requesting a corporate contact... no response. I contacted the corporate office's generic number and recruiter and left messages. After a month of no response, I emailed the CEO and CFO of Spring Education, whose name I pulled from the secretary of state's website, along with the school administrators. I FINALLY received a response. This response was from corporate's counsel & yes, all blame is being put on me. I didn't provide the documents needed to properly categorize my Child, and apparently, I was asked "repeatedly" for it. A blatant lie. If you are thinking of enrolling in the GA Pre-K Program here and your Child has an IEP or is on MediCaid, do not. The administrators of the school are not familiar with the services available and are clueless when it comes to Public Education Programs.

One time I went to pick up my son and he was following behind 2 parents with 2 other children...he had made it through 2 doors into the area where the front desk is, so they definitely don't watch them like they should! Always wet up and clothes always inside out and backwards at pickup they dnt even think to fix their clothes! They told me after 4 months of attendance that they needed an IEP and evaluation for him to be able to return and that would tell them how to respond when he's upset and crying or acting out! You would think a daycare that has been caring for him for 4 months would have established a way to deal with a child when he's upset...however they rather outsource to help them learn how to run a daycare! If they needed an evaluation for children that don't speak they should have asked for that in the beginning for all non verbal children or all children of that matter since they sending them home for screaming and acting out from time to time! Mr. Eric also don't document incidents like other daycares to let you know a problem is arising, he just kick the child out giving you no time to work on things or find another daycare for that matter! Thank God I have the pleasure of having my own businesses and not punching nobody's clock as I wouldn't have a job dealing with this daycare...also a ratio of one teacher for every 6 toddlers is required however my sons class had 15 students and one teacher!
