The pre-K here is Georgia Funded and it's on a first come basis. So they set a date early in the year and you pretty much come by 7 or something to stand in line and hope you get a spot. They have a few different classrooms with different start times. You can request a certain time if it works better for you. So far my daughter has been there for a few weeks and she loves it. I ask her everyday what she thinks and she never has a bad thing to say. They learn different things on a weekly basis. We're only on week 3 so I can't really comment on the learning aspect. They have optional internet monitoring. You pay extra for it if you want it. It's not the best but it's cheap. You can't watch the video on a MAC or on a newer 64 bit computer so you better have an old one. Luckily my father had one. :) The video you see is in one corner of the room your child is in and that's all you get. But to be honest, its okay to check in every once in a while. In my opinion you shouldn't be glued to the video at home anyway. You should have a little trust.

We toured several preschools in the area, but nothing really felt like the right fit. Many of them felt a bit institutional. AAIMS, however, felt different. Ms. Nargis, the director, gave us a tour, and I could tell she really cares about the school. You can see how much thought she puts into it and how much she wants it to be a great place for both the kids and the teachers. The kids looked happy and playful, the teachers were welcoming, and the whole atmosphere just felt right. What I'm most thankful for is what happened a few months after our daughter started. Our family was going through a difficult season, and she developed separation anxiety and became very attached to her favorite blanket. As a mom, it was heartbreaking to leave her during that time. Ms. Nargis and Ms. Teressa were incredibly patient and supportive. They genuinely cared about helping her through that season. They kept me updated, worked closely with me, and gave her the extra reassurance she needed. Knowing she was surrounded by people who understood what she was going through and truly wanted to help meant so much to us. That kind of care is hard to find, and it meant the world to our family. Our daughter has come such a long way in overcoming her separation anxiety. Now she runs into preschool with a huge smile, and one of the sweetest things is seeing her comfort her friends when they're sad to say goodbye to their moms. That just amazes me. Watching her grow in confidence has been such a joy, and we're so thankful to all of the teachers at AAIMS. I also love the curriculum. It's engaging, age-appropriate, and I can see how much she's learning while still having plenty of time to play and just be a kid. We also appreciate the variety of extracurricular activities they offer, which gives the kids opportunities to explore new interests and build confidence. One thing I really respect is the way Ms. Nargis leads AAIMS. I know it isn't easy running a preschool and balancing the needs of so many children, parents, and teachers, but her love and passion for the school are genuine. You can tell she truly wants AAIMS to be the best it can be, and I really admire that. Moving to a new state came with a lot of unknowns, but finding AAIMS has truly been a blessing for our family. We're incredibly thankful for Ms. Nargis and the wonderful teachers who have loved, encouraged, and supported our daughter. Thank you for making her first preschool experience such a positive one. Of course Jessica quickly recanted her statement when it was met with so much shock, stating "well that's not really a complaint". From there, she accused me of talking over her when in actuality it was the other way around. When I asked her to continue, she made a comment that I admittedly can't remember verbatim, but whatever it was, it made me laugh in a "are you kidding me?" type of tone because I just couldn't believe where this conversation was headed. My laughter apparently was the final straw that led to her telling me my daughter is no longer welcome. Jessica and the rest of the staff try to put on a front as though they treat everyone like "family". As the business owner, I completely understand she has every right to make these types of decisions. However, removing a child from the program in the middle of the school year because their parents "asks too many questions", without any type of notice, is NOT what you do to "family". Jessica is completely irrational and insensitive as she made this decision without a proper explanation and without considering how this impacts us as two working parents, and most importantly, our daughter. With all that being said, beware of this place! Some general comments... I strongly believe they don't openly welcome parents into the building because they're trying to hide the poor upkeep of the place. The facility is dated, dimly lit, and just not a welcoming atmosphere. If they were proud of their facility, they wouldn't have old signs up, giving off the impression that parents are not permitted into the building. I don't typically leave reviews, but felt compelled to do so about this place. So do with it as you wish. Just know this is nowhere near the best daycare/school in the area. We saw that very quickly when enrolling our son elsewhere. Night and day difference!! Good luck on your search parents!!

My youngest started here at 8 weeks old. With my youngest daughter I was very nervous as I didn't have to put my older daughter in a daycare at such a young age. Mrs. Jessica was wonderful, she always listened if I had any concerns and would inform me to watch the live feed and check back in with me to see how I was feeling and how the staff was doing. She always made sure I was worry free and happy with the care my daughter was receiving. She really went above and beyond for my girls.
