While we started trying to get things under control, the clinic was excellent about calling to check up on how my dog was doing. They were great about getting us in frequently (with and without appointments) to monitor progress. Ultimately, things had progressed too far, leaving only one real choice. Dr. Dooms spent extra time discussing the decision I had to make and letting my cry. She was even able to recommend a traveling vet that did at-home euthanasia and tried to find out their availability that day. Her kindness and empathy was such a stark contrast to my previous experience. I wish I'd come to Crossroads sooner because it would likely have made all the difference. While Crossroads may be more expensive than some clinics, you absolutely get what you pay for, and my four-legged loved ones deserve only the best.

A few years ago we went through several months of treatments and hundreds of dollars with being told he would lose his hearing and he'd have to have his ear canals removed. Happily he still has his hearing and I've continued to treat his ears without the Vets assistance. Recently we returned to get his shots updated and address a skin condition which has worsened. The Vet immediately addressed his ears, talked about fleas and ticks, and a need for Appoquel allergy medication. No shots updated, a shampoo that hasn't helped, ear infection treated but since has returned, no change in his skin condition and the bill was over $250. Needless to say we are not returning to a Vet who would rather do only what they think over the wellbeing of the client and owner. BTW, my dog has no fleas or ticks and never has and doesn't need $100 a month allergy medication that did NOTHING! Most of the other staff are excellent and do a good job. I would make a suggestion to the Veterinarian, listen to your clients, seriously you're not in my home and get to see how I care for my best friend and assumptions about his care along with not listening to "I prefer more natural remedies" is why we won't be returning.

My dog died as a result of treatment or lack of treatment from this clinic. He was suffering from…read morean auto immune disease and had a prostate infection. He was very sick and I explain to the doctor that I didn't think it was good for the surgery. She assured me that it would not be a problem and that this was the cure. When I went to pick him up he was in a coma and having seizures. She said it had nothing to do with the anesthesia and that my dog must have been epileptic. He died later that night in an emergency clinic. I later learned the dogs with immuno diseases have a higher risk of seizures when on Anesthesia. If this vet would have been more educated or done her homework my Titan would've been alive today.

I had two dogs before this dog whom I took to other veterinarians. The contrast between previous veterinarians and Dr. Flathers was pronounced. The last veterinarian did not appear to be as thorough in her examinations, her equipment malfunctioned on our last two visits and she seemed to be unable to confidently diagnose my dog's health issue. Every time I have seen Dr. Flathers I have been very impressed with her knowledge and diagnosis of my pet's problems. I would highly recommend Dr. Flathers and Angel Animal Hospital. I have taken two pets to this vet clinic and overall it's been fine. First I came to have my dog…read morespayed and that was a very seamless process and inexpensive. My experience yesterday was not as satisfying. Unfortunately, after many years, I had to put my other dog down. He's been acting odd running into things and circling. My online vet advised that it's likely he has a brain tumor or dog dementia. My dog did not have any dignity left, and after prayer we decided as a family it was best for him to be put down, When I tried to get him out of his crate to weigh him, so that I could pre-pay, one of the gals in the office asked me what's wrong with my dog. This was a troubling question as it was clear, and she knew, that I was upset, having to have made the question decision to put him to sleep. After he passed away, and I was trying to pay the price that I was quoted on the phone was suddenly doubled. That was troubling as well. This is a situation and grief is difficult. There was a time during sedation that my dog was shaking and appearing to have a seizure and I was not helped. Luckily, this didn't last too long, and I was able to comfort my dog as he relaxed.

We have used Bow Wow for boarding with vacations and things in the past as well, but this experience put them over the top for us. Our dogs didn't want to come home and always love going here! She said she heard them yelling at my dog to shut up because she was barking. Since coming home my dog has been on antibiotics and steroids. We will never take her back. I'm so glad my cousin picked her up early while I was out of town. This is not a good place to take your pet. Kennel cough in 24 hours....what!?
