Convenient Location & Well-Organized Facility I found out about this college when I took my State Exam here. Out of all the options, this was the closest one to me. The building is single-level and well laid out. They have an office, classroom, two labs, a lounge, a kitchenette, and two restrooms. Everything was neat, clean, and organized. On exam day, there were two proctors who split us into two groups, which helped things move quickly and efficiently. We belong to the medical profession within our family. My daughter has expressed her desire to become a nurse. One piece of advice I have is for her to start at an entry-level position. I reached out to Bakersfield Memorial Hospital and my wife contacted Kern Hospital for information, and both institutions recommended Cellan Central Valley College. As it turns out, this college offers a suitable and accessible program for my daughter, as she is currently studying the prerequisites for nursing. She successfully completed her Certified Nursing degree within a period of two months. It is a well-known fact that being a hospital CNA is an extremely challenging and physically demanding job. However, with their thorough understanding of the hospital environment, these individuals are equipped with the necessary knowledge to handle the job in a compassionate, skilled, and professional manner. It is important to note that the top 10 candidates are guaranteed employment in the local hospital. I had a great experience continuing my education with cellan Central Valley college as a CNA. The education was straight forward to the Requirements of a CNA. The instructors are full with knowledge, very detail and very helpful. Mrs V made me feel confident in what I'm learning and answered all my questions in class. Mrs V and Mrs Vera are amazing teaches and they treat you like family. Miss Ashley is amazing as well she helps you in any area she can. A thorough and solid foundation for education into the medical field. Their Nurse Assistant Training program only took about a month, yet I learned so much. I have been thoroughly prepped for my written and skills part of the state exam. I attended Cellan Central Valley College at the beginning of 2022. I just have to the program was outstanding. The process of learning basic healthcare skills and learning the ways of how to take basic care in any setting while also obtaining a BLS card as well. The class was enjoyable and the the professor Ms.O was not only thorough but kept the class fun and exciting while keeping it interesting while it being only a 23 day accelerated course. She was a God- send to us all because she knew the answer to every question we had asked her in the clinical setting. Not only did she teach us important skills needed to do our jobs, but she did it effortlessly with poise. Her presence and expertise made us baby- nursing students less anxious and more confident in knowing the way we were being guided throughout the process would be a calm and nurturing way of learning. She truly valued her position as a nursing instructor and has greatly impacted my career. She would sit with us at the beginning of clinicals and give us words of wisdom and support and let us know she had our backs 100%. Also, I will never forget her in- class lecture on Acid/ Base Imbalances- she made it look effortless and helped us in learning certain mnemonics to make the information easier to understand and learn, not just to memorize for the exams.
