I found the piece on the ground myself, and by Tuesday she was eating less, so I took her in for a consultation. The reception staff, vet techs, and Dr. Hayden were all wonderful, and I had no issues with them. The problem happened the next day during the scheduled dental procedure with Dr. Kirstin Bloss. After speaking with the vet tech that morning and clarifying why my dog was there, I got a call afterward saying the procedure went well. When I asked how many teeth had been pulled, Dr. Bloss told me none. I reminded her the entire reason for the visit was my dog's broken tooth. Instead of taking accountability, she argued that the tooth looked old and said she had not been told that part, even though that was the reason for the visit. Her solution was to offer to put my 13-year-old dog back under anesthesia after she was already waking up. As an owner, I was not comfortable with that. What made this worse was the complete lack of empathy, accountability, and communication. When I called back because I felt this had not been handled appropriately, I was directed back to Dr. Bloss. She apologized for the "lack of communication," but showed no real concern and even asked why I had switched vets, then suggested I should have gone somewhere else. That was incredibly unprofessional. When I picked up my dog, I asked to speak with Dr. Mike Bloss. Instead of hearing out my concerns, he defended everything that had happened and told me he saw nothing wrong with how I had been spoken to. He said they could have safely put my dog back under based on her bloodwork, but that was never properly explained to me beforehand. He also said removing the tooth may have been worse than leaving it in, which again was never communicated during the consultation. When I asked why none of this had been clearly explained from the start, I was basically told they were not going to make me happy. What disturbed me most was the tone and attitude I was met with when I tried to calmly address a valid concern about my dog's care. I was respectful the entire time. I did not curse, name-call, or act aggressively. I simply wanted answers about why the procedure I brought my dog in for was not done. Instead, I was met with defensiveness, dismissal, and behavior that made me feel very uncomfortable. Based on this experience, I would not trust Dr. Kirstin Bloss or Dr. Mike Bloss with my pets. The lack of professionalism, poor communication, and complete absence of empathy toward a concerned pet owner was extremely upsetting.

Dr…read more Naylor was very understanding about Ellie's situation with her vomiting, she was very gentle, patient, and caring with my 15 1/2 year old Ellie. Dr. Hayden did a complete health check and gave Ellie Top Notch Care and Ellie took it extremely well and did not get upset being handled by Dr. Naylor and her assistant. I highly recommend taking your beloved dog or cat to see Dr. Naylor. I felt that she actually cared and felt vert sympathetic to my situation. As…read moreI feared, the situation was worse than I'd been led to believe and required more aggressive care. While we started trying to get things under control, the clinic was excellent about calling to check up on how my dog was doing. They were great about getting us in frequently (with and without appointments) to monitor progress. Ultimately, things had progressed too far, leaving only one real choice. Dr. Dooms spent extra time discussing the decision I had to make and letting my cry. She was even able to recommend a traveling vet that did at-home euthanasia and tried to find out their availability that day. Her kindness and empathy was such a stark contrast to my previous experience. I wish I'd come to Crossroads sooner because it would likely have made all the difference. While Crossroads may be more expensive than some clinics, you absolutely get what you pay for, and my four-legged loved ones deserve only the best.

I had two dogs before this dog whom I took to other veterinarians. The contrast between previous veterinarians and Dr. Flathers was pronounced. The last veterinarian did not appear to be as thorough in her examinations, her equipment malfunctioned on our last two visits and she seemed to be unable to confidently diagnose my dog's health issue. Every time I have seen Dr. Flathers I have been very impressed with her knowledge and diagnosis of my pet's problems. I would highly recommend Dr. Flathers and Angel Animal Hospital. I appreciate Dr. Flathers' superior knowledge, abilities and genuine concern for the pets she treats and their owners.

We no longer use Nixa Animal Hospital because we live in NW Springfield and it's too far, but if we ever lived close enough, we absolutely would use her again. I originally started using this vet office since it was close to my apartment, but it was the best decision I made for my senior dog. Dr. Molly had seen both my cat and senior dog. Towards the end of my dog's life, we were taking him every month or two for various issues. He had been a stray for who knows how long and had a lot of issues. He had cancer and several issues with his organs and teeth. Dr. Molly helped us make his final days comfortable until the time had come to put him to sleep. It was the hardest decision I've ever had to make, but she assured us that it was the right one and treatment would have failed. She was so respectful of us and our baby, and I would recommend her to anyone. She was also great with our cat, but she only saw her a few times for annual vaccinations. This is my favorite vet clinic!

No treatment was offered except IV fluids for possible dehydration. No treatment was offered to prevent further damage or another stroke. We felt unimportant and ignored. I have taken two pets to this vet clinic and overall it's been fine. First I came to have my dog…read morespayed and that was a very seamless process and inexpensive. My experience yesterday was not as satisfying. Unfortunately, after many years, I had to put my other dog down. He's been acting odd running into things and circling. My online vet advised that it's likely he has a brain tumor or dog dementia. My dog did not have any dignity left, and after prayer we decided as a family it was best for him to be put down, When I tried to get him out of his crate to weigh him, so that I could pre-pay, one of the gals in the office asked me what's wrong with my dog. This was a troubling question as it was clear, and she knew, that I was upset, having to have made the question decision to put him to sleep. After he passed away, and I was trying to pay the price that I was quoted on the phone was suddenly doubled. That was troubling as well. This is a situation and grief is difficult. There was a time during sedation that my dog was shaking and appearing to have a seizure and I was not helped. Luckily, this didn't last too long, and I was able to comfort my dog as he relaxed.
